Re: My Story (I hope it gives people hope)
Damn , almost sounds as if I've wrote that first part myself. I'm 20 from the UK and have every symptom you've listed although I'm also suffering with acid reflux and gastritis.
I completely agree about the NHS , maybe it's because we're young ( I'm only 20 ) but my NHS doctors seem to think they know more about my body than I do. Diagnosing me with
Depression and saying I don't know what I'm talking about.
I've been private the last few months , couldn't really afford it myself either but I've got much more achieved than I ever did with the NHS.
Did your problems have a root cause ?.
I was on
Antibiotics for a long time as a kid and around a year and a half ago another course of strong
Antibiotics triggered everything I suffer with off.
Massive weight loss , malabsorption , fatigue ,
Depression , anxiety , brain fog , acid reflux and gastritis.
Almost sounds as if we're suffering from the same condition !.
I always considered low stomach acid seeing as though I'm lacking b12 and other vital vitamins and also due to the fact that I get quite severe acid reflux.
I took a betaine HCL capsule once though in order to raise my stomach acid and it made me feel ten times worse so I'm not sure.
I'm due to have a biopsy taken from my intestines within a few weeks and after that most likely stool samples and I was going to ask about checking my stomach acid levels.
All this privately is costing ridiculous amounts but it's necessary if I ever want to feel better !.
Thanks for sharing this anyway , glad to hear you're starting to feel better.
