Re: Leaky Gut, reactive hypoglycemia, salt cravings, poor conversion of T4 to Free T3, normal THS & T4, Thyroid nodules
Welcome to CZ. It would appear that we both have a few things in common. I have adrenal fatigue, leaky gut, grain intolerant, reactive hypoglycemia and just ordered 1/2 of a grass fed cow.
Now the hypoglycemia is gone as long as I stay on a lowish carb diet. About 50 - 100 gms per day is about right for me. This allows me to eat lots of cooked veg and some salad. I also take 400mcg of chromium per day which I tested low for from a hair analysis from

in case you are interested in doing one.
I have been eating grain free for the past 4 yrs. Gluten intolerant and was told by my alternative doc to remain grain free (Specific Carb Diet) until the leaky gut healed. Shortly into this diet I decided to go raw vegan for two years and became much sicker. During this time I battled a very bad
parasite problem.
For the past year I have been on a limited carb Weston Price diet and am now healing. Look up Dr. Lawrence Wilson. It is a cooked veg and animal protein diet. I have also been doing the Nutritional Balancing protocol for the past 8 months. I tested very low in all but 2 minerals. My mineral levels are slowly improving and so is the adrenal fatigue. This includes digestive enzymes, high doses of minerals and adrenal glandulars.
I also feel my gut flora has never been right my entire life as constipation has been an ongoing problem. It will clear for a few months and then return. I am now back on probiotics and plan to take them for the next 6 months. I will try and go back to the homemade kefir and sauerkraut. The kefir had a constipating effect in the past.
Take a listen to the video below from Dr. Natasha Cambell-McBride. It is very powerful for those of us who continue to have digestive problems.
