Re: Your Hypoglycemia may not be Hypoglycemia, but Toxic Hunger!
This article makes some interesting points however... I am not sure the "cure" is exactly what CFS/Adrenal Fatigue patients need. I am UNDERweight. I've lost 20lbs since I first became sick. I've done several fasts and stayed on the candida/paleo diet for years. Luckily in the past few months I've been able to get my weight back up about 5lbs. But I must eat AT LEAST 6 meals a day to maintain 110lbs. I am not clinically "hypoglycemic" but I have all the symptoms - headaches, dizziness, hot flashes, feeling like I am going to pass out.
I definitely think Toxic Hunger exists for a lot of people but from what I understand about Nutritional Balancing... I am a slow oxidizer, my body is creating energy slower than I can consume it.
Maybe its both... maybe my body is taking on another layer of toxins and I restrain the healing instead by making my body digest food. But for many of us who have nutritional imbalances, the juice fasts and diets just further deplete our levels.
Thanks for the article - I always want to try and understand different theories about the problem!
