Some people really respond well to B12, folate etc however, a few report an increase in agitation (poor mood).

Some feel better when using moderate levels of NAC; others don't tolerate foods and supplements that contain thiols/sulfur.

This can be very complex!

Some testing companies have tests that doctors can use to try to get a better feel for an individual's situation before they jump in with lots of supplements.

DDI has a methylation profile which also includes plasma cysteine. (NAC provides cysteine)

Also the list of sulfur foods at this site might give you a feel for your tolerance for thiols, including NAC.
