Re: Copper and Anxiety
Try a combination of the amino acids l-lysine and l-arginine. It acts just like a benzo but without the nasty side effects, it literally changed my life and has allowed me to get my copper level to the lowest point it has ever been. I wrote a post on this a couple of months ago if you want to take a look
Lysine and arginine are antagonistic to each other. For example, the reason some people take lysine for herpes outbreaks is because it antagonizes arginine. Arginine activates the herpes viruses. Therefore, by antagonizing the arginine the lysine can put the herpes viruses back in to remission.
If you want something to calm the central nervous system then in my opinion the amino acid glycine is a great choice. Glycine is the smallest of the amino acids and is readily absorbed. It increases levels of the neurotransmitter regulator GABA that calms us. Anti-anxiety drugs and alcohol work on the same principle or simply increase GABA activity.
Since amino acids compete for absorption they are best taken on an empty stomach. Therefore, I recommend taking the glycine at least 30 minutes before meals. A gram (1,000mg) is usually sufficient.
