Copper and Anxiety


I have been trying to chelate copper for the last 4 (going on 5) months. Although the detox has magnified all of my symptoms, my main complaint is extreme, unbearable anxiety. At first I tried to take it slow but immediately it seemed the anxiety was just out of control. After waiting several weeks and the anxiety did not improve (more like worsened), I decided to just proceed without stopping. I have only taken 2 breaks during the process.

I currently take: molybdenum, zinc, manganese, vitamin b6, and several others including NAC and I just started ALA. I also receive intravenous vitamin c drips every other week. I am having a bowel movement once a day and I try to sweat for a little bit everyday.

I just purchased some 5-HTP and while it calms me a little... it is hardly enough to make a difference. I can't take prescription anxiety medication because it hurts my stomach (and it really doesn't help anyway).

I feel like the anxiety is really hindering my progress because the more stressed I am, the worse my adrenals get. The anxiety is so severe I wake up hourly in the middle of the night with panic attacks and night sweats. It's more like paranoia! This all started once I began the supplements.

I would like to proceed with my protocol as above but I am starting to wonder if I am just stirring up the copper. The anxiety really has not improved AT ALL during the last several months and I can't tell if I am making any progress? I read it can take about six months but am I actually detoxing or am I just stirring up everything?
