Re: Questions
Anfisa,
lots of good messages for you and all the support you need. Many of us have tackled exactly what you are about to do, and a problem shared is a problem halved as it were.
Make no mistake though, and pulling no punches, fasting CAN be a very trying ordeal, depending on your levels of toxemia, which will have built up gradually over the course of your lifetime, but then again, some people just sail through despite high levels.
My own first fast was horrendous with detox symptoms: headache, foul breath, extremely coated tongue, weakness, some vomiting around the 20 day stage, a spitting crisis, but then I was extremely toxic and enervated and had a serious life-threatening disease.
My second extended fast was plain sailing and a real joy.
Despite your symptoms, or the absence of them on your fast, realize that you are doing what Mother Nature intended: you are using her innate method of healing and cleansing.
The healing power comes from ALL of your bodily energies and esp' digestive energy (the most demanding energy expenditure) which is diverted for that purpose.
Paul Bragg was often quoted as saying on his own early fasting experiences: just "grin and bear".
All of the above may have built a rather gloomy portrait of fasting, but this isn't always the case of course, and as NH has told us, and others will testify, but I wanted you to be fully prepared as to what will and may occur on your fasting journey.
If you experience any symptoms of any description, and for reassurance, post away, and we will be only too pleased to help you with your journey towards wellness.
