Re: Questions
anfisa,
Chris made some excellent points in his replies to you and I wholeheartedly agree that you should just GO FOR IT. Whether you fast for a day, a week or several weeks, getting started is the all important first step. Then take it a day at a time and if you feel at any moment that you want to stop, that's OK. You will still benefit from every day that you fast.
While you're fasting or even while you're building up to a fast, you would do well to read up on much of Shelton's works especially his book Food Combining Made Easy, commonly available via Amazon. I find that knowing the WHY behind the healthful living guidelines is extremely inspiring and the more we know about how GOOD healthy living is for us and how BAD unhealthy living is, the easier it is to change the habits of a lifetime that bring us only disease and misery.
Healthful living is also easier when you associate with people who practice healthful living. It doesn't mean that you have to give up friends and family who help perpetuate bad habits but you can counter their negative influence by spending more time socialising with health-seekers.
Good luck on your quest for health and happiness.
