Re: Or Excess Copper?
I think if I have too much copper it's probably coming from my water. I have a green/blue stain on one sink (the others I scrubbed real good recently. LOL) and today when I took a bath I paid extra attention and the water was obviously very greenish. Have you ever come across an old green penny? It's that same greenish color.
Other than that, I don't really know. When I read about the sink stains and colored water that was kind of my eureka moment because ours is so prominent. I wish I could afford to have the water tested- and myself and my family, but we are struggling to pay our regular bills as it is.
I would think it would be safe to supplement a low dose of zinc. There are some supplements that come with both zinc and copper if a person is concerned about getting them out of balance. I'm pretty sure I have copper in my water though so I really do not want to take anymore. I ordered some 30mg capsules of zinc and once I finish that bottle I probably would take 10-15 mg a day. These are just my guesses of what seems like would be a safe amount after doing some reading here and elsewhere.
I've been drinking this blue/green water since 1999. I can't help but wonder how much of that has affected my health and how many of my health problems have come from that, but maybe I was blaming it on other stuff.... Or maybe it just played a small part in some of my problems. I don't know. I also don't know if I can get rid of the blue green water. I am hoping that taking zinc on a regular basis will help me feel better and maybe more normal.
