Thanks GG - I'm going to admit that I breastfed her until she was 4 because docs couldn't find an alternative. Oh! Boy! Do I feel shame in saying that! My output was a gallon per day. We lived in Europe then, and I got her on fresh, raw goat & cows milk until we moved. I'm sure this is why she got hooked like she did on milk. During that time I bought Italian mineral water. We now live in the U.S. in a state that has laws against raw, and I have to pay a lot for a better version of pasturized milk. Her diet doesn't come close to the typical diet her friends are on, but if it wasn't for our health issues I probably wouldn't be so strict.
I think your right about the pre-diabetic. She does show signs of low blood Sugar right now and does a good job of trying to monitor by telling me if she get's the shakes. Doctor's here have checked her and tell me there is nothing to be concerned with, but she feels better if she eats proteins and drinks more water. I'm off to read more of the info you have posted. Thanks, HH
