I don't have time to get into this but I think you are foolish to mess with cilantro. There are just too many bad stories. The chelator that is in it is not well known. We don't know how long it hangs around in the body so we cannot choose a wise dosing schedule. I can't imagine anyone using is less frequently than every 2 hours.
Lipoic acid is a very well regarded antioxidant even by main stream medicine. We actually all have small amounts in our body that we get from some foods. It helps to regenerate the very important antioxidant glutathione.
Based on the reactions people have had from cilantro, I think the chelator in it actually does move Hg across the blood brain barrier. This will tend to help people with certain symptoms yet it will likely make their brain-related symptoms worse if there is more Hg in the body than in the brain or if they use it too infrequently.
