Don't know if op has affected my skin but it has had positive effect in my mouth.

I had a root canal and cap done to my back molar. It hurt to chew on it a few days later and eventually it hurt in the gum above when I touched it. My guess is that some sort of infection set in.

OP lessened the pain within a few days. Now (few months later) I have to press with a little pressure to even feel it.
