Re: Concerned about chronic sinusitis
Mat:
I'm speaking from a clinician's perspective. So, please don't take offense.
Over several decades I've seen people try about every conceivable diet in order to cure their health problems including candida diets. These diets sometimes help alleviate the symptoms, but once a person "falls off the wagon" with the diet, the problem raises its ugly head . . . sometimes in the form of other symptoms.
Here's another reason diets rarely have a long term healing: The body's ability to break down and assimilate nutrients from any daily diet is minimal since this is the main reason the person baecame sick in the first place. In other words, the systematic breakdown of the various systems of the body BEGIN WITH THE LIVER, GALLBLADDER SYSTEMS. Then there's the domino affect that start slowly starving the rest of the body. As a result, various symptoms start arising all due to the fact that the body has become nutritionally weak.
Now . . . everything I said so far isn't entirely true. Reason: Herbs are food. They're specific nutrients that can be directed to strengthen any part that has become dysfunctional as far as good health is concerned. In this sense, a diet of properly administered herbals can be the drastic diet change you're searching for.
Make sense?
So, if you're searching for a way to merely "control" the symptoms of candida, the diet may do that for you. But if you want to feed the body in a way that the body can actually heal itself, then turn to herbology.
That expression "turn to herbology" is in itself a complicated venture and a subject for another time.
Hope I've explained it without being too dogmatic.
