Eventually we'll finish this thread

Yesterday I listened to a podcast from Byron Richards, a nutritionist who also likes a basic approach, although he doesn't care for more than about 5 mg of iodine. Anyway, he reminded me for the upteenth time that inflammation on the neck, shoulders, and scalp is frequently the result of lymphatic backup. The body is trying to take out the trash (from the lymph), and is having to do so through the skin. It has to use the skin because its preferred organ of elimination, the colon, is in disarray. That suggests to me that the origin of your scalp/neck issues is your colon. Bacterial imbalance, candida, other pathogens, who knows. But if you get your gut working right, so the trash can be removed appropriately, your body'll stop trying to use your skin for that.

It's an idea, anyway :)
