Re: baking soda and coconut oil advice (will post results)
I really appreciate the helpful advice and compassion coming from this forum, and hope that there is more to come. Through communication we all can help eachother successful battle this disease and work towards finding a long lasting regimen/cure. I agree i think every regimen and reaction completely depends on the individual and some messing around to find one that works for you will take a little time.
I also think that for me personally baking soda is a little harsh for my face, especially when used constantly. Instead of using the baking soda daily i think I will use it as a wash about twice a week for another couple weeks to see what happens and not quite give up yet on it. I mean according to others I've been through the worst "dying off" phase so I might as well stick it out for another couple weeks.
For some reason my skin seems to be more greasy in general all over lately not sure if it is the change in weather or what. To control this i will be getting the Nivea sensitive face wash for men, thanks for the advice "coolvibe". I have been using Nivea sensitive skin after shave lotion and have found nothing better in the past. I get razor burn easy due to my sensitive skin and this has helped some. I also use aloe for razor burn. Any suggestions on how to prevent razor burn would be helpful as well. I'm currently thinking about switching from electric to gillette fusion to shave with the grain rather then against it and to keep bacteria from building in the electric razor foil.
Once I have washed my face in the shower i will no longer use a towel to pat dry and will simply let my face air dry. I will then apply to the wet skin a small amount of melted coconut oil in soft circles to the affected areas to remove the dry dead skin and moisturize. I will be doing this in the mornings because i shower before work. at night i will simply wash my face with the nivea face wash, rinse with cold water, and again apply a very small amount of coconut oil. Do you think this would be using to much coconut oil? would you recommend just at night... Or a sensitive lotion in the day to hide some dryness but not become as inflammed...
Also depending on my results in the near future, i will look into getting ozonated coconut oil instead of simply virgin coconut oil. Even though it seems to be only online and fairly expensive. "coolvibe" did this make a big difference when switching?
Again thank you so much for the advice. I really appreciate it and it is so helpful and supportive. I can not thank this forum enough especially "coolvibe" for all the insight.
