a lot of people swear on using coconut oil. if you google penetration of the root or hair follicle, you will see that coconut oil comes up. i'm increasingly thinking that the reason for coconut oil's efficacy is that the oil can go down into the tip of the root and hair shaft where the yeast infection of SD begins.

(see my update on the early 1900's era SD treatment protocol post today).

right now i am using a mix of coconut oil and chopped garlic on my face (when i'm not going out!), and trying that out.

sorry to hear that some of you are having a reaction. one of the things that makes SD treatment so difficult is the dual diagnosis of the condition and the individual; it varies so greatly.
