Re: If You Could Only Take One Supplement, Which One Would You Choose?
I do love the energy I get from DE (diatomaceous earth). I will sometimes put 1/4 - 1/2 tsp in my coffee and whip it with a hand blender. It increases my motivation a lot for the day. But I'm not taking it at the moment because I'm trying to drop a few
pounds and I think my digest system tends to accumulate the stuff. I end up gaining a little weight over a few days of using it.
At the moment my favorite 3 supplements are: Maca - seems to help warm me up. I'm always cold. (And lets not forget the main side effect it has of... ahem! The libido boost)
Phosphatidylserine - I've just begun taking this the last couple weeks and it has really helped my brain function. I'm hoping it might also help my hypothalamus heal and balance my endocrine system. But the brain function is worth it! I've won 3 strategy games with my 11 and 14 yr old sons! Yay! (they think their mom is a dim-wit. LOL)
And I've also recently started taking Chromium Polynicotinate. _ I tried a low carb diet and it gave me muscle cramps, weakness and wow did it make me irritable - Yikes! But since I've started taking the chromium polynicotinate I feel tons better- diet or not! Seriously, this one is a keeper! It has improved my mood 100% and I feel strong again and have energy and the scale is showing that my weight is going down.
I do have to say some of my "old" favorite supplements are Ashwagandha and Siberian Eleuthero.
Those adaptogen herbs have really improved my health a ton. They've helped me go from being weak, foggy minded, overwhelmed and unable to exercise, clean house or do fun things with my family to BEING A FUNCTIONAL PERSON WHO CAN DO ALL THOSE THINGS!
I don't post on here much, but this is one of the places I have gotten a lot of help from doing searches and reading and documenting things that I try.
So...As you can see, how could I ever get rid of any of my precious supplements?
I love feeling awesome and wouldn't go back to being a sick fragile "victim" for anything!
