Re: What would you do tomorrow if you were healed today?
My hope in posting this was to focus our attention as a group to what we desire for our lives, rather than what we fear. Our focusing on love will bring us closer to the things we love. Yet, I think that if we continuously focus on the future, we have not learned what we have come here to learn.
I believe it was Eckhart Tolle in "The Power of Now" that said that in every uncomfortable situation we have several choices: suffer, accept, change the situation, or leave. We want to leave but can't. We are gradually learning how to change. When fear arises we have added mental suffering on top of physical suffering. In acceptance is there love. Love has an incredible power to heal.
And the question for me has always been, "how do I accept without getting stuck here?". I have found that the most power comes from a pattern of alternation between acceptance and the desire/wisdom/actions of change. Can we learn to rest between action in a place of loving acceptance?
