Re: Anyone tried acupuncture ?
It could be dangerous to let the patient alone, due to the fact that certain points do have serious effects, lowering blood pressure, and can trigger severe reactions in individuals.
I had a very huge drop in blood pressure one time, and was VERY happy that the guy removed the needle of that point (and I did not know which has to be removed of course) very quickly.
You can have severe muscle contractions, etc. That's why I'm pretty careful about so-called "acupuncturists" who have learned this ART in a few days.
My practitionner learned with a chinese master during 3 years in China. He is a kinesitherapist who made acupuncture after his studies. All the ones I saw before him were doing wrong things without any effect, and I saw about 4 or 5. Also he do not use any electric stuffs.
MrsLivia, he let the needles about 20 minutes under the skin. He only use 7 or 8 needles in one leg and wrist. The other guys (trying to treat the same problem) used up to 30 needles in my body! I was like a hedgehog lol!
