Re: Anyone tried acupuncture ?
Yeah, I probably wouldn't go to an acupuncturist who has had only three days of training.
But I can't imagine laying on the table with the acupuncturist in there watching me. That seems creepy. All three I've been too would place their needles, hang out for a few moments, dim the lights, close the door, and come back about 20 to 30 minutes later and pull the needles out.
Two of the three would place heat packs, and the Japanese practitioner's cute assistant would give a nice back massage after-wards.
Seriously though, these guys aren't making a fortune, in fact 9 out of 10 TCM school graduates won't make it in the business and the ones that do have very slim margins. Therefore they have to accept about as many appts as they have rooms for. So that means placing the needles in one patient, and going to the next room and doing the same, all while accepting phone calls and scheduling because like I said, they have slim margins and most cannot afford a staff like the typical overpaid MD.
