This would not be my first choice. Neither my second. There are so many better choices such as the fermented foods, fibers, licorice root and yucca root. Much of the active components of the garlic will be absorbed long before it reaches the majority of the intestines. Think about it this way. When you eat garlic you can smell it on your breath and coming out the pores of the skin. In order to do that it had to be absorbed right away in to the bloodstream. So it is being absorbed long before it has a chance to travel through the intestines to contact the bad bacteria.
