Hi Margo,
Perhaps you might be interested in considering an overall health approach to your parasitic/bacterial problem, based upon this quote from Dr. John Tilden, M.D., "Normal persons are deadly to all germs and parasites peculiar to the human habitat." Also this, from Dr. Thomas Levy, M.D., “Vitamin C can also prevent and cure non-viral infections....bacterial, parasitic, and other non-viral infections.”
As "grist for your mill," Margo, are you aware of the almost miraculous results many tens (hundreds?) of thousands of people have experienced, dealing with most of the physical health issues known to humankind, from ingesting the universally powerful antioxidant, ascorbic acid?
If you are seriously interested in finding a solution to your health problem(s), Margo, and gaining better health in all areas of your body, I encourage you to read [at least the first ten paragraphs of] this article, written by Dr. Robert Cathcart, M.D.
http://vitamincfoundation.org/www.orthomed.com/titrate.htm
It has a very good chance of solving your health issue(s). You have only better health to gain by applying its recommendation. What have you got to lose?
These three quotes are instructive:
"There are more than ten thousand scientific papers that make it quite clear that there is not one body process (such as what goes on inside cells or tissues) and not one disease or syndrome (from the common cold to leprosy) that is not influenced - directly or indirectly - by vitamin C." -- Dr. Emanuel Cheraskin, M.D., Dr. Marshall Ringsdorf, D.M.D., and Dr. Emily Sisley, THE VITAMIN C CONNECTION.
"The evidence unequivocally shows that mega-gram doses of vitamin C can prevent and cure a vast list of conditions that plague mankind. It is both inexpensive and completely safe. My conclusion: vitamin C is the 'Primal Panacea.'" -- Dr. Thomas E. Levy, M.D. [You may care to look up the definitions of “primal” and “panacea.”]
“I have never seen a patient that Vitamin C would not benefit.” -- Dr. Frederick Klenner, M.D.
I wish you the best of success, Margo, in your search for better health! If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns about ascorbate/vitamin C therapy, please post them here and/or feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
David
Hi Margo,
First off: The myth of ascorbic acid causing kidney stones has long ago been debunked [and, in fact, the very opposite has been found to be the case].
Secondly: Ascorbic acid is a powerful internal cleanser. My advice is to never completely stop ingesting it, but to moderate one's intake depending upon the detoxification symptoms one is manifesting, i.e. ingesting more [up to Bowel Tolerance] when one is feeling reasonably well, and less when one is feeling too uncomfortable.
Also, Margo, ideally your daily ascorbic acid dosage should be divided up into as many doses as is practicable, i.e. vs. ingesting the whole day's dose at once. As an example, I ingest mine in 10 to 15 [divided] doses per day.
I hope that helps, Margo. And by-all-means, if you have any other questions, comments, and/or concerns [about ascorbate ingestion], I hope you will post them here [and/or please feel free to contact me privately].
Best wishes, Margo,
David
Hi Margo,
There is no legitimate evidence that high dose ingestion of ascorbic acid ever exacerbates any illness or negative health situation. It only [ultimately] helps. To quote Dr. Klenner again, "I have never seen a patient that Vitamin C would not benefit.” And he treated tens-of-thousands of patients, as a general practitioner, in his long career as a physician.
That notwithstanding, Margo, caution is often required, particularly at first, because ascorbic acid is such a powerful internal cleanser, i.e. it might detoxify a person more quickly than they would prefer to endure. My advice is to just take it slow and gradual, and monitor your symptoms, i.e. approach your healing at a pace you can live with.
I hope that helps, Margo, as "grist for your mill."
Best wishes,
David
Hi Margo,
Your post implies that whatever modality you [do decide to] choose will be "risk free." No such modality exists! Neither your doctor(s) nor anyone else can ever guarantee you a positive/successful outcome, nor even a completely reaction-free result, from whatever modality is chosen! You can list "what-if's" [and "may be's"] from now until forever, but what can you possibly gain from those?
My study of the matter [over the past 20 years] convinces me that ascorbate is always positive health-wise [at least in the long-run], for all health maladies and situations [as Dr. Klenner reported]. I could never, under any circumstances, say the same for any drugs that I am aware of. I simply offered you my viewpoint [as I wrote] "as grist for your [health] mill."
In the case of gallstones, although I can not state categorically just how ascorbate would affect the healing, whether by facilitating the body in their dissolution and/or removal, etc., I am confident in stating that ascorbate ingestion would not make your health situation worse [and, almost assuredly, better].
I personally would "take" Bowel Tolerance dosing [or "C-flushing"] over traditional liver flushing "any day of the week." But that's just me [from my 20 year study and health experience with ascorbic acid].
You can be sure, Margo, that I will continue to advise people exactly as I have done with you, regardless of their health symptoms, because I believe that ascorbate is the best, and lowest risk, health modality they could ever choose.
How a person proceeds, just like in your case, is [of course] completely up to them.
I wish you the best of success, Margo, in resolving your health issue.
Sincerely,
David
Hi Margo,
Your post implies you believe there exists a completely risk free option. No such option ever exists! Neither your doctor(s) nor anyone else can ever guarantee you a positive/successful outcome [nor even an outcome that guarantees you to be reaction free].
My 20 years of ascorbate study [and experience] convinces me that ascorbate is the best [and least risky] modality that a person can ever try, for any-and-all negative health symptoms [as Dr. Klenner stated]. Although I can not state categorically just how ascorbate would assist the body in dissolving and/or eliminating the gallstones, I have no doubt, given enough ascorbate and enough time, it would do just that.
Personally, Margo, I would choose Bowel Tolerance dosing [or “C-flushing”] with ascorbic acid, as a heath modality, over liver flushing, “any day the week.” But that's just me.
I assumed, Margo, you were looking for an alternative approach to your health situation. Surely not a “guarantee!” And I provided such [as I wrote] “as grist for your [health] mill.” You can rest assured, Margo, I will continue to advise others exactly as I have advised you, because I am convinced ascorbate is the best and lowest risk modality they can choose for any-and-all health issues they may be facing.
You have my best wishes, Margo, for a successful resolution to your health issue!
Sincerely,
David
