Kefir or other cultured foods for a probiotic. Soft fibers such as rice bran, oat bran, gums (xanthan, guar, konjac, etc.) or FOS as prebiotics. Licorice root and yucca root to help benefit the flora, deal with pathogens, boost immunity and to reduce any inflammation.
