I wish there was a way that these things could be addressed sooner than having to wait for these long electoral intervals to have the will of the people heard. It seems more and more that real democracy is being influenced from many angles to hold in place bad policies that don't reflect the majority. Also too much res tape holding things up. Very inefficient compared to our tech and sophistication.

We live in an age that with computer technology we could have people take a much more responsible and active role in general policy making which could actually be a much more accurate reflection on the society at large. There is too much red tape and bureaucracy going on that impedes our society and holds up progressive changes that keep in step with social sensibilities. It causes undue friction and stunts growth and created unneeded resentments.
