Re: When Paul gave the law to the gentiles
"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law"
This is the curse, Gen. 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
When Adam and Eve sinned they put all mankind under the law, under the penalty of the law, which is death.
Only one who never broke any law all His life could take our place. Anyone who ever sinned can only die for their own sins and have nothing to offer for anyone else.
1Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
We can claim His death as our own, and the law no longer requires our death. It thinks we are dead because we are wearing Christ's righteousness.
Psalm 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered
