Re: When Paul gave the law to the gentiles

Okay, I realize I have not clearly spoken what I believe about all this. Maybe I am unable, for now. I need to study more, that's for sure, and learn to say my beliefs in a better way.
What I do know, is that I grew up in legalism, where everything was about the law, for our justification, and for our sanctification.
Living under that for so long, I saw for sure how that didn't work. When I finally understood about God's grace, and how He is the one that accomplishes it all, from the beginning to the end, that is when my love for God came alive, instead of just fearing him all the time. That is when I learned what freedom in Christ meant. That is when my need to try to be obedient just to earn something from God started to die away. And that is when I found a genuine desire to be obedient, because God's love for me was creating a desire in me to love him, and to love others.

I found this article. Again, I know you don't like this kind of thing, but I can't say it this clear, not without spending a huge amount of time and effort, and basically copying it.
