Re: Thank you all and keep posting!
"I wonder if an adopted child could love the adoptive parent as much as it would love a blood related parent?"
Definitely.
Blood means nothing. Just because you're blood related does NOT guarantee love. There are plenty of kids and adults who truly hate their parents. I'm in no way saying your biological kid would hate you so please don't take that comment the wrong way. There are kids who have step parents and love them just as much or more.
Your biological kid won't necessarily be just like you either. The other day I had to comment on another post on another forum (Not curezone) because some woman has adult sons and wants a little girl. She went on about dressing up and make up and fashion. I was a tomboy probably from the day I could walk. I wanted to play with remote control cars and build things with Legos and was not interested in dolls. I haven't worn a dress since I was made to for an event at the age of 7. Oh, and I'm definitely heterosexual in case anyone came to that conclusion.
I think if you have any uncertainty about it or resentment for not having your own though..an adopted child might pick up on that. So make sure it's ultimately what you want.
