For Uny-Next Round of Questions 9/27/10

I thought this was going to be simple but of course it did not end up that way. I thought it was best to leave the post as a whole and let you answer it all when you can. I also left in all the original information, I thought it might be less confusing. While you work on this, I will begin to order some of the other things I need to get so I can be prepared when I get all your stuff. I am sorry for once again asking so many questions. I do feel bad for taking up so much of your time. I had hoped to not have to ask so much of you again but it did not turn out that way. I have tried to research what I could and tried to keep it as simple as possible. Hopefully this will be the last round before I place my big order! This is certainly becoming the longest post ever! I am hoping that it will not take up too much of your time to answer. My questions/comments are in green.

I am also working on a daily plan and schedule of sorts. If you would not mind, I would like you to look it over and give me your input. The problem is that it is in Excel. Do I need to create a way to post it on the forum?

Thank you once again for your help and input with everything, I am very grateful Uny. You have been incredibily kind to me.

When I make suggestions & recommendations for someone, I always include everything I can possibly think of that will be beneficial and enhance/speed someone's healing. Sometimes this ends up being more than just a bit overwhelming, and I recognize that completely. But I think the worst thing I could possibly do is not include everything I know would be beneficial (and what you need to know or learn to confirm it), only to have you hit a snag somewhere and then tell you, "well, I knew that you need this/that, or should have been doing that/this, but I didn't want to overwhelm you with it at the beginning" :( It's my job to do my best to share everything I think that would be beneficial - it's your job to examine the info, decide what to do (or not do) with it, and how to prioritize it all. On this forum most of us have 'been there done that' ourselves, so we'll do our best to help in whatever way we can  Thank you, as you can tell I would always rather have too much information even if it is confusing. Helps me to know what else I might need or what might help. You have been incredible with all of the information and help you have provided.I do my best! I always think "too much" is better than "not enough" in just about everything.

Water: --how much water do you drink daily? (what kind of water? tap; filtered -what kind of filter?-; reverse osmosis (RO); distilled; spring/mineral; other) Your water should be distilled or reverse osmosis filtered (R/O, RO). The debates about various types of water are deep (and some are deeply ridiculous - with ample "evidence" on both sides of the debate). Some say that RO/distilled water is dangerous because of the lack of minerals and it's "emptiness". What we know for sure (2 things) - first, all three of the healers upon which we base our protocol (and many others) used ONLY distilled water (Dr. Schulze allowed RO water). They were dealing with people that were riddled with cancer & severely compromised (most in life-threatening condition). If distilled/RO water was as harmful as many say, these people couldn't have possibly been restored & healed. Secondly, there truly is NO clean, pure, naturally-energized source of water left on the planet - we must all do our best...and complete removing poisons (to me) is the baseline. If you feel uncomfortable drinking plain distilled or RO water, please feel free to 'remineralize & re-energize it' by adding a tablespoon or two of something like organic brown rice (or even a handful of fresh/clean grass). Please do not add "hard minerals" (like salt or other rocks), as humans are designed to get their minerals from plants - it's plants that uptake, assimilate and process rocks transforming them into a form that is both beneficial & harmless to the human body.I am confused by the water information. I assume I need to do more research, which I will. As you said there seems to be a lot of negative on distilled. Is distilled water what you buy in the jugs at the grocery store? Or is there a way to do it at home? I live in a small apartment with my Mom so I don’t have a lot of room. What would you suggest? In the meantime can I continue to use my Brita? You said “--One gallon of distilled or R/O filtered water daily.” I'm confused by the water thing, too! (who wouldn't be?)  The most important part is that it's free of poisons and hard minerals that our body can't utilize, yet can't expel.. Those who discount and villainize distilled water are either not aware of (or ignoring) the fact that it's been used effectively by a vast array of healers for decades...as part of a complete healing protocol (that's ultra high in minerals/nutrition). They also seem to miss the fact that once a glass of water enters the body, it's mixed with saliva, digestive enzymes and stomach acid (and whatever food may be in the stomach). At that point, it's certainly not anything similar to the distilled water that's used for testing in petri dishes. After you research further, if you feel uncomfortable with distilled water, then simply re-energize/remineralize it with something that's "alive".   In most areas, distilled & reverse osmosis filtered water is available in plastic jugs. You can get home distillers (the least expensive is around $100) and home R/O units (more expensive. The distillers give off a lot of heat (which is great in the winter, but not-so-great in the summer). Anne_33 just got one that's highly recommended (I can't remember the name of it); if you search her posts you should be able to find it quickly.

I have looked into your info as well as stuff on the forum and I am still researching. I would like to change my water but I am just not sure that is a change I can do right now. First, I do not know that I could afford to purchase a distiller on top of everything else right now. I am buying a lot from you, other companies and then in addition possibly new juicer. As I have said I am unemployed right now and only have a bit of money to spare. I do want to invest in my heath and that is why I am committed to spending all of this but there is only so much I can do. In addition, I live in a small apartment and I just do not know if there is room for a countertop distiller with everything else such as the juicer the blender etc. I looked at publix today to see what they had and the cost. They have Zephyrhills Distilled Water $1.19.gallon and Zephyrhills Spring Water $2.99 for 2.5 gallons. If I am to drink ½ gallon a day (60 oz) and that does not include extra water for juices etc. it is probably about 3 gallons/week, right? My question is how urgent is it that I change my water and not use the Brita? Just wondering if this is something I really need to find a way to do. Also is the Spring Water okay or does it need to be distilled?

When you say to “please feel free to 'remineralize & re-energize it' by adding a tablespoon or two of something like organic brown rice” do you mean just put some uncooked rice in the jug?

I sure hope you don't think I'm "criticizing…I do not think you are being “criticizing” at all, I appreciate all of your thoughts and help. Yay :)

Eating Plan: Okay, take a deep breath and get ready for what may be the biggest bomb of this whole post - the optimal diet for healing our bodies is raw (or low-cooked/steam) vegan...with as much juicing and juice-fasting as possible. And there really are seriously good reasons for this. I'll do my best to explain 'years worth' of learning as concisely as possible… Actually I am not shocked by this. When I did raw before I did a lot of research on it and know I have much more to learn! I have read all the links (I think) and I am confused about what exactly to do/drink in the beginning.

You said “It's easiest for most folks to get the bowel regulated to 3+ bms daily while still eating solid foods, and then wean onto juices (while still taking the IF#1 & IF#2). Any kind of fasting without adequate bowel activity is dangerous...however it seems Schulze did start some people on juice fasting at the same time.

Would you suggest that I begin a raw food diet now while waiting to get my bowel regulated? Absolutely!  I am not sure if I could go straight into 100% raw but I think I could start raw until dinner, would that be okay?   Yes, that's fine. Dr. Schulze had 3 main food programs, vegan, raw vegan and juice fasting. Dr. Christopher allowed some cooked foods (low cooked/steamed mostly), and Dr. Gerson had a soup, steamed veggies and even a baked potato (along with all the juices). Simply set a reasonable goal and work up to it in the way that's most comfortable for you!

During this time I am eating solid food and waiting to juice fast, would I drink juice daily even though I was not fasting? Just as a supplement or something to my eating plan? If so, how much juice a day and what type would you suggest? Adding juice is always beneficial for health & healing (you be savvy-smart already!). You can use it as a 'supplement', or you could use it to replace a meal (some like to do that to 'ease into' juice fasting). How much? As much as you'd like :) It's a great way to have some fun and try out lots of different combinations (try them on for taste, and for possible sugar/candida reaction). Also mess around with diluting them with water (or with water kefir...yum). The juices are ultra high in nutritional value and many are very 'strong' tasting...so we can dilute them (to adjust flavor, cut down on sugar content and to save money!). I typically use pint-sized canning jars and put about an inch and a half of water in each jar before I fill it with juice. I usually dilute the carrot & beet juice a bit more than that. Dr. Schulze commonly recommends apple/carrot/parsley. One of Gerson's main juices was apple, carrot and mixed dark green veggies. There's all KINDS of great information in this thread: [FAQ] The Food Program: Working File Thread      Have fun and enjoy the juice-feasting :)

When I get “regulated to 3+ bms daily” I would begin a juice fast, is this correct? Exactly. You can expect some changes in the 'bowel regulation' when you eliminate the solid foods (it's typical to need more IF#1). The "need" for IF#1 may differ substantially as you cleanse & restore. It also differs due to fiber content in our digestive tract & as individuals. For example, some people that have 1-2 bms per day add IF#2 and immediately have more bms; other people add the IF#2 and become more sluggish & clogged.

When I do the juice fast how long would you suggest? I see some do it for 30 days or more. I have to admit I think that would be tough but I would certainly try if you felt it was that important for me. If I'm remembering correctly, my first juice-fast was 12 days, then 17, then 30 (several times)...and short ones whenever I feel the need or desire. I suggest you do whatever you feel most comfortable doing; if you want/need to get over the "challenge" of switching from food to juices (and the empowerment that brings), be sure your first is 5-7 days (it takes at least 3-4 days for us to 'successfully fight down' the mental food cravings). If you can do 30 days from the 'get go' it will likely be the most empowering AND healing 30 days of your life...but it's not a 'failure' if you don't. Our ability to 'hear' our doctor within is enhanced amazingly when there's no 'food processing' (and associated mental cravings) to gum-up the channel.

You will see health benefits with any length of juice-fasting (assuming you do your best to ingest a full gallon of juice daily, and it's not an imbalanced selection). Be sure to do the IF#2 (with or without adding charcoal to each dose) for the entire length of the fast. This is not the same concept as 'water fasting' or The Master Cleanse - having the daily fiber and something to adsorb the large amount of toxins that will be released is important to the process (and the way you will feel). 'Don't know if you've noted it or not, but some people (as their bodies adjust to the difference in 'energy' and the way the body processes it), will be come chilly (or even uncomfortably cold) - this is typical, and no reason to abort a juice fast. Just pile on the sweaters & sweat pants and have more juice (and lots of warm/hot Potassium/mineral broth).

You said “, and it's not an imbalanced selection’ what does that mean? Is it using more fruit than vegetables?

Obviously with Candida issues, we don't ever want to go overboard on 'sugary produce' – I am still a confused about fruit. If I am eating raw and not fasting are you suggesting that I stay away from fruit, meaning not in juice form? I do love eating fruit so I am wondering if I can eat it or not? You have said you're experiencing the symptoms of Candida overgrowth and from the other issues it seems to me that would likely be the case.

To be honest I am not sure what “symptoms” I have but I do see issues that they state can come from Candida.

However, there are many other 'root causes' that have many of the same symptoms

Exactly! Over the years I have seen that my “issues” could be caused by so many root issues, the last being the Candida.

Depending upon the 'level' of the overgrowth, people typically "know" they have this issue because ingesting "sugar" causes various symptoms to exacerbate quickly (sometimes within a few minutes).

Can’t say I have necessarily seen this in myself but it is hard to tell when generally you do not feel well almost all of the time.

On this issue, I'm a bit of a "renegade" (in comparison to the "traditional" recommendations). Thinking out loud: Too much healthy, organic fruit (if there is such a thing as 'too much') is not the cause of Candida overgrowth, so how does "too little" healthy organic fruit cure it? I can't see any evidence it does. I see evidence & reports that too much sugar (particularly processed sugar) triggers symptoms and worsens the symptoms...but does too much natural sugar in the form of healthy organic fruit actually increase the problem? I do not know.

Exactly what I wonder, is there such a thing as too much healthy organic fruit? I do not know either. I think I am leaning toward “no” at least for now

If you have 'sugar reactions' from healthy organic fruit juices, then I suggest ingesting only limited amounts (and that they be diluted a bit more than the others that don't trigger symptoms). This is particularly imperative for any/all types of 'sugar sensitivity' issues: "Drink your solids and chew your juices":) Re: Chewing food 24 times?

I went to the store today and bought a bunch of fruit for both smoothies, and eating. I got grapes, apples, berries etc. I find when I am not eating fruit I will eat other stuff that is bad for me that my Mom has around because I am craving the sweetness or the crunch. I figure that fruit is much better than processed foods and sweets which I normally never eat but I think removing the fruit has lead me to it which is very bad!

“ one of the best juices is Gerson's "basic juice" which is heavy on greens with an apple and a carrot. Celery is great 'green' for juicing because it's so "juicy" and inexpensive - cucumbers too. “ On one of the links you previously sent me it said that people with candida should stay away from carrots? Thoughts on this? As above - plus a notation that all these healers used carrot juice (Christopher and Schulze...a LOT of carrot juice. Christopher's IP included a week of nothing but carrot juice, then a week of apple, then a week of grape). Initially his IP was based on Brandt's famous "Grape Cure" (which was nothing but grapes & grape juice). Due to the "overgrowth" of microbiota destroying/altering GM "foods, antibiotics, pesticides/herbicides (and other 'alternative' substances, like colloidal silver), it's likely safe to assume that these healers were not seeing the large amount of "candida issues" that we deal with now (which may indicate we should alter the juice types a bit or a lot). On the other hand, we're not dealing with "only" juices here; we're dealing with juices AND a very full & thorough protocol, that includes raw garlic, ACV, Echinacea, natural forms of probiotics and cleansing away the 'decaying organic matter' upon which they implant themselves and receive their nourishment. We could 'split hairs', make recommendations and debate the issue 'till the cows come home', but the fact is that each of our bodies may have the same diagnosis...with totally different responses. This is the reason you will hear "listen to your doctor within" SO frequently on this forum. I realize (oh so much) how we've been conditioned to not trust ourselves and our inner knowledge and intuition. And I also realize (just as much) how our congested organs, less than optimal diets, poisons/toxins (particularly fluoride), congested organs/bodies and lack of knowledge add up to it being almost impossible to know what a symptom or reaction actually indicates...just by "feel". But that WILL change very rapidly as you cleanse, nourish, continuing learning (and learn to listen and trust relying upon your own intuition and 'doctor within'). It used to be known as "the ART of healing" - doctors used to LISTEN to their patients to determine what was wrong (it used to be taught in medical school to doctors: ask the right questions and 'listen long enough' and you'll always be able to figure out what is wrong). In fact, many times all those various knee taps, stethoscope moves and various touches and pushes were all just 'an excuse' for the doctor asking questions and listening to our answers (it made us think they were doing something worthy of the bill they were about to present us with! lol). Now they're trained to do it in medical school to 'buy time' (seriously) until they can remember what drug to prescribe.

In regards to the Gerson’s juice I found some posts on the internet. Are these what you would recommend for juicing? I could also get some books from the library (also ones listed on the link you sent) on juicing if you think that would be helpful. I was just not sure if there was a plan with juicing I should follow especially when I am juice fasting.

Here is Dr. Gerson's Basic Vegetable Recipe: 10 Carrots and 2 Apples

Here's Basic Combination #2:10 carrots,2 apples,1/2 beet

Here's Basic Combination #3:10 carrots,2 apples,1/2 beet,1 handful parsley,1 handful spinach

From these BASICS you can add the following to your Carrot/Apple combination: Celery and their leaves,Cucumber,Green Cabbage,Red Cabbage (a bit stronger in taste),Beet Greens, Kale, Chard,Collard Greens,Cilantro,Rainbow Chard,Wheatgrass,Alfalfa Greens (very bitter but great for your liver),Dandelion Greens,Romaine Lettuce,Endive,Bok Choy,Brussell sprouts, Broccoli, String Beans   Those are all good :)

I read thru the juicer post and was thinking I would buy a new one. It seemed to say that the Omega Juicer was the best for the money. Do you agree this one is best? If I am going to do this I want to do it right and give it 100% as I am able to.  Since that info was compiled, Omega has created another juicer (a bit more expensive, but much easier to use). It's called the VRT (or Vert). You do not have to cut up the produce (at least not nearly as much), and it's "self feeding" so you don't have to do any "pushing". So it's much faster, too. BUT (and methinks this is a big "but") - it's recommended to use it for only 30 minutes at a time (and unless we're going to juice every time we need juice), this is not so great.   I typically juice 2-3 'days worth' in a 3-4 hour session. I feel juicers needs to be 'work horses', and from what I'm reading of folks's experiences here, I'm not comfortable with that aspect of it. However, several on the forum have used their VRT for several hours, and not reported any problems (except it feeling 'hot'). Also, the Omega 8003/05/06 is able to extrude pasta, breadsticks, grind various grains/coffee beans, make nut butters/fruit sauces and turn frozen fruits into yummy 'frozen fruit sorbet-like' treat (which does still contain the fiber, but is something that we allow ourselves on a long juice fast as a well-deserved reward.   The Vert/VRT makes juice. If I had plenty of moolah, I'd likely/maybe give the VRT a try (but that's because I already have my Omega 8005). Btw, the 8003/8005 are the same juicers (the 8003 is white, the 8005 is chrome) - 10 year warranty. The 8004/8006 are the same (8004 is white) - 15 year warranty (there's virtually no difference, except the 04/06 is supposed to have a 'harder' auger...which methinks was possibly-likely an 'excuse' to create a new model and raise the price). I recommend chrome (simply because it doesn't 'stain', and the white will stain extremely rapidly).    The Champion is less expensive (and does all the various things the Omega does except extrude pasta/breadsticks). It also has a 'grain mill' attachment (optional) which supposedly will grind grains into both coarse and fine powder/flour (???). Champion has been making juicers since the 1950's, and they've definitely got a great reputation (and they are definitely workhorse juicers). Downside? Most reviews say the Champion just can't handle wheatgrass and leafy greens as well as the Omegas...and some say after an hour or two of juicing, the juice starts coming out warmer (something I've never experienced with my Omega). The Champion can be had (Household model) for $187 and the Commerical for $215 here: http://www.wisementrading.com/juicers/champion.htm

Always check eBay! There are many sellers which offer extremely low prices and free shipping. If the juicer is new and in the original box (which many are), the warranty is just as good as buying the juicer from the manufacturer or from a 'juicer company'. 'Just be sure to check the seller's feedback :) Here's an eBay search for all the models of Omegas mentioned above: http://tinyurl.com/2g7azjm And here's a search for Champion juicers: http://tinyurl.com/2vj39uw  It's not uncommon to find older/used Champions selling on eBay for less than $75

Thank you for all the information on the juicers.

As you can probably tell I do best with exact plans..sorry! Basically I would like to know what your suggestion would be to do/drink each day, how much and for how long. Is there a link that shows a plan of what you should juice or a book that you would recommend? On the canning link it mentioned 1-20 cups of juice a day? I understand more about the raw thing since I did that for awhile.  :::grin & a wink::: there's a good chance you ain't-a-gonna like what I'm about to relate (at least initially :) I understand (well, at least semi-understand) about the "exact plan thing" (particularly as it relates to 'doctoring ourselves'). And of course, no one wants to 'waste time or product' making mistakes that can be avoided.

However, it is very important to know & remember that this is all about simple foods, juices and herbs (many of which are actually 'food' in other countries, and some in this one)...and how they all relate and interact within your body. For example, when I take two droppersful of Cayenne Tincture #1, I feel "xyz" effects. My cousin (who weighs LESS than me) takes six droppersful to feel the same "xyz" effects. So the correct dosage is? Six for her, two for me...of that batch of our Cayenne Tincture #1 (the variances throughout the marketplace are MAJOR)

Echinacea? I've seen recommended dosages ranging from individual drops to several ounces. Echinacea is the herb I've researched and utilized the most. No matter how much Echinacea tincture I've taken at any one given time, it's never rivaled the experience I've had with fresh root! I'm always 'taste testing' the herbs I use for tincturing (not only the final tincture) - so when I got my first parcel of fresh Echinacea purpurea root (and knowing that Native Americans utilized Echinacea by chewing on the roots), the first thing I did was cut off an inch sized piece of one of the thickest roots and start chewing it. Whow-Wowzah-INTENSE!!! My entire mouth was 'novacaine numb' for well over 1/2 hour; I'd chewed it for only a few minutes before I had to spit it out (or I would have thrown up). I was totally flabbergasted. One thing's for sure, I never worried about "overdosing" on Echinacea tincture again! (insert typical 'safety disclaimer' here...everything within reason, of course).

Without discounting the logical desire and need for "set plans & necessary details" (or even a compulsive-obsession, lol) - there is one factual aspect that we MUST understand & overcome (and there is AMPLE evidence of this. If/when you ever want to research it further here a great 'starting point The Medical Racket ). The fact is:

Since the early 1900's, as a society and as individuals (medical professionals included), we have been intentionally & systematically conditioned/brainwashed to know & believe that we are NOT capable of safely & effectively tending to the needs of our own body without a licensed MD or other practitioner...and that natural herbs & healing methodologies (that have been utilized safely for centuries) are inherently dangerous & unsafe.

As this relates to your upcoming natural healing process, the things to keep foremost in your mind are things like this:

-- if you add a tablespoon more/less herbs to a batch of herbal tea (or cook it 10 minutes more/less), the only thing that's going to happen is that the tea will be a bit stronger or weaker. No harm done at all.

-- if you miss a dose of IF#2 (or tincture, or tea, or juice) the only thing that's going to happen is the wee-tiniest of a wee-tiny lack of progress...maybe.

-- if you inadvertently double a dose of something, the most likely thing that will happen is that you'll get better quicker. If you take WAY too much of something, most likely the worst thing that will happen is that you'll throw up. Dr. Christopher would say..."Great! More room for the next dose!" (Unlike pharmaceuticals or supplements, it's almost impossible to 'take too much'...especially accidentally). When we ingest things in their natural forms, we actually interact with them via taste and creating the dosages ourselves. If we make a tea correctly a few times, and then make it "accidentally" with 10x too many herbs (which is highly unlikely), we'll 'spew' the first sip! It's almost impossible to 'count out' enough extra droppersful of a tincture to cause any type of damage....same with the powdered blends (sure, we might mistake a teaspoon for a tablespoon when we reach in the drawer in the morning, but we're not going to mistake a tablespoon for a 1/2 cup!). Even the "sugar" stuff (like honey, maple syrup and other natural sweeteners) basically prevent you from ingesting too much. Think of it - there's 10-12 full teaspoons of white sugar and/or corn syrup in a 12 oz soda pop. But if we put 12 teaspoons of honey/maple syrup or Sucanat in a glass of lemonade...?...there's no WAY we could stand to drink it.

--Everything we're doing (in the combination that we're doing them) has been safely & effectively done before by thousands (tens of thousands) of the patients of the healers that formulated the herbal combinations and protocols.

--This doesn't mean that we can be silly or irresponsible (I'm not suggesting you will be). Always read the labels and instructions; always research mixing herbs with pharmaceuticals; never do or take anything that scares you or makes you feel uncomfortable. And never 'force yourself' to do or take anything if you've had (or are having) a bad reaction.

--Always remember to "qualify through knowledge" what you think your doctor within is saying. For example, when we start working on the liver, sometimes we'll experience various levels of gas, bloating and intestinal 'urps & burps' (same with the IF#1/IF#2). Don't immediately conclude "my doctor within is telling me this is bad and unsafe" and then stop doing it. If you're having a 'reaction' that's uncomfortable or doesn't seem right, then set 'whatever' aside until you can ask on the forum (or research on the net) and find out if the reaction is 'to be expected' or something that's unusual.    Remember, it is NOT going to 'ruin your protocol' if you miss a dose or two.

The answer to your question? The goal when juice-fasting is one gallon of juice daily (that 8 pint jars full). There's only been a couple-three days I've ever been able to 'get in' more than seven pints.

Don't be worried, I'm going to answer all your questions "in full detail", I promise :)

If you do a juice fast while doing a bowel cleanse would I do green smoothies with my blender since my juicer separates the pulp? I'm not sure I understand the question exactly, so hopefully this is right (if not, just let me know). The basic point of juicing (macerating the produce and pressing out the juice & removing the fiber) is to:

1) give the body incredible amounts of nutrition (premium high-grade fuel) that's laden with enzymes and easy to assimilate. It's like a "nutritional IV", says Dr. Schulze.

2) to stop the body from having to expend vast amounts of energy on the process of digestion...freeing up the energy that would previously have been spent on digestion to use WITH the high grade fuel to heal itself.

3) whenever we fast, our body typically starts detoxifying itself (again, that's likely because it doesn't have to waste all that energy separating nutrients from pulp/fiber).

I did not understand before any of these reasons for juice fasting, this has been very helpful. I now see that I would be doing the juice fasting for healing not necessarily as a way of eating such as raw. I think I was looking at it wrong before. Exactly!

This is another reason why we utilize the IF#2. It's got activated charcoal and bentonite clay in it - these things adsorb toxins of all kinds. To adsorb is different than absorb - adsorbing is like a electro-magnetic "pulling to itself" (where absorbing is similar to a sponge). When we have bentonite clay or charcoal in our digestive tract, toxins/poisons from the bloodstream will actually be 'pulled to' the bentonite/charcoal in the digestive tract...and safely pooped/flushed away. Many folks choose to add extra activated charcoal to the IF#2 (particularly those with candida and/or parasites that are going to be experiencing "die off" issues). This also helps adsorb toxins in the digestive tract - and the charcoal helps lessen gas & bloating, too :)  Is this something I should do, add extra activated charcoal to the IF#2? If so, can you give me an idea of how much and if there is a certain kind I should buy?  It's totally up to you :::wink::: but yes, it is something I suggest. Because it can be a bit 'constipating' to some, it's a good idea to wait to start adding it until you've regulated the IF#1/IF#2 for a week or so. We have it in our Storefront if you want to get it from us (it's mainly there so folks can save on shipping). Here's where we get it: Activated Charcoal Powder (theirs is10 ounces for $8 (and you get a nice plastic jar); ours is 8 oz for $10 or a pound for $16 and it comes in a ziploc baggie)

One teaspoon of activated charcoal weighs approximate 2.5 grams. 5 teaspoons a day is 12.5 grams x 30.5 days = 381.5 grams. (One pound is 454 grams).

Remember, activated charcoal definitely lessens the blood level of most all pharmaceuticals. So you might have to take more of a pharmaceutical to get the same effect if you have a lot activated charcoal in your digestive tract (so you might want to consider waiting to add it until you've seen whether the herbs are going to knock-out or lessen your migraine pain). The small amount that's in the IF#2 isn't typically enough to do this. But if someone is weaning off a highly addictive drug, the charcoal/bentonite in the IF#2 can adsorb enough to be noticeable.

How much would I add to the IF#2?

Since smoothies typically have fiber of some sort or another (that the body has to digest/process and expend energy to utilize), smoothies are not as effective as true juicing. BUT breaking up the fiber in a blender and mixing it with fresh juices is much better than 'wolfing down solids' :) The fiber issue is what I have read before in debates in the raw community on juice versus green smoothies. You have confirmed some of what I read in regards to the fiber. A lot of raw foodists seem to say that green smoothies are better because of the fiber. For typical daily diet (when not using something like IF#2, or ingesting ample fiber otherwise), this might be an issue.   But if I understand you correctly you are saying that when one is using juice to heal you do not want the fiber due because you are expending energy to digest it. Perhaps you not saying that green smoothies are not healthy to drink but if you are juice fasting for healing that green smoothies would not be as effective as true juice”. Correct. Technically, we never actually "digest" many fibers; our digestive system just has to work very hard to break the various nutrients out & away from the fiber so they can be assimilated (and if we have a lack of stomach acid, digestive enzymes or bile/other and/or the villi that do the assimilating are coated in mucous and/or we have imbalanced gut flora and/or leaky gut, then we don't get 'full nutrients' from the fiber). The fiber (whether it still has nutrients in it or not) is the biggest percentage of our fecal matter. No fiber, no poopy (or very little). Oooh-ooh, when I typed "poopy" I remembered I hadn't posted this link (good info about diverticulitis, and images, too). How poopy is made :) +Edit/addition +reason to juice Re: Thin stools

You said “No fiber, no poopy (or very little)”. This is what I thought. So I am curious how you get ““poopy” (fiber) when you do a juice fast? Is it from the IF#2 pills?

And that reminds me to ask, where exactly in your colon was the perforation/issue that required surgery?

To be honest I am not exactly sure.  I know the surgeon discussed it with me but I was pretty out of it and later I did not think it really mattered. I was not into knowing the exact location too much at the time!  Here are some things I found on the surgical notes. I think these may help to explain where it was done and some other info that might be helpful. It states I had a “hartmann procedure for perforated sigmoid diverticulum.”, also “perforated sigmoid diverticulitis with contamination and excessive amount of stool in left colon.”, and “The biggest problem is that the entire colon was full of very thick hard stool”. In the surgeons notes on what he did/saw it states “we could see a thickened area of the sigmoid colon with the firm area there appeared to be perforation….the left colon itself was full if very hard stool…”This was one of the reason I had a colonoscopy bag, the surgeon had to get out of there quick so I did not go septic. I think I recall they took out 3 inches the first time and then a little more the second time when they put it all back together.

While I am waiting for my bowel movements to regulate and eating a regular (or raw) diet) would it be beneficial to drink green smoothies since I am not fasting or would I still drink juice (as I asked above?)  Smoothies are great...especially for adding in the Superfood :)

Side Effects from meds: Thank you for the info on side effects from my medicines. I have started to realize more than ever the effects these meds have on me but until now I could not find another thing to do. Glad to have this now instead to try/do!

Current- B12 Shots weekly why? For energy Soon (likely very soon), you won't 'need no steeenking injections' for energy...yay!  Superfood IS awesome!

***These below are hard to guess it all depends on my pain and migraine cycle for the month and how bad it is for how much I take I realize you're not taking these for the fun of it :( And I'm sorry that 'modern medicine' hasn't done anything for all these years of your pain (except to offer you 'toxic bandaids that only cause more symptoms). Seriously Jackie, I admire your tenacity and your willingness to start taking control of your health and your life! When I first saw this drug list, I was astounded that you're not much sicker & more disabled than you are. And it certainly proves that you are extremely strong-willed and 'in control' to have not become addicted to the Xanax, Clonazepam, Valium (which can cause life-destroying addictions in as little as 4 weeks of regular use) - and the Percoset & Dilaudid are also addictive. Woman, you ARE to be truly commended (and so is your liver)!!!

Thank you for your thoughts. I am sure these have and are having more of an effect on me than I realize especially since my surgeries. I am sure that is part of what has debilitated me further since I have been taking much more of the narcotics and such since June 2009. I look forward to a time hopefully when I can stop them all for good.

Prednisone Tablets (as needed for migraine perhaps 1 round a month at most). Also did a at home treatment of IV steroids in May of 1010, and in 2009. Be sure to check out the adverse-effects of this one...and do your best to stay away from steroids. Without ANY doubt, steroids are likely 100% responsible for your knee issues and osteopenia :

I know even more now how bad these are for me and again hope that I can totally stay off them especially if I can get my migraines under control. As I mentioned in a recent post I did just start taking them again. I could find no other way to stop the migraine cycle I had. Hopefully this can be the last time. Whether you get there  fast or slow, you will get there! If the colon cleansing and various herbs & cleanses don't do the trick, they'll certainly 'lessen the symptoms', and we'll take it from there.

Another question - I remember you mentioning 'massages', and I'd expect you've consulted a chiropractor regarding the migraines. Yes/no? If yes, what was recommended and what was done?

I have tried a chiropractor several times on and off thru the years. To be honest I never saw a great relief and always felt it would be something I would have to do the rest of my life. At times the adjustments even made the pain worse. The best thing I found was when I was able to do frequent massage. There was a time when my insurance paid for it and at first I was going weekly a sometimes 2x week. It was incredible. Greatly reduced my pain issues and my migraines. Sadly no w insurance does not pay for it and I cannot afford it

Supplements: 'Super glad to hear you're off the major-majority of the supplements. Would I take any supplements at all? I am sure that I am brainwashed about the need for supplements. I did see your links on it. I just wonder if I will be getting all that I need from juice fasting or eating raw. Such as B vitamins. Magnesium, etc, , Or am I getting all that I need in the superfoods/ACV bomb/kefir etc? I notice that on the superfoods link it said “SuperFood will give you 2 to 7 times the vitamins you need for the entire day. “ I'm pretty sure Dr. Schulze may have exaggerated a bit on the "2-7x" thing - but when you add in the juices and the various herbs, you'll definitely be "over" rather than "under". The Superfood definitely knocks out the need for B supplements (that's the nutritional yeast), and the combination of the Superfood & juices take care of the protein requirements too. Nutritional yeast is 50% protein by volume and Superfood Original is 50% nutritional yeast. So you're getting 1 1/2 tablespoons of pure, easily assimilated protein with 6T of Superfood (and you're not going to get that much protein assimilated from a hunk of meat).  This (old) link contains the closest thing to a 'nutritional breakdown' of Superfood that I've ever found: http://web.archive.org/web/20070831083351/http://soul-centered-healing.com/su...

I've never known anyone to need any extra "supplements" when juice-fasting along with 4-6 T daily of Superfood. But if you/anyone does, then pick the nutrient, go to google and find the richest vegetable/fruit source, and then juice plenty of it.

Are there other things like the calcium formula that I should be taking to naturally supplement? yeppers, you may be a bit on the brainwashed side :::grin:::, but it is very likely that you're only assimilating a small percentage of what you ingest - and with your bone situation, I totally understand why you'd be  concerned. Remember, 8oz of carrot juice is equivalent to 4-6 large carrots (and all the other produce is similar). So if you happen to have 32 oz of carrot juice daily, that's like eating 16-24 carrots a day (and you'll be assimilating virtually all of the nutrients!). Check out the nutrient profile:

Yup I certainly am brainwashed but looking forward to getting it all from natural sources. I just was not sure if there was anything I needed to add that was not gotten from the food. It seems from Superfood and other things I should be getting all that I need

Carrot juice is one of the richest sources of vitamin A that can be used in the daily diet. It also ranks high as a source of the other vitamins, especially those of the B complex. Its mineral content is equally rich, and includes calcium, copper, magnesium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, chlorine, sulfur, and iron. And that's just the carrot juice!

Slippery Elm contains calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc, iodine, sodium, selenium and some potassium. It also contains phosphorus and vitamins A, B, C, D, E, F, K, and P

It's really really hard to imagine a couple-three pints of "little ole juices" could provide the nutrition of a full meal...but once you start seriously juicing and see just how many "major salads" fits into ONE pint jar, you'll start to get the picture (and become MUCH more comfortable with the process)

Parasite Cleanse: Doing a parasite cleanse with your colon cleansing/healing is easy (and not very expensive) - so that's definitely on the 'to do' list below...but it may be something you want to wait to do until after the first 30 days of cleansing and healing restoration. So you feel it would be best to do a 30-Day colon cleanse and then do the parasite cleanse instead of doing them together? I does not matter to me, I would go on what you would think is best for me. I noticed with the ACV bomb the bomb you said “If you add UnyWorm AntiParasite liquid to this, it's a Uny Bomb”. So would you suggest I do the colon cleanse first for 1 month along with the ACV bomb (without the parasite addition) and then in month two (perhaps) do an additional colon cleanse and do the ACV bomb with the parasite cleanse? I suggest you do the colon cleanse WITH the parasite cleanse, here's why (from here Reply + "Unyworm Instructions" - Re: parasites unknown ):

Doing a parasite cleanse without doing a simultaneous DEEP colon cleanse...not like colonics, or oxypowders, or weeny lil', ineffective "5 days cleanses...is a major waste of time & money!  Everybody that hasn't done a thorough, deep colon cleanse (and regular maintenance cleanses) has a thick layer of putrid, rotting/degrading, rubbery build-up (commonly referred to as "mucoid plaque") throughout their colons.  And this is the MAIN feeding, breeding and hiding place of parasites.  If you take parasite herbs without disturbing and cleansing out this layer of junk, the parasites will just burrow into it to get away from the parasite herbs.  Oh yeah, you'll kill some, but you'll likely never get to the root of the problem without doing a deep cleanse at the same time.

For this cleansing/healing regime, I suggest IF#2 (and IF#1 if you're not already having 3-5 healthy/normal bms daily), and a liquid and dry/ground herbal blend we make/offer called Unyworm.

All these are available in our Storefront :)  Here's an overview of the ingredients, and how the IF#1 & IF#2 work:  http://curezone.com/schulze/handbook/intestinal.asp#1

Here are the instructions for utilizing Unyworm effectively:

You will be taking the IF#2 five times daily.  You will be wanting to take (maximum strength) 1 teaspoon of the ground/dry herbs 3x daily.  So in 3 of the 5 doses of IF#2 (the deep colon cleanser), you would add 1 teaspoon of the ground/dry herbs.  That's how you use the dry/ground herbs.

For the Unyworm liquid, in order it to be MOST effective, it needs to have your own Cayenne powder and fresh/raw garlic and raw/organic apple cider vinegar added (ACV = apple cider vinegar).  We call this the "Apple Cider Vinegar Bomb".   You'll be doing this 3x daily.  To make the "ACV Bomb":1 tablespoon of raw organic ACV; 1 tablespoon of organic blackstrap molasses (or raw local honey); one dose of cayenne top-grade therapeutic cayenne powder (the goal is one teaspoon, but you'll start at 1/8 teaspoon per dose and work up from there); 1-2 cloves of raw garlic (minced), and one teaspoon of Unyworm liquid.  Do this three times daily (on an empty stomach before meals is most effective).  By the way, Dr. Christopher's standard/healthy daily diet includes all of the above without the parasite herbs - so this is something we ALL should be doing daily anyway (ACV, cayenne, garlic, blackstrap/honey.

Yes, there ARE easier "parasite programs", but it's HIGHLY doubtable that any could ever be as effective as this!

The UnyWorm dry herbs (to mix into 3 of the 5 doses of IF#2) are very effective, and when you combine that with the ACV, raw garlic & cayenne, you've actually got a great 'parasite regime' even without the UnyWorm liquid (especially since you'll be using plenty of Cayenne powder). Since you don't have a 'known' parasite issue, I suggest getting 30 days worth of the UnyWorm dry/ground herbs, and if you end up seeing something other than liver flukes (which the garlic will kill all by itself), then you can go ahead and order/add the UnyWorm liquid. There's really no need to spend the extra money on the liquid when the dry herbs and cayenne/garlic are more than effective enough to 'show them up'.

Since I add this in 3 of the 5 doses of IF#2 would it be best to do the morning, lunch and dinner doses?

On one of your links I read that you said “…and if you do a parasite cleanse without doing a daily coffee enema (to get the rotting worms out of your liver), you can expect to experience all manner of liver cramping, aching, pain, digestive disturbance, gas, bloating.”. If I am doing a parasite cleanse for 30 days does this mean I need to do a daily coffee enema for 30 days?

Kefir: We currently have a supply of water kefir grains so you can make your own water kefir (just be sure to ask in the 'Note section' when you place your order and we'll be sure to send you some free) Thank you for the free grains, I will ask for them and will definitely start this. I have heard a lot about kefir but previously had not done much research.  Since your post I have been doing a little web research and trying to watch some videos to learn about Water Kefir and also dairy kefir. It seems the water kefir is super easy. The dairy one seems a little more complicated in regards to keeping the kefir up. I will still look into that as well. Am I guessing there are different benefits to each and therefore reasons to do them both. I will be looking into this as well.  You're doing GREAT research! I understand why you'd think the water kefir is easier, but (to me anyway) the dairy kefir is far & away the easiest. I take 1-2 tablespoons of dairy kefir grains and put them in a quart jar, add milk, and 24 hours later - poof, milk kefir. Just strain out the grains and put it in the fridge and you're ready to make more. If you put too many grains in the milk, it'll turn 'yogurt-ish' in consistency in 24 hours or less. I actually prefer it that way myself. I add a bit of honey, cinnamon/nutmegs/cloves (and maybe some dried apple pieces) and put it into 8oz jars and it's "total nums"! I think it's "better thicker" for smoothies, too (and you can always add some to your juices to make thicker, more satisfying "juice"). The milk kefir grains will 'eat you out of house & home' if you're not careful (a tablespoon of grains is enough to 'kefirize' 2-4 cups of milk...which is more than you'll likely ever want/need in one day). But all you have to do is put the grains in some fresh milk and put them in the refrigerator, and they be very healthy and alive when you need them again in a few days (assuming you've got 'clean' organic milk - if you can get raw milk? that's even better). On the dairy kefir, start with about 1/2 cup a day (any more than that might cause a bit of diarrhea), and take it from there.

On the link in making the water kefir they recommended ¼ cup organic sugar per quart of water:Evaporated cane crystals or rapadura work best-(e.g. Rapadura, Succanat, etc). Would you agree with this? I am not familiar with Rapadura, Succanat, what would you recommend? Is this something I would be able to get at whole foods or somewhere else cheaper?  Water Kefir grains are AMAZINGLY resilient! And there's tons of different "suggested recipes". What you have there (1/4 cup of natural sugar to a quart of water) is a good set-up for around 1/2 cup of grains. I'd add a couple-three raisins (or a date), a pinch of baking soda, a scant teaspoon of molasses and 1/4 of a lemon. These guys love the extra minerals...but people make it all the time with nothing but white sugar (argh) and mineral water. We'll be sending dehydrated grains that will rehydrate into around 2 cups of grains - so only rehydrate 1/2 of them if you'll be making a quart at a time (once you've made your first batch and your grains are full out of 'dehydration', the grains in your 'quart' will usually double in size in 2 days).

Turbinado, Rapadura, Demerara (etc) are all names for "evaporated cane juice" - it's basically made by crushing the freshly-cut sugar cane to squeeze out the juice, rich in, vitamins and minerals. The cane juice is evaporated and spun in a centrifuge, or turbine, to produce the large sparkling golden crystals. Sucanat is an acronym for sugar cane natural...but that's really not technically correct, because sucanat has added molasses (it's much darker visually and in taste). These sugars are much less "sweet" than white sugar, and because they contain all the natural vitamins, minerals and cofactors, they're healthier and more satisfying. Of course, always get organic.   I use the sucanat when I don't mind a molasses 'overtone' (because I like getting the extra minerals in the molasses).

Would it be possible to wait until I get all the supplies I need for making Kefir for you to mail the grains? I just did not know it is okay to leave them unprepared for too long? I need to get the sugars, bottles etc

The best place to get all these various 'staples' (that I've found) is a company called Azure Standard. http://www.azurestandard.com If you live west of the Mississippi river there's a possibility they deliver to your area (town or city). Their trucks deliver once monthly...but the "minimum order" for truck delivery is around $400. If you don't live in a delivery area (or like me, can't afford the minimum), they ship UPS. (My cousin and I go together for a 'delivery order' every 2-3 months - the prices on 'organic staples' like ACV, BSM, sugar, oils, dried beans/fruits, grains, etc).

Even though A/S is not a "wholesale only" company, they have VERY inexpensive pricing (and sell to many co-ops & retail stores). Once you create an account, you can see the prices on the website and place orders (all you need to create an account is your name, address and email). What you'll find is that almost always, even with the additional UPS shipping charges, the prices are substantially less than anything at Whole Foods. AND, they have organic produce!!! By each item of produce it says "not shippable by UPS", but this is NOT the case. If you want to order produce and have it shipped, all you need to do when you place your order is add a "note" when checking out that says "I want this produce shipped to me, and I take full responsibility for the condition of the produce when it arrives". You might think that shipping boxes of produce would be too expensive, but when you see the pricing you'll likely be happily surprised. UPS shipping is 'cheaper per pound' the more pounds you have shipped, so once you get into the 30-40 pound range, shipping is about $1 per pound.

Right now, A/S has:

20 pounds of organic Gala apples for $21.00. If you add another $20 for shipping, that's 20 pounds of apples for $41.00 (only $2 buck a pound!)

Organic #2 carrots (who needs "pretty ones" for juicing?) - 25 pounds for $18

Organic mango - 9 for $15

Organic #2 oranges - 38 pounds for $20

They've got (all organic) beets, cukes, ginger root, garlic, pears, celery, papaya...an incredible selection. I've had produce shipped to me (they're in Oregon, I'm in Iowa) many times, and it's always arrived 'beautifully' (oh yeah, there may be a couple-three 'duds' in 20 pounds, but that happens when I meet the delivery truck, too).. Of course, I never have any produce shipped in the 'heat of the summer' or the 'freeze of the winter', and I place/time my orders so that nothing will end up sitting in a hot/cold UPS truck over a weekend. And I would never have anything "delicate" like leafy greens shipped via UPS (for me, it takes 4 working days to get to me from when they ship it).

Azure thought I might try Neshaminy Valley since they are closer and might not take as long to ship. Have you had any experience with them? I was not able to reach them by phone. I am also trying to see if I have any local options.

The prices seem great at Azure but I have to see what I have room to keep and what is good to ship.  They told me it would be best to order on a Friday, it would ship on Monday and get to me via UPS around Friday. As I have explained I live with my Mom and I do not have a lot of kitchen/fridge room so I am limited to what I can order in bulk. I am trying to figure out what sort of things I might order as far as produce/veggies that do not have to be refrigerated. Also trying to figure out an idea of how much of everything I might need. I know when I get to the juice fasting it would be very beneficial to have it in bulk. I do not know how long it will take me until I start the juice fast but it might happen pretty quickly so I am trying to get everything on hand that I could and it the least expensive possible.

You said you don’t have “any produce shipped in the 'heat of the summer' or the 'freeze of the winter'”. I am in Florida where it is in the high 80’s to low 90’s in Oregon where they are it is in the 70’s and 80’s. So is shipping produce okay now?

As far as food, below is a list of a few things I was possibly interested in ordering if it was worthwhile. Would you mind giving me some thoughts from your experience? Would they last outside the fridge? Any idea of the quantity I might go thru? I know it depends on what I juice/eat but any thoughts would be helpful. II called Azure and they gave me some info on these. I might end up being better off just ordering staples from them and not produce/veggies

For example:

Apples-They thought they should last about 2/3 weeks outside fridge? I have no idea how many apples are in a pound but I want to make sure they would not go bad before I went through them.

20 pounds of organic Gala apples for $21.00.

Apples in season, organic, 3lbs for $3.20 (I think it is gala)

Fresh Garlic, Organic-1lb $5.50

Have you ordered this? Any rough idea how many heads to a lb?

I need 1-3 minced cloves 3x/day for ACV. 3 cloves 3 x’s a day would be 63 cloves/week. No idea how many cloves to a head of organic garlic, do you? I also get varying responses on Google for how long garlic will last.

Organic #2 carrots (who needs "pretty ones" for juicing?) - 25 pounds for $18.

They said these had to be stored in the fridge so I might run into a problem here. Not sure I can keep 25lbs in my fridge

Potatoes, Yukon Gold, Organic-5lb $5.40

I thought I could use these for the Potassium Broth?

They also say to use “Non-chlorinated water (avoid distilled water or water filtered through a carbon activated filter such as Britta or Pur) (for water kefir)”. Is this what you recommended as well? What is Non-chlorinated water? All tap water contains chlorine and some contains chloramine; most all contains fluoride. Nothing removes it all but a distiller or a reverse osmosis system. Chorine, chloramine and fluoride ALL kill microorganisms and poison us. The only water we can use for water kefiring is distilled, reverse osmosis filtered or true spring water (many bottled 'spring waters' are not really water from springs at all...and some that are are taken from toxic springs and then treated with chemicals. Some sites say you "must" use mineralized spring water, but this is NOT true. With the organic "whole sugar", molasses, pinch of baking soda and a piece of lemon and a few raisins or dates, you'll have PLENTY of minerals. You can tell I am pretty uninformed when it comes to water or perhaps misinformed would be a better way to put it since I thought Brita/Pur were good.  You're not even close to being the first person on this forum to think that Brita was good, so don't worry about it. Teaching and learning is what this forum is all about!

Are there other links or info I should read on water kefir? The most complete site for kefiring is here:  Doms About Kefir In-site This site is SO huge/complete that it's easy to 'get lost in it', but you won't likely find any site with more information. (Dom is one that says we need to use spring-water for water kefir...and he also says to add egg shells or coral calcium - but it's not necessary at all). However, if you want more bio-available calcium, adding a couple of crushed boiled egg shells will work (but then you'd have to pick all the shell pieces out of the kefir grains...argh!) Don't get hung-up on all the "persnickety details" of ANY of this. Almost always, the best way to learn to do these things is to DO them. Plan on the first time not being "persnickety perfect" - kefiring, fermenting (even cooking) is MUCH more of an art than it is a 'science'. Getting in there and figuring out what works & why is always much more effective than trying to follow a set of instructions for everything. Let your inner child/artist come out and play/experiment!!! The worst thing that can happen is that you'll waste a bit of sugar and a few raisins and a piece of a lemon. The grains'll survive anything except 'death by chemicals'!

“…and you'll likely want to get some milk kefir grains so you can start making your own dairy kefir (very inexpensive and extremely effective).I will look into trying this as well. I did not see instructions on how to make the milk kefir. Do you have links or information on this? Just wondering what I would need to buy etc. Is there a recommended amount of how much of each type of kefir should I consume each day and when in the day? I may just start with the water kefir since it seems the easiest.  I was VERY impressed with the dairy kefir grains from "kefir lady"Real Kefir Grains · Quality Probiotic Cultures ! There's a great overview on the site, and they come with "persnickety detailed" printed instructions (you'll love it! :::wink:::) The dairy kefir has about 50 different strains of microorganisms, the water kefir has around 20. If you're going to 'do dairy' then start with about 1/2 cup a day. You can likely have a cup or two of the water kefir without any type of digestive disturbance, but there's no reason you can't take it slow & easy.

You can save a few of those expensive capsules and mix some in with the kefirs (if you want to experiment :).You mentioned I might add in the probitics to the kefir. Is that a good thing to do or is the kefir enough? I have a nature’s way optima one that I bought but have not opened (it is a refrigerated version). I also have another type from my doctor’s office that is PureBiotic but it not a refrigerated kind. I think the Nature’s Way might be a superior one.  I wouldn't use the one that's not refrigerated; your intestinal & lymphatic systems doesn't need to dealing with millions of dead critters. Like I said, IF you want to experiment. I'd wait on the experimenting until you've got the kefiring 'downpat'.   Then if you want to experiment, start by adding one 'capsules worth' into a batch of either kefir at the beginning of the batch...and sit back and see what happens (and if you feel comfortable ingesting the final result). When you get there (ready to experiment), I'd post that you'd like to try it and then PM "grzbear" with a link to your post and see what he suggests doing/trying. He is far & away the "probiotic king of Curezone"!

Just be sure to utilize only organic, non-homogenized milk (raw if at all possible). I believe they sell raw milk at whole foods and other local places around. That'd be terrific. In Iowa, raw milk is "seriously illegal" (grrrrr). You can find sources in your state for raw milk here (if it's legal): http://www.realmilk.com/where2.html

Goat milk is far better for humans than cow milk...but after a couple of days, goat milk develops (to me) a very "gamey flavor" that I cannot tolerate. So if you can find raw goat milk, buy a small amount and give it try first before spending the money on a full gallon. Maybe you already know whether you like it or not; many people don't have a problem with it at all (it tastes exactly like cow milk to me for the first 2-3 days).

I think the raw milk is illegal here as well or at least for humans it is. But I think some friends of mine get it from someone local. I currently do not eat any dairy. I do not know that I am lactose intolerant but if I eat too much I do notice some congestion and such. Do milk kefir count as dairy? Or since it is so Probiotic is it okay?

Replenish intestinal microorganisms via natural sources - raw/unpasteurized fermented foods (sauerkraut is ultra easy to make, and right now cabbage is cheap, too) - you can juice all fermented produce. Water kefir, dairy kefir, and some say Kombucha.I mentioned to you previously that I really enjoyed the store bought Kombucha so perhaps I can look into this as well. Kombucha has many health benefits, but it's not known to be a solid source of intestinal microbiota (although that is something that's commonly attributed to it). It's VERY easy to make your own Kombucha (kefir lady sells the SCOBY's that you use to make it), or in about 12-15 days I'll likely have a new baby SCOBY I could give/send to you. The one thing you want to be careful of with Kombucha is the caffeine content (from the tea). It's possible to make Kombucha totally without tea, but I've always used it. I was thinking in my next batch I'm going to use a very weak tea solution and maybe add some bee pollen (full of all kinds of good things, plus lots of B5 which is great for the adrenals). If you're buying it commercially prepared, be sure it's been made with pure water. I am a little leery of sauerkraut, never been a big fan …lol. But as with everything else I would certainly be willing to try if it is to benefit my health.  You don't "have" to have sauerkraut! It's just something I suggested that's a good option. If you do decide to have it, it must be raw and unpasteurized to have any intestinal microbiota. All "cabbage" is good for the intestinal tract, but raw/fermented is best...so be sure to add some cabbage juice into the mix when you're juice fasting.

I'm much more interested in true healing, than just addressing one or two isolated 'issues'.I am as well and very grateful for your help with this. You're more than welcome! Btw, I forgot to mention that Kombucha is a good source of B12 (not that you need it with the nutritional yeast, but I just wanted to point it out :)

I stopped/reversed premature menopause & extreme hormonal issues (which included a 6-10 pound monthly weight gain, excessively/dangerously heavy bleeding/clotting (that required 2 super-plus tampons concurrently, every 2 hours for 2-3 days), extreme pain & cramping (I took 4, 250mg ibuprofen every two hours around the clock for 2-3 days) and brutal pms & emotional swings for 2 weeks monthly; my period is now totally normal; I am free of pain & cramping; I have virtually no emotional swings (maybe for a few hours); I have only less than a pound of fluid gain; and the bleeding is normal & healthy. I cured PCOS (although I may have a bit of insulin resistance left...) What did I do to reverse all that mess? 'Got off the toxic foods and did my first thorough colon cleanse. Yep, really. That is incredible! It would be great if that happened to me as well! I do suffer from many PMS symptoms. I'm pretty sure I'm telling the truth when I say that every woman on this forum (that still has a uterus) that's had any kind of female problems or issues initially  has reported some level of relief after their first colon cleanse. Many were (like me), totally amazed. I'm SURE you'll see some level of significant benefits!

I realize (of course) there may be other 'migraine triggers', but knowing that all the scans revealed nothing-nada-zero-zip, and "they" haven't been able to isolate the cause, I'm sure the colon cleansing/healing is the first step (and since it's also imperative for all the various digestive tract/colon issues & candida), you're bound to realize a LOT of positive benefits (you may start seeing/feeling them after only a week or two).I look forward to seeing the difference it will make. It would certainly be fantastic if I started to see benefits! I am sure that some of the “triggers” would be alleviated when I change my diet if any of them are food related. I am sure it won’t hurt! I agree completely! I know of two different people with "life long migraine issues" that have been able to "stop them from coming on" with cayenne. One did absolutely no cleansing, and the other did only minimal (and neither was really interested in addressing or finding the 'root cause')...so they still "get the starts of them". But both insist a few droppersful of Cayenne will 'head them off at the pass. It's very likely the Cayenne (and/or Brain Formula) with or without a bit of Lobelia is going to have some level of positive effect.

Pain: We've already talked about 'cayenne for pain', and it's likely to give you a lot of relief.

Cayenne tincture and powder - For the powder, you'll want to start with 1/8 teaspoon as a dose and work up to at least 1/2 teaspoon per dose (you can add it to the ACV Bomb below). But with the migraine issue, you'll likely need much more (especially for the first few weeks). So I recommend at least 2 droppersful of Cayenne Tincture #1 3-5x daily (separate from the ACV Bombs). As you increase your dosage of powder, you can decrease the tincture. This helps a lot to understand the plan. When you say “work up to” what does that mean? Will I be experiencing some side effects or such that make me need to work up in dose? I have read in some posts about exit burning but have not noticed anything else. Just wondering what to expect and how I would know when to increase the dose. Great question! You start at 1/8 teaspoon of the powder and you'll be working up to a minimum of 1/2 teaspoon 3x daily (a full teaspoon is much better). The reason we start at 1/8 teaspoon and work up to a teaspoon is 1) because of the exit burn (jokingly referred to as "ring sting", lol) and the other (more significant) is that although cayenne doesn't actually "burn", it gives the sensation of burning and it causes peristalsis in the digestive tract. If you took a full teaspoon of ultra hot cayenne powder, when it hit your stomach the burning & cramping would likely drop you to your knees (this is why we should NEVER take the really hot cayenne powder in capsules...when those capsules "melt open" in just one spot in the stomach/intestines, the burning/cramping can be extreme. Of course, there are some folks that work up from 1/8 to a full teaspoon in a few days (I don't know how, but they do it easily). One time I explained all this to a man and he decided he'd be wanting a LOT of cayenne, so he bought several bottles of the tincture (so he could take ultra high dosages daily while he was acclimating to the powder), and less than a week later he emailed me and asked "why did I need all this tincture again? I'm already up to a heaping teaspoon 5x daily - no sweat, no problem at all!". That's very unusual, but it can happen.   Don't forget that 'peristalsis action' - increasing the cayenne powder can definitely 'jump start' the colon/bowel movement (causing less of a need for the IF#1)

So as I can handle the “burn” or it lessons then I increase, correct?

From your directions it seems I would need approximately 10 dropperfuls/day plus more when I have a migraine. From your previous notes at this dosage, the 4oz size would last me about 2 weeks on daily amounts and that does not include what I would use when I have a migraine. You did mention that as I increase the powder I would decrease the tincture. Do you think I would be doing this in two weeks? I realize it is something I will probably always want to have on hand but previously you mentioned “Once you're acclimated to the #1, you can try out the #2 & #3 for effectiveness (perhaps you could use less of the hotter ones, but I wouldn't suggest starting with them).” All this to say what your thoughts on the size I should purchase? I am happy to get whatever size you think best I just did not want to get 8oz if the 4oz was more of what I would need or if I would be changing to the #2 or #3.  Firstly, most people can (if they "push themselve"s)  'up the dose' on Cayenne powder around 1/8 teaspoon every 2 days. Start with a level 1/8 on Monday, and sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, push it to a heaping 1/8. Then in a couple of days to a level 1/4, then to a heaping 1/4 in another day and a half or two. You may find you can increase fairly quickly and then just can't handle any increase for a few days...or vice versa. Our bodies all acclimate at different rates.

Secondly, I never like to see people spend more money than they need to...but in the case of Cayenne tincture, most people want to have what they need for healing and symptom control and keep some 'for emergencies' (in their purse, pocket, car, garage/shop, workplace etc).

The chart shows you how many "droppersful" in each size bottle. You need 6 droppersful daily, for let's say 12-15 days, until you acclimate to higher doses of the powder...that's 72-90 droppersful. At the top end (with a 4oz bottle and the dropper that it comes with), that would leave around 5 "10 droppersfull doses" available for migraine treatment.  Even without any 'stashed away' for emergencies, I'd think you'd want to have more than 5 "migraine doses" at the ready. Besides, it's MUCH easier to dose with the tincture than the powder if you're away from the house and you find you need it "now". Since a 4oz bottle and a 2 oz bottle is only a few dollars less than an 8oz bottle, my 'best judgment' is for you to get the 8oz bottle...and that way you'll be sure to have some extra (or to have some stashed around for emergencies).

When I take the cayenne tincture my guess is that it will burn my mouth at least until I get used to it, especially when I am taking high doses for my migraines. Do you put this straight on your tongue or mix it with something? Can I chase it with something that will lessen the burn?

I take this 3-5x daily. Does it matter when it is taken? For example on empty stomach?

You said “As you increase your dosage of powder, you can decrease the tincture.” How would you suggest I do this? You have me starting on 2 droppersful of Cayenne Tincture #1 3-5x daily and around 1/8 teaspoon every 2 days with the powder. Would I drop a tincture dose or lower the amount? Would I do that each time I increase the powder so eventually I am totally off the daily tincture and only using it when I have a migraine?

Of course, I'm not your checkbook...and we do ship VERY fast (the same day or day after we receive your order). So if you want/need to order the 4oz bottle (and then order more if you find you're sure you're going to need it), then that's what you want/need.

2oz  =  84 drpfl   ÷ 30.5 days =  2.8 drpfl   ÷ 14 days =  6 drpfl   ÷ 10 days =  8 drpfl

4oz (using 2oz dropper) = 168 drpfl   ÷ 30.5 days =  5.5 drpfl   ÷ 14 days = 12 drpfl  ÷ 10 days = 16 drpfl

4oz (using 4oz dropper)  = 148 drpfl   ÷ 30.5 days =  4.85 drpfl  ÷ 14 days =  10.5 drpfl  ÷ 10 days =  14.8 drpfl

8oz  (using 2oz dropper) = 336 drpfl     ÷ 30.5 days = 11.0 drpfl   ÷ 14 days = 24 drpfl   ÷ 10 days = 33 drpfl

8oz (using 4 oz dropper) =  296 drpfl      ÷ 30.5 days =  9.7 drpfl  ÷ 14 days =  21 drpfl    ÷ 10 days =  30 drpfl

(none of the droppers measure 2oz or 4oz... the contents of a dropper from 'one full squeeze' via the 2oz bottle or the dropper from the 4oz bottle is what it indicated)

In your post previously it mentions 4oz and 8oz bottles with 2oz dropper and 4oz droppers, which would I use? In your storefront I do not see a difference in size of the droppers so I am a little confused.   Each bottle (2 or 4oz) has a different dropper size (the dropper in the 2oz bottle is a bit smaller than the dropper in the 4oz bottle). The 8oz bottle doesn't come with a dropper. So when someone hasn't ever ordered from us before (if we know/remember), we generally include an empty 4oz bottle with an 8oz bottle of tincture

I apologize I am still a little confused on the bottles and the droppers. You said “Each bottle (2 or 4oz) has a different dropper size (the dropper in the 2oz bottle is a bit smaller than the dropper in the 4oz bottle)." I understand what you have written there but on the chart above it shows a 4oz bottle dosage as “4oz (using a 4oz dropper) and 4oz (using a 2oz dropper)”. Does the 4oz bottle come with two droppers, the dropper from the 2oz bottle and the dropper from the 4oz bottle?

In regards to the amount of tincture in droppers you said “Each bottle (2 or 4oz) has a different dropper size (the dropper in the 2oz bottle is a bit smaller than the dropper in the 4oz bottle)." and "none of the droppers measure 2oz or 4oz... the contents of a dropper from 'one full squeeze' via the 2oz bottle or the dropper from the 4oz bottle is what it indicated)’. So are the amounts in the actual dropper basically the same between a 2oz and 4oz? I ask because often the instructions are to take ____ drpfl  and I did not know if it mattered if it was a 2oz or 4oz. For example with the cayenne tincture I am to take 6 drpfl daily and 5 to 10 drpfls with a migraine. And yes…I know….I am probably being too exact!

You said “we generally include an empty 4oz bottle with an 8oz bottle of tincture”. Would I be able to get a few empty bottles so I could carry the cayenne and the brain formula with me as well as keep at home? I am wondering if I could to get an extra bottle for all the tinctures that I take so I can have a “to go” version for when I am out. The Echinacea and Cayenne I am getting in 8oz size, still working on the list of others.

For migraines - when you feel one coming on, immediately take 5 droppersful of Cayenne tincture, wait 3-5 minutes. If it's gone...yay. If it's receding, then take a couple of droppersful more. If there's no difference, then take another 5 droppersful. You can also take the Brain Formula (similar dosages).Sounds like a great plan, thank you. Would I also use additional Cayenne in the form of the Tinture for muscle pain and other body pain? Meaning in addition to the powder I take each day in the ACV bomb if I have pain issues (besides migraines) I would take additional Cayenne Tincture? Basically using this to replace the valium and other muscle pain meds I take? Would it be the same amount as for migraine? Cayenne is most apt to "kill a migraine" and/or lessen it's effects, because it immediately 'regulates circulation' throughout the body. We know that migraines are commonly caused by some type of 'constriction' (be it arterial/venous or nerve or both). Since it's main effect is to regulate the flow of blood (basically unconstricting if there's a constriction, tightening when there's too much flow), it's actually an 'obvious choice' for migraines. But for muscles (depending upon the cause of the pain), we don't know if the regulating circulation will 'be enough' or have much/any effect. It typically lessens the sensation of all kinds of pain (because it lowers Substance P, and high levels of Substance increase the sensation of pain). And it increases endorphins (natural pain relief) due to the burning sensation.

When you reply, explain to me where the muscle pain is, what kind of pain it is (dull, sharp, throbbing, aching, etc), how long it lasts (constant, fluctuating on/off, rolling - sometimes worse, sometimes better but always there)... and what triggers it, or the changes...and when did it start? Anything/everything :)

I am not sure what triggers the pain. I think it can be different at times. For example if I am on the computer sitting in my chair for too long I can get pain in my left shoulder/neck area. It is a throbbing/aching pain. It is constant and will last until I take something or stop. Usually by the next day it will go away on its own but I can still be sensitive in that area. I also sometimes wake up with pain in my neck. Like the other day I woke up and could hardly turn my head. I bought a temperpedic bed awhile back so I could adjust my head when sleeping and for pain. It did help but I still often get pain. Mainly the pain is in my shoulders and neck. It is usually a throbbing and achy pain, or it can just be tight muscles. That is why often the muscle relaxers will help. At times it can always be there. Like right now I have had it for about 4 days.  I think that is why the massages helped so much when I was able to get them frequently. I think my muscles are always tight and bunched no matter what I do. The massages seem to release that tension. I think I mentioned before but besides the migraines I get tension headaches. In addition I have been diagnosed with occipital neuralgia. Basically my occipital bone/area is very tender almost always. It is even worse when I get migraines. This is why I used to go for nerve blocks. They were helpful in that pain and would, at times, lessen the migraine attacks.

Yes, you'd want to use it as a tincture (especially initially) because you don't want to stress your alimentary canal by taking more powder than you've 'worked up to' and can comfortably tolerate. As much as I'd like to, there's really no way I can predict what dosage might be effective (and for how long the effect might last)

Coffee Enemas: There are two other things that are extremely effective. One is coffee enemas (crazy, I know)…

Coffee Enemas and pain - I don't think anyone actually knows how they work, only that they do (and can be phenomenally effective for many times of pain).

As I mentioned before I am not thrilled about the idea of enemas especially with my past colostomy bag but if you feel it would be that beneficial I will certainly try. Can you send me links to how to do this and what I would need to buy? I have tried searching but have not come up with enough info to instruct me. I have seen you mention an enema bucket; can you give me information on that as well? Also how often would I do these, I see you once mention that “Daily coffee enemas are your best friend “? Would I do other enemas as well? Enemas for dummies if you have it :)…I have never done one and I am totally clueless.

It took me almost 3 years to muster up the courage to do my first enema (which was a coffee enema)...and I didn't have any colon/poop issues at all! We've all 'btdt' at some level or another. When I answer your other 'question list' I'll give you more info. You can definitely start slow & easy - for example, a full coffee enema is technically 4 cups of coffee/water solution (1 Tablespoon of coffee per cup of water). There's no reason at all you can't make it 1/2 strength, and no reason you can't start with 1 cup instead of 4 cups :) I would certainly try and do it whatever way will be the most beneficial. Of course, it all works better if you can 'put it all together'...but there's no need to pressure yourself or do anything that makes you uncomfortable. Progress is a process - and almost everything in this process is new to you. Keep learning (you're doing a GREAT job already) - knowledge is the key to feeling comfortable and confident :)Thank you Uny.  'Welcome, of course, Honestly, I was sure that doing enemas would always be foreign to me and feel unnatural forever, but it didn't take long for my body and doctor within to turn that notion upside down!

When you get a chance I still need the info on Coffee Enemas…the coffee enemas for dummies version…lol. As I said I have never done an enema in my life and I am totally clueless. I appreciate your help with what I should do and everything I need to buy.

Would I also be doing other enemas as well?

Nausea: I can tell you're doing your best to stay away from the pharmaceuticals (good for you!). I don't know what all you've tried but ginger root is usually the most effective 'anti nausea herb' ….

I did use ginger before but I will try again. I am not sure if I made a tea with it or just added it to my juice.

Dr. Christopher recommends these herbs for nausea: Anise seed, cinnamon bark, cloves, European avens, giant Solomon seal, ginger, golden seal (pregnancy and other), lavender, mint, origanum, peach leaves, pennyroyal (not for pregnancy), peppermint, raspberry leaves, spearmint, sweet balm, whortleberry, wild yam.Thank you, I will look into these as well. Would there be one you would recommend I start with if the ginger does not work? How would I take them? I do have a problem with getting nauseous at times and wonder if some of these new things could also add to that? Just trying to see if I should have anything like these herbs on hand in case the ginger tea does not work?  Well, to know which would be most effective we'd need to know the cause of the nausea (or even what you think/guess would get us closer). Of course, I realize that migraines & nausea go hand in hand. Many of the pharmaceuticals you take have the adverse effect of nausea...and it's important to realize that these chemical effects don't have to be correlated with the time you take the drug/s.

Many drugs take several hours (some take days) to break down to their 'half life' (the entire bloodstream goes through the liver every 3 minutes...so if it takes 18-24 hours for the liver to break it down to 'half', that's a LOT of liver stress). So the nausea effect may not be directly due to  the chemical in the drug, but rather because the liver (or kidneys or other organ/system) are overworked or stressed for long periods. When this happens, many times the liver/other has a period of "downtime" where it can't function adequately until it recovers. It's this 'downtime' 1-2 days after a few days on a drug/combination that can be the cause. Of course, some drugs have an 'immediate nausea' profile, and when the body is chemically forced into an action or symptom, it's really tough to override it with natural herbs. That is very helpful info, thank you

So, what do YOU sense causes or triggers it? Is it always "the same nausea" or does it vary? Is it a 'crampy tightness' (where you feel if you could relax something, the nausea would subside). Is it accompanied some form of dizziness or lightheadedness? Difference in bowel activity (color, consistency, etc)? Are there other symptoms that always come along with the nausea? Does it cause vomiting? If so, what percentage of the time?

Not 100% sure what causes the nausea. At times it is certainly the migraines. Other times I can for no reason just start feeling queasy. It is not a crampy type, just queasy like I might throw up type of feeling. No difference that I notice in my bowels but I have never checked. Sometimes there is dizziness and lightheadadeness with it. No other symptoms and I have never vomited from it, just feel like I could.

You'd use any of the herbs above as a tea...my second choices (after ginger root) would be peppermint or spearmint, raspberry leaf and peach (can be the flesh, doesn't have to be the leaf).

Besides my normal nausea issues you also answer in response to one of my questions that some of this protocol may make me nauseous. With my history I think it would be best to be prepared to have several things on hand so that I can try and stay away from the phenergan and the zofran. I know we discussed ginger which I will keep on hand. Can you make suggestions on what I might keep on hand for this type nausea in addition to what I get on occasion and the nausea from my migraines? Perhaps several things I might try?

You mention above making teas from the above herbs. Can you give me instructions and where I would buy them?

Do you know how fast these type things work? Also is there anything I could carry with me? Sometimes it happens when I am out. I always have my migraine meds on me and anti-nauesa pills. It would be great if there was something I could carry with me in case I get nauseous while I am out.

I did see you mention a tip that said “Always have a ginger in your hand; fresh ginger root that you can chew on when you feel any waves of nausea coming.”  How long will unpeeled ginger last just wondering if that is anything I could carry?

Also, the Liver/Detox/Digestion tea might be extremely soothing and beneficial (you'll need this for the liver cleansing anyway).Should I go ahead and try this as well for the nausea? Since you'll be getting it sooner or later anyway (for the liver cleansing), you might as well go ahead and 'make friends with it' now. It's very soothing & calming to the digestive tract.

Depression: I suffered with "genetic severe clinical depression" for over 15 years. I was officially "incurable" and had to be on meds for the rest of my life. ::::insert huge smirk here::: I still have a Prozac capsule in plain sight on my desk, just to remind me how WRONG they are about depression! I tried everything to get off the drugs (including, I think, every encapsulized version of St. John's Wort on the market). Thank you for sharing your experience. As I mentioned I think I have struggled for years with depression but since the surgery's it has gotten much worse. I am off the wellbutrin now so I am not taking anything for it. Good for you...personally, Wellbutrin never did a thing for me (made me feel very anxious & 'wired').

A good colon, liver, and kidney cleansing (what I now know is something I should have been doing yearly, the same way I do maintenance on a car or any other equipment) and fish oil, a gradual taper and I was "all done Prozac". Should I be doing a fish oil? I used to and still have some but these are supplements in pill form? What would you recommend? I think they are good for you but I am not sure what form to take them in? I am not a seafood eater at all. Or perhaps oil I should be drinking oil? Eeew, "drink" fish oil when you have nausea issues? Either you're a bit masochistic or you're the most devoted 'healing warrior' I've met! None of the healers that our protocol is based up ever utilized 'fish oil'...but I can't see why it wouldn't be alright to add it. If I miss it for a few days, I always notice the difference. When using it for "mental reasons" it's not important you get the expensive 'all natural' kinds (that are high in vitamins), all you need to concern yourself with is the EPA and DHA amounts. Go for around 1000/500. This is the one I typically use: http://www.iherb.com/Natural-Factors-RxOmega-3-Factors-Fish-Oil-Concentrate-1... Four capsules is 800/400. RxOmega has many different selections - just be sure it's "purified" and that it does NOT contain soy (no no, gmo!)

As far as drinking fish oil I have had things like the carslons and such before and it was not bad but I usually take pills. I will continue to use what I have and when that is done I will check into others.

St. John’s Wort: A few days of St. John's Wort always makes a HUGE difference...and it's definitely what I suggest (it's also good for muscle pain). It may not be something you ever need after you've restored your health, but it's fantastic for relieving the symptoms of depression. You said that I might not need the St. John’s Wort when I restore my health so I am guessing from this and your oral recommendations that you think should add the St. John’s in now since the depression is so bad?   Yes, I think the St. John's would be very beneficial - I know what depression is like, and I seriously respect the effort you're putting into learning and researching. When I was "bad", I was basically pretty-much a zombie (and very VERY "grumpy" & frustrated...not to mention frustrating to others).  In one place you suggested that I get a sample and give it a try and in your recommendations you also stated “--St John's Wort Tincture (for depression) - recommended dosage is 2-4 dropperfuls 3x daily” Should I order a bottle now or just go with the sample? If a bottle what size would I get for the dose you recommend? I suggested a sample simply because of it's possible interaction with the drugs. If I were you/depressed, I'd want 4oz :::grin::: You can take far more than the 2-4 droppersful at a time (I've taken 12-16 droppersful occasionally, which is 3-4 teaspoons). And since you don't want to take it with the 'migraine meds', it'd be a good idea to take more than 2-4 droppersful, so if you have to do without for a few days, you'd be 'one step up' on it.

Are there any side effects with it? Since it is made with alcohol can it make you drowsy? When would I take it each day?  There's the possibility of 'sun sensitivity' with the St. John's in an 'isolated extract', but I've never heard of that with the "whole herb" tinctures. Whenever you sense you're getting too much alcohol from the tinctures, just put the dose/s in a glass and splash them will boiling water...the majority of the alcohol will 'evaporate off' :)

Have you had anyone experience tiredness from the St. John’s Wort? I read some people take it before bed because of that issue. If it does make me tired can I take  it all at one time instead of spread thru the day?

Do you have links about it?   Yep, I gots links :) You'll love this first one: St Johns Wort for Depression

I asked you questions above in regards to the cayenne for muscle pain but you also mention that the St. John’s Wort is not only for depression but can help with muscle pain? Would the St. John’s for pain be what I take daily for depression or would I take an additional dose when I am having muscle pain?  I doubt you'd get an "immediate reaction response" for the muscle pain - it's something that you'll likely take for at least a week before noticing that the pain is lessening. But you might! I've had people swear they could sense their depression lifting in less than 2 days (but not all people).

“The databases indicate there *might* be a interaction with Imitrex. This warning is "theoretical, based on pharmacology" (meaning there's never been a known reaction, they just think there's the possibility of one). I personally doubt there's any type of a risk, but it's not my body. Would you think the interaction (if there is one) would occur when you take it on the same day as Imitrex or within same month? I do not take imitrex every day, just as needed with migraines. Hopefully the other things will work for the migraines and I will no longer need the imitrex. Right, you wouldn't take it on the same day as the Imitrex, and that should prevent any interaction.

Problem is I won’t know when I will get a migraine unless I wake with one. Guess I am just going to have to test it out. Hopefully I will not need to take the imitrex

Thyroid issues- I say give the Ashwagandha a try and then take it from there. It's likely you could a few months of plant-based Iodine. We have that in Dr. Christopher's Kelp Combination...but I hate to see folks spend money on herbs they might not need (not all thyroid issues are 'lack of iodine').I will try the Ashwagandha now and then perhaps we can see later if I need the iodine. I appreciate your trying to help me not order now if there is a possibility I won’t need it.  Ashwagandha is a very beneficial herb; other than the taste, I know of no 'down sides'. The reason we even have an Apothecary is because we simply couldn't afford to buy Superfood retail for ourselves...and making one led to making another (and so forth & so on). It's SO important that top-quality products are available to folks on their healing journey (that aren't overpriced like the few that are available on today's market). Sure, I teach/show people what "enough" really is (the old herbalists/healers dispensed mostly in 8oz bottles with teaspoon/tablespoon sized doses). But I know what it's like to not be able to afford 'what I need', and I never want to see people spending more money than they have to (unless of course, they just want to :).

I take 1-3 Tablespoons daily (mixed with water or juice). I'd start with 1T and work up to 3T (if I need it). Does this get taken on an empty stomach? Perhaps ½ before meals?  If I am juice fasting I do not think it matters since it is taken with juice.

Also, how will I know if I need to increase? With so much going on with my physically and taking so much I am not sure how to judge my need to increase certain things. I do not know if I start to feel better how I will know what to attribute it to. Hopefully that makes sense

Stomach: Yes, a poochy stomach that 'no exercise will flatten' is typically a sign of colon congestion (and if it's higher, it can be a swollen liver, particularly if it's a bit 'right sided')It is hard to say now where exactly it is poochy because of the scars and bloating since the surgery, my tummy is still a bit deformed. I do not think it is right sided butmainly just straight across. See image below...just to clarify - are you talking about your actual "stomach"- #4 in the image (most people aren't when they refer to their stomach or tummy), or are you referring to the various intestines below your actual stomach? If you don't mean your stomach, then you will likely resolve a LOT of poochyness via cleansing and healing. It takes most of us several months (at the very least) to totally restore an intestinal tract that's been compromised for decades (so don't be discouraged if you aren't 'unpoofy' in a few weeks). There's more to it than just cleansing away the build-up of debris (which can take months all by itself). Getting it all 'tightened up' after being stretched out for so long (and getting that natural peristalsis back online) is part of it all. And liver function is very important to the process. It all works together :)

You are right, I am not referring to my actual stomach. You are a wealth of information! It is the “ various intestines below your actual stomach”

Sleep: do your best to stay away from the benzos (xanax, clonazepam, valium) - they're the thing most likely to help the symptom and worsen the condition.

Lady’s Slipper: The herbal tincture most likely to create a sound, uninterrupted sleep is also the most expensive. It's called Lady's Slipper, and it's phenomenally effective. . Most people are sleeping within 20-30 minutes of taking 1-2 teaspoons of the tincture (approximately 4-8 droppersful). I think I would like to try this. I see you sell this in ounces. How much would I buy if I took it nightly? Do you know if this makes you drowsy the next day? Or has any other adverse affects?  It seems to have a 'next day' effect of a very slight 'calming' for me (it's claim to fame is 'quieting a racy brain')...and that effect (for me) seems to roll over into the following day (at least in the morning).

I guess I will have to see how this effects me. Not sure right now that I need any more calming in my life, I could use a little less…lol! But I do think it is worth a try

It's possible to get a very slight hallucinogenic effect if taken in excess...but I've never heard of that happening (the hallucinogenic effect is supposedly similar to the hallucinogenic effect of cannabis - which is barely discernible at all to most). Using the dropper in a 4oz oz bottle, 4 droppersful is almost a teaspoon. One teaspoon is usually enough for me, but when I've been incredibly stressed (and my brain is racing on 4 or 5 'channels', lol), I've taken up to 2 teaspoon (8 droppersful). So (from the chart above) there'd be 37 "1 teaspoon" doses, and 18.5 doses of 2 teaspoon each.

If I am calculating correct a 2 oz bottle would be 84 drpfl which is about 21 teaspoon doses, right?  Maybe I should start with a sample? I think the ½ ounce sample would 5 teaspoon doses, right?

What about melatonin? Is this bad to take? I do find when things are going “well” that will usually help me sleep but I would not say it is always “uninterrupted” or restful but I do sleep. I also used to take magnesium at night to help with sleep and constipation.  If you're using a supplement (Melatonin) that you know is working, I suggest continuing it and then weaning off as it's need becomes less & less.

Is there anything wrong with using Melatonin as a sleep aide (such as the side affects you mentioned to me with my other medications) or is it the issue with supplements as a whole? Or are you saying that I could wean off as the need becomes less because I will be able to sleep on my own without anything? I am just curious in case the lady’s slipper does not work for me. The melatonin does work better than anything I have taken before but sometimes I do get crazy dreams and also as I said before I do not sleep uninterrupted.

The magnesium...?...not so much the same, because the reason that magnesium increases bowel activity is that it draws water from the bloodstream into the intestinal tract. This means that our natural electrolyte balance can be disrupted (stressing our kidneys & adrenals) as well as causing dehydration. Also, this encourages 'bowel action weakness' because it 'bandaids' the constipation without doing anything to address the cause. So I'd ditch the magnesium when you get the IF#1 (which will ensure you're not constipated).

Again great info! I will not continue with the supplement. Now this may be my supplement brainwashing but I do believe there is a need for us to have magnesium, correct? But my guess is as I go more raw and juice that I would get my need filled from greens like spinach, nuts etc and also the superfoods formula, correct?

Hormonal: I truly believe a huge percentage of this 'hormonal thing' will disappear after your first 30 days colon cleansing/healing round (I also believe it's likely you'll need at least another 30 days).  That would be wonderful!  Methinks you'll definitely have some level of relief - it might be substantial!

If you feel you want to supplement, Dr. Schulzes Female Formula is awesome. I know that when I used 'hormone supplements' before I did my first colon cleanse, the results were always negative.

They were very negative for me as well.

Now I know it's because there wasn't anything truly "wrong" with me at all, it was simply my liver couldn't process what hormones I was making adequately, and I couldn't make enough because my ovaries were squished out of shape/function. My body didn't want supplements, it wanted to be healed. However, at that time, I didn't think to buy/try the Female Formula (because I'd had negative experiences with other low-quality herbs) Do you think I should do at least a 30-Day colon cleanse and then see if I need to try the female tonic formula? That's what I'd do. Some gals go ahead and get the Female Formula so they can get some relief right off the bat, so if you want to do that, it'd be okay.   I was so used to the 'hormone tango' (and the severe cramps & clots, which I'd had all my life), that I didn't ever even consider trying to heal it naturally in the beginning. I just felt it WAS natural :::eyeroll::: Also, at the time I did my first colon cleanse, I was not aware of the benefits it could have on my female-system, so the next month when my period started (without 'warning me' with 7-10 days of major PMS), I was flabbergasted. It actually worried me (I was sure there must be something wrong! lol). I didn't make the connection with the colon cleanse until I learned more.

I think I will wait since we are trying so much now. If I continue to have symptoms then I can try it

Memory:. The best thing for this is Dr. Schulzes Brain Formula (the one I suggested to help with migraines). The major herb in it is Ginkgo, but it has others to create a strong/effective synergistic action. It is slightly stimulating due to the "1 part Kola Nut" (which contains natural caffeine). I guess the stimulating would not be bad for me since I am so tired. Any side effects or other cautions with this?  The natural caffeine in the Kola Nut is the only thing I know of.  I once used it to kick my coffee habit, so it's possible there's enough caffeine in the Brain Formula to cause you to have a bit of 'caffeine withdrawal' when you stop taking it...but I didn't experience that as I weaned off it.

I noticed on the link that it said “This Brain Formula Tincture can also be used for "KILLER" Migraine Headaches (6-10 Dropperfuls at ONCE)! If Brain Circulation is CONSTRICTED, HOLDING Blood in the Skull, using Lobelia Seed Pod Tincture (also see Basic Tincture Method) may work BETTER to cause the SPASM to let GO!” You also recommended it for my headaches.

So would you recommend the Brain Formula for my memory and the migraines? Would I take it daily? If yes, how much a day and what size bottle should I buy?If it is stimulating I would not want it to interfere with my sleep so would I take early in the day? For memory, yes, you'd take it every day - same basic dosage as most: 2-4 droppersful 3x daily (6-12 droppers a day). Depending upon how sensitive you are to the Kola Nut, I'd say not to take any 4-6 hours before going to bed. You can spread your doses throughout the day however you'd prefer.

I am trying to decide if I should just try this now for my migraines only and then I can see after I do some of the cleanses and such if I still need to take this daily for my memory? As we have discussed I do not want to start too many things in the hope that I will not need them after some of the cleanses are done. It might be best to start with the 2oz size which would give me about 16 of the 5 droppersfuls l doses for migraines.

I did notice on the link you sent me about it that it states “Ginkgo Biloba has been proven effective for Depression…”. What are your thoughts on this in regards to depression and compared to St. John’s Wort?

When I have an actual migraine would I use additional brain formula as he instructs (6-10 Dropperfuls at ONCE) and also the cayenne tincture? I realize some of this may be trial and error to see what works at that time. Is there any problem with using them at the same time? For example if I had a “killer migraine” and I tried the brain formula and it did not relieve it could I then try the cayenne tincture?   Yes, 'trial & error' (or better yet, "trial & success") is something we usually need to do to learn how our body responds. If it were me, this is what I'd do with the migraine issues you report (after I had acclimated to Cayenne tincture doses at the 2-3 droppersful level):

What did you mean by “(after I had acclimated to Cayenne tincture doses at the 2-3 droppersful level):” I know with the powder you have me starting “with 1/8 teaspoon as a dose and work up to at least 1/2 teaspoon per dose” but I did not see any plan with the cayenne tincture? I thought I was starting with 2 droppersfuls of Cayenne Tincture #1 3-5x daily (separate from the ACV Bombs) but then I was lowering the Cayenne Tincture as I increased the Cayenne Powder? I do not see daily that I would get up to 2-3 dropperfulls?

Also when you say “after I had acclimated to Cayenne tincture doses at the 2-3 droppersful level “ do you mean that I would not start the plan you have given me below ( taking the 5 droppersful etc) until after I had acclimated to Cayenne tincture doses at the 2-3 droppersful level? I am confused by this because I thought this is what I would do starting immediately when I get a migraine?

Upon sensing a migraine 'coming on', I would immediately take 5 droppersful of Cayenne tincture and take another 5 if needed (as I explained before). If that didn't work (or only worked partially), I'd take 5 of the Brain Formula (and another 5 in the same manner as the Cayenne). (Note: caffeine can have a positive OR negative effect on migraines...typically positive, but not always. So be SURE to "test" the Brain Formula before taking 5 droppersful. I'd start with 1/2 a dropperful, which is approximately 15 drops - then if that didn't have a negative effect, make my next dose a full dropperful, then my next 1 1/2 droppersful, then 2, etc).  Definitely test the Lobelia in the same manner - sometimes 15 drops of Lobelia is all it takes (and our Lobelia is very potent).

Thank you for giving me a “plan” you know how much I like that! It sounds like a great one. Caffeine usually has a positive effect on my migraines. But it can have a negative effect when I have it too many days in a row. Sometimes it can cause headaches. I guess I need to see what the Kola Nut will be like, if I will have effects from it.

What does he mean by “using Lobelia Seed Pod Tincture (also see Basic Tincture Method) may work BETTER to cause the SPASM to let GO!”

Lobelia is almost a 'magical' herb (it was Dr. Christopher's favorite - he always said, "If in doubt, Lobelia". It's the only herb in his School of Natural Healing book to which he devoted an entire chapter). Also, it's very 'dose dependent'. Example: a small dose can calm the digestive tract & relieve nausea; a high dose will induce vomiting (but most people need to take several teaspoons/tablespoon to induce vomiting). It has an immediate effect of "relaxing" (it will stop spasms & seizures and asthma attacks - in fact, it will even stop an epileptic grand mal seizure!). Hence it's possible that a dropperful (or two, or even less) could "relax" whatever constriction or spasm that causes (or worsens) a migraine. This is just a reference to the way to make a tincture --->  (also see Basic Tincture Method)

I wonder if this would be helpful with my muscle spasms and pain? Pain that is not from migarines?

Note: when on the site from which you copied that, while researching Dr. Schulze and other healers...there are many times we find newsletters and commentary which mix the information from the healers themselves with that of the person writing the newsletter or commentary (typically that's Tom Harrelson...a truly gifted and wonderful man!). So just keep in mind that not everything on the site that has quotes by Dr. Schulze is "100%" Dr. Schulze.

Lobelia is something everyone should have in their 'herbal first-aid kit'...and it's something I was going to suggest trying for the migraines if the Cayenne and/or Brain formula 'wasn't enough'. We'll be happy to send a 1/2 oz sample size - just add it to your 'sample requests' when you order.

Thank you I will do that.

What are your thoughts on Candida Diet and such? Again I read so much conflicting info about feeding the yeast etc.

With the IF#1/IF#2 deep intestinal cleansing & healing (to remove the 'decaying matter' on which it feeds and create a terrain that's positive for recolonization of healthy microbiota), plenty of raw garlic and acv (as antifungals), Echinacea (to support the immune system & assist in eradicating it), and continuous replenishing of the intestinal microbiota & (and of course, minimal sugar), we can knock it out AND ensure it stays out!

Regarding Echinacea & Candida: from here: http://www.purelinatural.com/ArticleCandidaHealth.html Echinacea is an antiseptic and anti-infection herb that helps stimulate the immune system. Scientific research indicates antibiotic activity, cortisone-like activity, promotion of wound healing, production of systemic interferon and stimulation of T-cell lymphocytes. Sounds like a good thing to add not only for the candida but for my immune system as well.  I continue to find new & amazing aspects of Echinacea (check this out when you have the time: Echinacea - MANY BENEFITS  And this for fun 'herbal lore'Echinacea Wellness Tip of the Month - the ORIGINAL "Snake Oil"!  ). It's far & away my favorite herb - I take at least a teaspoon everyday :)

Colon Cleanse Questions: --

IF#1 & IF#2 - for deep, thorough colon cleansing, removing/healing diverticulitis, assisting with candida overgrowth & restoring the terrain of your intestinal tract so that the beneficial organisms can colonize...and ensuring that your body is assimilating nutrition, able to eliminate waste, and that you're not continuing to toxify your body/bloodstream via the water/nutrients that soak/seep through the toxic build-up & debris. As you've seen in Dr. Schulzes colon newsletter, it may be that this issue is at the root of the migraine issue. This is also the first issue to address for hormone related issues, as the sigmoid colon wraps directly around uterus/ovaries. 30 days minimum. Follow dosage recommendations here: http://curezone.com/schulze/handbook/intestinal.asp#2 (the 8-16 oz of water after each of the 5 daily doses is not included in the 'daily gallon').

Which IF#1 & IF#2 –I am guessing I want the ones under specific packages. Which one?

30 Day Colon - 100 IF#1 - 30 oz IF#2 Ground Flax

30 Day Colon - 100 IF#1 - 30 oz IF#2 ULTRA Ground Flax

30 Day Colon - 100 IF#1 - 30 oz IF#2 ULTRA Whole Flax

30 Day Colon - 100 IF#1 - 30 oz IF#2 Whole Flax

Or should I do the 200 IF#1?   IF#1 is "as needed" individually - some people need 1 capsule a day (or none) - other people need 10-20 daily. If you're already having 2 bms a day, it's not likely to take more than 3 capsules to get it up to 3 bms a day...so you should be okay with the "100 capsule" options. Ground flax seed or whole flax seed is entirely your choice - it's been made both ways by Dr. Schulze. We always made it with just the ground flax seed until we realized there's a huge 'internet thing' about flax seed going "rancid" within hours after it's ground :::sigh::: It doesn't become "rancid", it just oxidizes like any other grain or seed when it's ground. But since that info is 'out there', we wanted to give folks the choice. I think the ground flax seed version would likely be best for you (I think the ground flax is "softer" and more soothing than the whole seeds).. The "Ultra" has more charcoal and bentonite. I typically suggest people stay with the regular until they're sure they can achieve 3 bms daily (unless they have known issues with things like heavy metals, where they need the extra toxin adorption asap), because the Ultra is more likely to be constipating. It's GREAT for the second 30 days.

So I believe you are suggesting the 30 Day colon -100 IF#1 -30oz IF#2 Ground Flax for the first 30 days, correct? Then we can touch base and see what I should do for the next 30 days

Would there be any concerns with my past colon surgery and Diverticulosis with doing a cleanse? My colon is totally healed according to the surgeon. There shouldn't be any issues at all, as these formulas were created for people that were seriously compromised (many had outlived their prognosis)...and MANY people have had diverticulitis and/or colon surgeries/tumors before taking it. However, there's absolutely NO reason to go at it like we're killing snakes!

I suggest you start with the IF#1 capsules as recommended, taking one with or right after your normal evening meal - then see how your body responds. It's typical to have a bit of cramping or be a bit gassy because the herbs stimulate the intestinal tract to squeeze (and there's a bit of cayenne and other herbs that kill candida). The typical recommendation is to see if you have 2-3 bms the next day, and if you don't...then take 2 capsules the next night with your evening meal (and continue working up 1 capsule per day until you're having 3 bms a day). Many people find it better to split the doses, taking 1 capsule with breakfast and another with supper.

Since we want to make SURE there's no harm happening, I'd suggest sticking with just 1 capsule for two days (or even three) before going up to 2 capsules. And then stick with 2 for a couple of days before going up to three. Also, make sure to have the Slippery Elm porridge one or two times daily (which is incredibly soothing and healing). Here's the ingredients & "actions" of the IF#1 and IF#2: http://curezone.com/schulze/handbook/intestinal.asp#1

Once you get regulated on the IF#1 then you add the IF#2 (and feel free to start at 1/2 doses and work up to the 'heaping teaspoon' dose), it would be very unusual to experience constipation.Thank you, those instructions are very helpful  Always, always, ALWAYS - "First physician, do no harm" :)

Yes, psyllium can cause a bit of gas/bloating. Normally this is short-lived because once we get the bowels moving regularly, the fiber doesn't have time in the intestinal tract to ferment and give off gas. From what you are saying I should not experience constipation. Is there any need to have anything on hand a type of senne tea or anything just in case?  The IF#1 contains senna (and other similar herbs). If you want to have some senna tea 'on hand', that's certainly alight...but with the IF#1 having the same type of action, I can't see why you'd need it.

Someone mentioned in a post to me that they add Psyllium husk to your formula #1, is this something people often do? Should I have anything like that on hand? The ground psyllium seed & husk is in the IF#2 - I've never heard of anybody adding psyllium to the IF#1 (the IF#1 is encapsulized, so they could actually "add it into the capsules" unless they took them apart). I'd guess they meant the IF#2.

Yes I had that wrong. I think they said that it was a little too powdery so they added the husk. I think I will leave things as is and see how it goes!

On the doseage link It says to take “One hour after your morning nutritional drink …” What is this? Is this the superfoods? Or is it the nutritional drink listed below? Is this the superfoods smoothie I read about? How often do I drink this?

8 ounces of fresh-squeezed fruit juice, or less if the sugar content does not agree with you.

8 ounces or more of distilled or pure water.

1/2 to one cup of fresh seasonal fruit.

2 ounces of food mixture from above recipe. ( I am guessing this is superfoods?)

Yes, the 'nutritional drink' refers to a Superfood smoothie. Yes, that's the 'typical' recipe for a Superfood smoothie...but you do not have to use that recipe if you don't want to (you can alter it any way you'd like as long as you don't add pizza & beer :::silly eyeroll:::).

Got it! Take the first dose of the IF#2 one hour after whatever I am drinking in the am. I think that even when I am not juice-fasting I will have a smoothie of some sort in the am.

We discussed me starting the juice-fasting when I am “regulated to 3+ bms daily”. S if I am correct when I regulate to 3 bm’s daily I (1) Begin IF#2 and continue #1 and #2 for 30 days (2) Begin Juice Fast (3) Start my parasite cleanse with the “UnyWorm dry herbs (to mix into 3 of the 5 doses of IF#2)” and continue parasite cleanse for 30 days

When I begin IF#2 I take the IF#1 as usual “but increase your regular dosage by 1 additional pill, or more if necessary to have sufficient bowel movements.” correct?

When juice-fasting, I suggest adding actual fruit only one time per day...but it's not going to 'break the protocol' if you have 1/2 a cup of pureed fruit 2-3x daily in with additional smoothies. What most people find is there's no WAY they can ingest a gallon of juice, the herbal teas (if they're using them) AND three Superfood smoothies.

That does seem like a lot each day!. With just a gallon of juice it is 16 cups already, I think that will be plenty no need for extra fruit!

When you say “actual fruit” I am guessing you mean blended instead of juiced? We discussed using fruit in the juices I would be drinking each day.

What's important is that you get 4-6T of Superfood in you every day...it doesn't really matter 'how' you get it in you. Some people like to add it to Potassium Broth http://healingtools.tripod.com/thn8.html#potbroth (or any type of veggie broth, which you can have on a juice-fast, too) Btw, ignore that part at the end of the Potassium Broth recipe about "it must be taken by sick people only" - it's just a veggie broth that's strong on the potassium side (our sodium/potassium balance is usually WAY too high in sodium, and sodium 'feeds' cancer). If you choose to make it (or any kind of veggie broth), this is your opportunity to 'bolster' a particular vitamin, nutrient, or mineral you want to 'supplement'. This site is GREAT for finding 'what food = what nutrient'': http://nutritiondata.self.com/tools/nutrient-search

That is a great idea, to “'bolster' a particular vitamin, nutrient, or mineral” especially for me right now. I had not thought of that at all, to try and figure out what I might need and get it in my juice or a broth during that fasting time. I had not thought of being intentional during the fasting time with what I juice/make broth. I had thought I would juice the basic vegetables and fruits that I knew were healthy (such as the ones from Gerson I listed) and decide a lot by the flavor.  I really need to adjust my brain to the fact that my juice fast is for healing instead of thinking of it as part of my eating plan. How would I know what vitamin, nutrient, or mineral I need to bolster? Are there ways to figure it out or suggestions you might have? (as if you have not done enough!).

I do see later you did let me know that I needed to “juice high calcium/silica fruits & veggies and whenever possible add high calcium/silica herbs” and to check this site for it “

In regards to the broth it is just the peels for the carrot and potatoes, the outer layers, correct? I saw this post and it seemed to be more detailed than Dr. Schultze’s : http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1414814#i

When you say 30 days minimum does that mean from when I start or from when I am on #1 and #2 together?   It means "around 30 days" give or take a few days. When in doubt, always go with ' what's best for your body' (which in this case is to start counting on the day you start the IF#2)...that way you're sure to get 30 days worth of healing/cleansing goodness.

I think I got it. So IF#1 until I am regulated to 3+ bms then begin IF#2 and continue with both for 30 days.

“After using the intestinal formula #1 for at least a week, begin the colon cleansing formulas mentioned in the chapter on bowel cleansing in the User Manual. This comes before anything else you do. Take the Number Two Intestinal Formula 6 times a day, and do NOT decrease the number of times you take it by using more formula less often. You want the formula in your colon at all times, and not sporadically. Then, you will notice parasites being removed, casing of old fecal matter coming out, and mucus. If you take the number two formula erratically or once or twice a day, this will not happen. I can confused by the information above which was on the link, can you explain?  You betcha! :)  I can explain (but none of us like the answer). Dr. Schulze wrote lots of different instructions at lots of different times during his years in his clinics (and now that he's not doing clinical work and only "selling product", his instructions are many times different from when he was in practice). SO, you'll see variances like this quite frequently (and do know that you're NOT the first person --or the thousandth-- to be confused). To clarify the above - if you are having 3 bms daily after 2-3 days on the IF#1 and you want to go ahead and start the IF#2, that works. If you'd rather make absolutely 'persnickety sure' that you can continue having 3bms daily on the IF#1 before you start the IF#2, that works, too.

I think this answers a question that I had which was when I get to 3 bm’s daily how many days at 3 bm’s should I wait before beginning IF#2? I think from what you are saying I could start IF#2 the next day I do not need to wait to make absolutely 'persnickety sure' that you can continue having 3bms daily”, correct?

5x daily or 6x daily? Since you'll be starting with heaping 1/2 teaspoons (to make sure everything is 'safe' from the surgery), you'll likely have enough to have 6 doses daily. Our '30 day bags' of IF#2 are measure for a heaping teaspoon 5x daily. When I'm doing IF#2, I take a level (or heaping) tablespoon 5-6x daily (my body just LOVES IF#2 :) This: You want the formula in your colon at all times, and not sporadically. Then, you will notice parasites being removed, casing of old fecal matter coming out, and mucus. If you take the number two formula erratically or once or twice a day, this will not happen.  is ALWAYS the case!   Think of it like "scrubbing bubbles that have magnets"...every time you take a dose of IF#2, the psyllium and mucilaginous herbs 'swell a bit' and become sticky-slimey and gently stick to the junk (or lining) of your colon (doing a little 'scrubbing')...and the bentonite/charcoal 'pulls out' toxins. Then it gently pulls away...taking a tiny bit of the top layer of crud with it, and pulling at the deep chunks & pockets. We want this gentle action to happen again and again and again throughout the day...stick to the crud, pull away from the crud (taking a little bit with it) while tugging at the bigger pieces of plaque (and what is in the diverticuli pockets). The more times per day this action happens, the faster and more effective the cleanse will be.

Sounds like great stuff!

Since I want “the formula in your colon at all times, and not sporadically.” If I am going to be out for a portion of the day I need to take it with me, correct?

The link I have suggests that you start “One hour after your morning nutritional drink …. Do the same ½ hour before lunch, between lunch and dinner, ½ hour before dinner and 1 hour before bed, so that you are consuming a total of 5 heaping teaspoons each day." I think I could add my 6th dose (in the beginning) between dinner and bed, right?

Remember, the IF#2 also has slippery elm & marshmallow root - these two herbs are 'soothers & healers'. That way if a big hunk comes off quickly, there's soothing/healing herbs "right there at the ready" to soothe any tissue that might need a bit of soothing!

The one thing I love about Dr. Schulzes/Christophers products and protocols is that they did NOT design them to "sell". They designed them to use in their own clinic on very real (very sick) people. The last years of Dr. Schulzes clinical work was devoted to only people with "incurable" diseases...many that were supposed to be dead weeks or months before they found him.   These healers could not afford for their formulas to 'cause harm'...if they messed up with the formulations, very sick people got even sicker!! After using them for years (sometimes decades) successfully and safely, it was THEN they started selling them. They weren't just 'book smart' herbal brainiacs or theorists looking to write/sell books...if their methods and herbal combinations didn't work, people died.   Dr. Schulze says, "I'm not a virgin sex counselor" lol.

When might I start to see mucoid plaque being removed? I am sure it is different for everyine just tryin gto get an idea if I can. This is the fastest and 'mostest' I've ever heard tell of (be sure to read the whole thread - pix included): IF1 and 2 testimony

Be sure to note that Telly felt 'all kinds of crampy-urpy-bloaty' a day or two before this release. That is extremely common (and it certainly makes sense!) When we get a decade or two worth of build-up loosened up, it gives off all kinds of gas and toxins - so of course, we're going to 'feel it'.

Just so you know, there are many people that NEVER get out long 'ropes' like that - the largest I've ever gotten out was about 5"...but I've gotten out a LOT of them. Also, we've gotta do that pokin' around thing to find pieces like that. You'll soon learn to recognize exactly what the IF#2 fiber looks like (and what's normal feces and what's mucoid plaque). Sometimes the IF#2 fiber actually surrounds the pieces of mucoid plaque - so if you don't 'poke around', you'll miss them.

Superfood ("Original" if juice-fasting or vegan; "Special Blend" if eating meat and/or dairy). 2 Tablespoons daily for "typical living", 4-6 Tablespoons daily for energy & healing. 14 oz provide 2T daily for 30 days.I assume I would be 4-6 T daily right now for energy and healing, is this correct?  Correct!

I am not sure if I should get the original or special blend since it depends on what I am eating. As I mentioned above, I am not sure I could jump right into 100% raw. I think I am also waiting until my bm’s were regulated and then would do a juice fast. So, would it perhaps be best for me to get both kinds? Would you agree?  The "Original" has a lot more nutritional yeast than the "Special Blend" - the nutritional yeast is high in protein and B vitamins (something we typically get plenty of when we're eating meat & dairy, but not when we're vegan and/or juice fasting). So if you're going to be cutting down on the meat fairly substantially/quickly, I'd say go ahead and get the Original. If it's going to take you a few weeks to ditch the meat, then go ahead and get at least 14 oz of the Special Blend.

I think I will be cutting down meat pretty quickly. I plan to try and start raw until dinner next hopefully this week or next at the latest. So maybe I need to do 42 oz of the original and 14oz of the special to be safe? If my calculations are correct 14oz is 60T total so it is 10 days worth at 6T/day and 42oz is 180T total which is 30 days at 6T/day.

I am going to be taking 6T/day. Is it better to take it all at once in your am drink or to split it into two doses and have a 2nd drink later in the day?

When I do the Kidney and Liver Cleanses my guess is that I would consume the superfoods at another time of the day besides the morning since I will be drinking other things during those cleanses in the am, is that correct?

ACV Bomb (or Uny Bomb) - before every meal, have an ACV Bomb (1 Tablespoon of raw/organic apple cider vinegar; 1 "dose" of Cayenne powder; 1-3 minced cloves of garlic and 1 Tablespoon of organic Blackstrap molasses or raw local honey) If you add UnyWorm AntiParasite liquid to this, it's a Uny Bomb :) You say take before every meal, does that mean 3x day before breakfast/lunch/dinner? Does that mean drink this and eat directly after or do you wait a bit? What about when I am juice fasting? When/how would I drink this? The benefits of the vinegar (to help increase stomach acidity) will be most beneficial on an empty stomach, and the assimilation of the garlic, cayenne & blackstrap will happen faster that way, too. So it doesn't really matter if it's "right before a meal', just make sure your stomach is relatively empty when you take it. Same with juice-fasting...take the ACV bomb a few minutes before a juice rather than a few minutes afterward. 3x daily.

For the “dose” you previously mentioned I should start with 1/8 tsp and work my way up to ½ tsp, correct?  Right!

Do you prefer the molasses or honey? Just curious. I think I read something that blackstrap molasses can also be good for depression?  Blackstrap for the minerals; honey if someone has allergies (but the honey must be raw and from a local source to help with allergies).

I have no allergies so the blackstrap would be fine for me! I see Azure sells Wholesome Molasses, Blackstrap, Organic for $6.85 for 32 ozs. I think is my calculations are right this would last about 3 weeks? In ACV bomb I use 3T/day which is 21T/week. 1 liquid oz is supposed to equal 2T, so a 32oz bottle should contain approximately 64T which is basically enough for 3 weeks? The other sizes Azure sells I think are just way too large for me.

Would I need to use organic garlic or would any garlic do? I one of your posts you mentioned a Garlic Twist? What is that? I saw quite a few on the web. I have a garlic press but not a twist. Does this really make it easier? Guess you need something easy if you are using that much garlic daily!  Organic garlic is not essential, but it's always best (the cloves are MUCH bigger). Organic cloves can be as big as the end of your thumb!   So if you're not going to be able get organic (and the cloves are only about the size of your thumbnail), then "adjust up" the amount of cloves you take.

So it is 1-3 minced cloves of organic garlic and if I do not use organic than I would adjust up as you said, correct?

You don't have to have a 'garlic twister', but if you don't have one you need to mince the cloves by hand because a garlic press leaves WAY too much of the actual garlic in the press :( This is the one I have (and I totally love it!):  http://www.starwest-botanicals.com/product/garlic-twist.html

I did not think you were saying I had to have one, but I certainly don’t want to mince all that garlic by hand!

A little tip? Twist the garlic FIRST then shake as much into the glass as you can. But instead of trying to scrape out all the lil' pieces (that get stuck in the teeth of the Twister) with a knife or something, just pour a bit of the ACV/blackstrap blend (or a splash of water) into the twister, put the lid on it and give it a twist. And then you can easily pour out all the rest of the lil' garlic pieces :)

Besides great info you have great tips too!

I mentioned this above, do you think I should add the UnyWorm AntiParasite liquid to this now or wait until month two? Since you're likely going to be doing another month of bowel cleansing, I'd just get the dry/ground herbs for now. When that's combined with the ACV Bomb it's a very good parasite regime...and it will definitely "show up" any intestinal parasites you may have. If you have them (most of us do) and you're still seeing them in a month, then do it again with the liquid.

Sorry I think I forgot to delete this, you did cover this previously n the parasite cleanse section

The Garlic, ACV & Cayenne are all strong anti-candida/parasite herbs - the benefits of all three individually are phenomenal (something we should all have daily). The Blackstrap or raw honey are for nutrition. If you feel it's too 'sugary' with the Candida issues, then you can leave it out. My opinion? With THREE strong anti-candida herbs and just a tablespoons of Blackstrap/Honey (dissolved into the ACV), I don't think it's an issue. You can add a bit of water (a "gulp's worth" or two) - just don't dilute it too much or you won't get all the benefits of the ACV.  If you are fine with the Blackstrap/honey then I am as well! :) If you sense any type of "too much sugar" reaction, just cut it back to 1/2 Tablespoon and take it from there.

You said the ACV Bomb is “something we should all have daily”; will I do this long term?

Slippery Elm bark powder - 1-3 tablespoons daily (this can be added to the IF#2 mixture, but it's much more effective if taken separately in the form of a "porridge". When would I take this each day? I would do as porridge as you recommend. Whenever you'd prefer it :) When I'm juice fasting, if I decide to have some, I have it for 'breakfast', or for a late night treat.

It can be made with water, but it's MUCH tastier if made with apple juice (with a bit of cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of natural sweetener like maple syrup or honey). Would it be best to make my own apple juice? Since you use so much each day can I make it ahead and keep in fridge? Would it matter what type of apples (I know they should be organic) It's always best to make our own :) Any type of apples are fine - the 'green ones' have less sugar.

How long does apple juice keep if I make it ahead?

Herbal Calcium Tincture - this is one of Dr. Christopher's formulas and is FANASTICALLY effective for helping to rebuild bones. It's full of plant-based calcium & silica. Recommended dosage is 2-4 droppersful 3x daily  How many ounces would I need to do 2-4 dropperfuls 3x daily?

4oz (using 4oz dropper)  = 148 drpfl   ÷ 30.5 days =  4.85 drpfl  ÷ 14 days =  10.5 drpfl  ÷ 10 days =  14.8 drpfl

8oz (using 4 oz dropper) =  296 drpfl      ÷ 30.5 days =  9.7 drpfl  ÷ 14 days =  21 drpfl    ÷ 10 days =  30 drpfl

2 - 4 droppersful x 3x daily = 6-12 droppersful daily. 30.5 days in a month. 6-12 x 30.5 days = 183 - 366 droppersful in a month. This is one it seems like you really need "enough of" to help repair the damage from the steroids. If money were tight and I were making the decision for me, I'd get plenty of this and 'make a cut' somewhere else. For example, you could likely 'make do' with 1-2 droppersful of the Brain Formula 3x daily. And the BF&C is optional (more on the BF&C below)

Is this tincture is just for bone healing (for my knees) or if it is something I would use long term for calcium. I did mention that I have osteopenia and also have a family history of osteoporosis. I believe that calcium is important for me and understand from your info that supplements are not the way to go. With the knees, the osteopenia (steroids) and a family history, I'd take an 8oz bottle the first month and then adjust down in the following months...making sure to juice high calcium/silica fruits & veggies and whenever possible add high calcium/silica herbs (Prof. L. Kervran "Biological Transmutations" proved that silica converts to calcium in the body). Check here for high calcium/silica herbs & plants http://www.ars-grin.gov/duke/highchem.html (when using this database, be SURE to note what "part" of the plant/herb it's referencing)

And here for the produce: http://nutritiondata.self.com/tools/nutrient-search

Be sure to check on the grains/legumes/sprouts/nuts, too :)

Thank you for explaining the importance. I will do the 8oz bottle as you recommend for the first month. By your calculations this should give me a little over 9 droppersful/day so I could take 3 droppersful x 3x daily.

Does it matter when I take this during the day? On an empty stomach or with meal?

What about magnesium? Would I need to get this somehow as well? --Same links/databases as above. Don't forget :) -- once you start cleansing, juicing AND Superfooding, you're likely going to be getting more bio-available nutrients than your body has ever had in your entire life :)

BF&C Tincture, Tea or Oil (to support knee healing)???: http://curezone.com/upload/_N_Forums/Natural_Heali/BF_C_Info.doc Using BF&C to restore bones, flesh & cartilage +++ --

Deep Tissue Repair Oil (to support knee healing and/or for massage for muscle tension/tightness)???: Re: What is BF&C (for Tissue Repair) + Deep Tissue Repair Oil?   My knees are mostly not painful any longer, every once in awhile they may ache a bit. But the doctor told me they are still healing. She said that stress fractures can take awhile to heal. Mainly I am just not supposed to do any weight bearing exercise for awhile until the fractures are completly healed. In regards to walking I have been instructed to still not walk long distances, such as for exercise but otherwise I am okay. Healing and only aching once in a while...that's good news, for sure!

I am a little confused by the herbal calcium tinture and the BF&C, basically if there is a benefit/reason to have both? If not which would be the most beneficial to me?. As I asked above I was not sure if the herbal calcium tinture was just for my knee healing or for adding calcium to my diet as well. I ask this because if it is just for healing I did not know if I really needed it and/or the BF&C since as I mentioned my knees are not painful right now. Perhaps I need these for the healing process? As you can tell I am a little confused still by them.  I think it's totally understandable that you're "a little confused still"...you're grasping these concepts VERY quickly (and quite admirably!).  Thank you, you have been extremely helpful in how you explain it all to me an answer all of my questions! To me...?...osteopenia, stress fractures, family history of osteoporosis and past (high) steroid use adds up to "let's get these bones enough of what they need to repair themselves"! The Herbal Calcium is a solid/strong source of silica & calcium; the BF&C is also a solid/strong source of calcium (Oat Straw, Oak bark)...along with Comfrey (which contains a substance known as allantoin, which is a cell regenerator, amongst it's myriads of other attributes)...and Gravel root (which helps to dissolve 'rock calcium' build-up and deposits...and an array of synergistic herbs that help regenerate bone, flesh and cartilage. Remember, I'm always going to do my best to suggest everything I think/know would benefit your healing. The cleansing protocols aren't really optional, they're part of building a solid foundation, but you don't "have" to use "all" of the tinctures/herbs that I suggest (or that anybody suggests). You can add the BF&C later, or not use it at all if you feel you're progressing fine without it.

I appreciate that you are suggesting everything you can that will benefit my healing. You have gone into detail with my history and current issues and have been very helpful in suggesting the items you think would benefit me and why.

If I understand you correctly the Herbal Calcium Tincture is the most important but the BF&C is also good for me considering the history. I am guessing that the mentioned Tincture would be the best choice for it? I do no think I have information on the dosage I would take? I would like to see what size I would need so I could look over the cost involved to add this.

I do not have a hand held shower head so I would not be able to do the Hot/Cold Contrast therapy that way but I could do hot/cold packs. It sounds like a good thing to try along with the showers you mention in the recommendations. Hot/cold packs work just fine. Hot/cold and castor oil packs are SO much more effective than most people realize. We know the hot/cold draw blood to the area and pushes it away. Dr. Schulze says something like "you're doing all this work to cleanse, oxygenate and nourish your healing blood, and you're putting all the healing herbs into your bloodstream. The hot/cold drives the nutrient/herbal laden blood TO the parts that need to be restored, oxygenating them and 'shoving in' all the healing goodness, then draws it away, carrying all the hardened minerals and toxins that prevent healing (or cause the problem)". WOOHOO! That's what I LOVE about these natural healers - they make so much SENSE!   And when it makes sense, that's when I can do what it takes to 'make it happen'!

In the “What is BF&C” post it states “Start with several daily hot/cold treatments, if that doesn't do the trick...add the Deep Tissue Repair Oil, and if that doesn't work, add the BF&C.”I do not know if I would need to do this every day for my knee but perhaps I could use the oil as needed for muscle tension/tightness as you mentioned? The only problems might be it is a little hard to reach all the tight places myself but I could reach my shoulders some. I have done this previously with Tiger Balm. It's FANTASTIC for tension and tightness (if Willowley is reading this, she'll likely pop in add her thoughts on the Deep Tissue Oil). I understand about not being able to reach :( Perhaps your mom could help (?). Although it's best if someone massages it in, you will get a lot of "soothing/relaxing warmth" from even a light topical application....and it doesn't take very much. Typically we start with just one dropperful (say for a strained ankle or joint) and rub that in completely. It's pretty amazing what just one lil' dropperful can do!

My Mom is disabled and would not be able to help me but if it can soothe by application alone it might well be worth it! Perhaps I should try this in a sample and see how it works for me before I order the larger size? If I am correct a sample should be about 21 dropperfuls? Do the sample bottles come with droppers?

In the same post you said “Since we started using the Deep Tissue Repair Oil, we've never found a need for anything else.” Perhaps I might just need the oil ? Is that what you would think? Since I think I would mainly be using it for muscle tension/tightness That'll work! And if/when your knees start feeling achey, you could rub a couple of droppersful into them. My knees are happy for your knees already! :::grin:::

Ashwagandha - 1-3 Tablespoons daily (mixed with water or juice). I'd start with 1T and work up to 3T (if you need it). Will do! You can get this at Mountain Rose or Starwest Botanicals (always be sure to get "organic"!!!) 1lb of mountain rose organic is $12.50 versus Starwest which is $22.00. Any reason I would not get the mountain rose? Wow, I wonder when that happened..that's just crazy ($22 a pound) :( I typically get mine from M/R (but I've used it from Starwest). Get it from M/R and save yourself the $10 bucks!

Echinacea Tincture - 2-4 droppersful, 3-4x daily (to bolster & restore immune system and assist with Candida).Just wondering if this is something I am doing long term? Should I go ahead with the 8oz size?  I always want everybody to get as much Echinacea as they possibly can - I just can't help myself! (lol) I think there's likely more people on the forum that have decided to start making their own Echinacea tincture than any other tincture. Once you experience it's benefits, it becomes "essential". One of the greatest benefits is being able to knock-out a cold or flu before it 'gets you'; Rocky and I are going on 10 years without either! And that's just the tip of the 'benefit iceberg'. Our poor immune systems are under SO much stress (especially with Candida and when our gut-flora is out of whack); once you've taken it regularly, you'll likely notice that your body's 'none too happy' that you stopped.

Does it matter when I take it each day? For example on an empty stomach or with meal?

Kidney Cleanse - here's the complete instructions: http://curezone.com/upload/_N_Forums/Natural_Heali/Kidney_Cleanse.doc and here's the Working FAQ: [FAQ] Healing Cleanse: Kidney/Bladder: Working File Thread I count 25 different "renal adverse effects" on the various pharmaceuticals below (renal = kidneys), so your kidneys are seriously overdue for some TLC. Yikes! It does seem to need a little Kidney TLC among other things!  Yes indeedy! The truth is, we ALL need to do a bit of maintenance work a lot more frequently than we do - but it's really important when we've taken drugs that 'rough us up'.

I suggest you do at least one, five day Kidney Cleanse per month. When would you suggest I start this? Right away with the colon cleanse or wait? Consider the juice-fasting and the colon cleansing a "neutral"...every cleanse or protocol you do will be MORE effective when you're giving your body ultra-premium high-grade fuel, ensuring it assimilates (continuing to get rid of the build-up and restore your intestinal tract) while sopping up the toxic burden on your system. This will explain it a bit better (and answer one of the questions below)

From here http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1398953#i

Doing one cleanse at a time, can many times work against us. Think of it like restoring an automobile that's been driven hard & fast for 30 years without much (any!) regular maintenance...and really (REALLY!) cheap fuel - many times 'fuel' that was definitely not even designed for the car!   The exhaust is clogged, the fuel lines are filthy, the oil/filter needs changed (desperately), the carburetor needs calibrated and cleaned, sparks & plugs changed & gapped, alternator fixed/adjusted; transmission rebuilt (or at least overhauled);  suspension aligned; new tires needed, brake pads replaced., etc.  If you cleanse the exhaust & fuel lines (similar to the colon & parasite) before cleansing the oil/filter and carb (liver & parasites), you end up filthy fuel lines and clogged exhaust before you ever get the carb/oil/filter work.  But if you do the oil/filter/carb before you cleanse the fuel lines and get the gunk out of the exhaust and deal the points & plugs, the plugs'll be corroded again before you know it.  New tires & brake pads before an alignment? A waste of new tires/brake pads.  If the alternator is 'shorting or weak' that stresses all the system parts....the electrical flow through the engine is no different than the electrical flow through the body.   Change to high-grade fuel before cleansing and restoring the damage from the cheap fuel?  :::sigh::: That can end up being a waste of fuel (too rich for the compromised system to handle).   The human body is no different.  It's always much more effective to 'put it up on blocks' and do a full body cleanse/restore, than it is to do it one at a time.  Yep, it's more work, but it's FAR more effective (and you'll get MUCH more life out of the car by doing it that way).  Remember: in this toxic/poisoned world, our bodies are like high-performance automobiles CONSTANTLY in overdrive (generally running on VERY low grade fuel with extremely little maintenance).  There's no truly safe/healthy protocol (maintenance) we can do, that's as extreme as the totally unnatural conditions we live in.  And it's only MDs and "alternative practitioners" that believe we can deal with one system of the body at a time.  EVERY system/organ in the body depends upon every other.   (Perhaps those analogies weren't "mechanically/technically perfect", but I'm sure you get the idea).   In one of Dr. Schulzes interviews he talks about how many people say: "Well I did a colon cleanse; I did several liver flushes already; yeah, I juice fasted a few years ago; yes! I did hot/cold showers; I tried the vegan thing; I took herbs...none of it worked!"  And Dr. Schulze replies, "But did you ever do everything TOGETHER?".

Of course, we're not hunks of metal and fiberglass, and we don't start ripping out parts & filters while doing 12 different fluid changes all at the same time...our body HAS to keep running 24/7. But we know from the successful healers of the past centuries (and their mentors before them), that cleansing and restoring (done safely and effectively) is FAR less stressful and harmful to the body than having all organs/systems simultaneously sluggish, congested and working at only a 'percentage of capability' for decades on end (without doing ANY maintenance or ever even providing the premium fuel it needs while it's running on overdrive 24/7 simply because we live in such an incredibly toxic environment. (whew) How toxic is it? Babies are now born with over 200 poisonous chemicals in their blood...and that's WITH a placental barrier. We haven't had a placental barrier all our life! (somewhere on the forum there's a video about the babies/chemicals but I just can't seem to locate it! grrrrr)

I saw this on the FAQ link it states “IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM DR SCHULZE: You must complete the 2-week colon cleansing program using Intestinal Formula #1 and #2 and CONTINUE taking #1 & #2, while completing this Program. [Uny here, although Dr. Schulze said "you must", I have known MANY people that have done a Kidney Cleanse without using IF#1 & IF#2 at the same time. It's definitely OPTIMAL to use the IF#1/IF#2, but if you're in the middle of a 'kidney emergency', I think it's better to do the cleanse than to wait until you've done 2 weeks of colon cleansing].”So would I wait two weeks?

I am a little confused by the kidney cleanse document. On the first page it says “Kidney Cleanse/Flush 5 Days” then the second page it is “Five-day Cleansing and Detoxification Program for Kidney.” Are you suggesting I follow the instructions on page one or the instructions/diet on page 2? Since the second page program instructs you do “2 Days of a Purifying Raw-Food Program and a 3-Day Juice Fast .” I was not sure if I do this since I am not juice fasting at the start. So again just wondering do I start right away, in two weeks, or after I am regular in my bm’s and going to juice fast? Actually, this is another one of those "one of many faces of various Dr. Schulze instructions" things. When he was healing people in his clinic, he wasn't marketing product to people he'd never met. So now we have his (various) instructions from when he was in the clinic AND the way he suggests to do things for people that aren't doing a full program. What you're seeing above is how he would suggest to do a 5-day kidney cleanse if you just go to his website and decide to do a kidney cleanse.   You're going to be juice-fasting AND colon cleansing...so you can do a kidney cleanse (or a liver cleanse) at any time when you're doing those things.   If you feel more comfortable doing 2 weeks of colon cleansing before starting a kidney cleanse, that's certainly alright, but you don't "have" to do that.

I will do any of these things when you think it is best to do it, it does not matter to me if I wait 2 weeks. I actually would rather get it done as soon as I can while I am home.

I am still confused by which kidney cleanse instructions I would follow. Page one, “Kidney Cleanse/Flush 5 Days” which is just basically drinking the tea throughout the day. My guess is this would be while juice fasting?

On page two, the “Five-day Cleansing and Detoxification Program”, and also on the link you sent me that says “5-Day Kidney/Bladder Cleansing Program” it gives detailed instructions for what you should eat and when each of the five days.  For Days #2, #3 and #4 you are supposed to juice fast. It gives very specific instructions on what you can drink for example “it is BEST, while on this program NOT to mix fruit and vegetables together.” Should I be following these instructions and not mixing the fruit and vegetable juices?

On Day 5, states I am supposed to break my fast it says “Remember, breaking your fast is a very important part of this program.” If this is the case how do I do this while doing a long term juice fast? I am not sure how long I will be juice fasting but I just wondered.

After he was arrested and prevented from healing more people, he started selling product on the 'net. He wrote instructions for various cleanses based on how he thought he could best help people that were working full time, that couldn't do his program like he would have had them do it if they were coming to his clinic.

The document recommends “Drink a total of 4-6 cups of the Tea daily, with two droppersful of Kidney Tincture in each cup.” In the am it says to drink 2 cups. Would you space the additional 2-4 cups out throughout the day or each time you drink 2 at a time. For example 2 in the am, 2 afternoon and 2 evening? After the am ones are the rest also to be drank on an empty stomach for example an hour or something before eating?   If/when possible, it's always more effective to take the teas & tinctures on an empty stomach...but that's not always possible (and the herbs WILL get into your bloodstream eventually). The most important thing here is to remember that it's 2 droppersful of tincture per 1 cup of tea (don't put 2 cups into one mug and only add 2 droppersful of tincture). With your kidneys likely needing a lot of TLC, I recommend you go with the 6 cups of tea daily. After the first two cups, you can split the rest up however it's most comfortable for you.

On the document it says “Add to this a pinch of cayenne pepper”. Could I use cayenne powder I am buying from you or cayenne pepper? If cayenne pepper this may be silly but would I just buy a fresh one and add a little or do I buy a cayenne pepper in powder form? The Cayenne powder you're getting from us will be perfect!

On the document it says “maple syrup (or other natural sweetener) “. It seems I will be using natural sweeteners for a few things. There was blackstrap molasses or raw honey for the ACV, the Kefir link mentioned Rapadura, Succanat and I am sure there others I am forgetting . I am just wondering what you think I need to buy to stock my pantry and trying to condense what I can.  The Rapadura/Turbinado/Sucanat (or any type of 'evaporated cane juice - organic' are the easiest to utilize and the least expensive. There are some really "cheap" sugars that say "evaporated cane juice" that are finely ground and "grey/dirty" in color (ack). You're wanting the crystals to be big (like the kind you'd sprinkle on muffins) and light brown/golden. The Sucanat (that has blackstrap molasses in it) also has large crystals and is very dark brown (and tastes 'dark brown'). Personally, Turbinado is my favorite...but you can use any truly natural sweetener (except Agave Nectar - which really isn't natural at all, it's overprocessed and void of nutrients just like high fructose corn syrup). Maple Syrup (grade B has more nutrients than grade A) is fantastic, but very pricey (still...YUM - particularly with the Slippery Elm. There's also (natural organic, never "white") Palm, Date, Maple & Coconut sugars...all are good (and more expensive than the evaporated cane juice types).

Thank you for all the sugar info. I will look into them all. I want to figure out which sweeteners would be beneficial to have on hand so I can order in bulk if possible.  I see Azure has Turbinado Sugar (DEMERARA Raw) for $7.95 for 5 lbs. I think this would be for the Kidney Tea and any other time I need a natural sweetener, right? They have Maple Syrup Grade B, Organic 12.7 ozs for $11.00 (does sound yummy for the Slippery Elm so I think I might get!) The blackstrap molasses I will get for the ACV bomb.

For the Water Kefir you said “I use the sucanat when I don't mind a molasses 'overtone' (because I like getting the extra minerals in the molasses).” So is this what you use most often in your Water Kefir? Azure has Wholesome Sucanat, 100% Organic Dried Cane Juice $6.00 for 2 lbs. or would I use the Turbinado? I also read that you can use two sugars the sucanat and Palm?

Here are some other sweeteners I saw that you mentioned. Would it benefit me to have any of these on hand as well? Coconut Crystals, Raw, Organic-12oz $$6.45, Raw Cane Sugar, Fair Trade, 24ozs $3.85, Really Raw Honey 8oz for $5.65, would I need honey for anything?

Also in regards to natural sweeteners I currently use Stevia, just wondering your thoughts on Stevia?  Well, when people have to be sugar free (very few people really have to be), then if they use Stevia in it's natural form (powdered green leaf), that really IS natural. But "white powder" Stevia? That's really no more natural than "white sugar" :( Still, it's "sweet" without the sugar. We must remember though...anytime anything sweet touches our tongue, our pancreas immediately starts making/releasing insulin and our body readies itself for incoming sugar. But our body never receives that sugar, or any of the nutrients that should come along with the sugar! This is something that can cause 'insulin resistivity' (basically because it burns out our insulin receptors because we've "cried wolf" so many times). The other thing it does is make us hungry! Our body was expecting sugar & nutrients when it tasted "sweet", but didn't get ANY nutrients or sugar. After the insulin wears off (and it had no sugar to process), the blood sugar drops and we have strong cravings for food/snacks.   This is why diet soda typically causes a weight gain rather than a weight loss.

You may find after the first 5 day cleanse that you have a major reduction in symptoms - if that's the case, you can do another one in a week or two.   Since I have so much going on physically I was wondering if you were referring to any specific symptoms you are talking about or just feeling better in general?   The kidneys have a LOT of functions most people aren't aware. At most basic, they're the foundation of the adrenal glands, so if the kidneys are 'rock hardened' when they should be 'soft & flexible', this will negatively affect the adrenals. The kidneys (and adrenals) control our electrolytes, so many people feel much 'balanced' when those minerals are being processed properly. Also the kidneys play a big part in the regulation of blood pressure; they stimulate bone marrow to make red blood cells; and via calcitriol (Vitamin D) they help control calcium for the bones and maintain chemical balance. And of course, the more obvious things like fluid balance and blood cleansing/filtering. So, there's a LOT of reasons why you may have a "reduction in symptoms" after doing a kidney cleanse...and some of the improvement may be something 'indirectly affected' by the things the kidneys affect.

I think with everything we are trying if I start to feel better I might not know what to attribute it to the colon cleanse, kidney cleanse etc. I am hoping that is the case, that I have a reduction in symptoms! That said I am not sure if I would know it was the kidney cleanse that did it so perhaps it is best for me to wait to do a 2nd one the next month unless I have problems and need to do the Kidney stone/bad calcium flush. That way I can order a 10-Day now and do the 5-Day and have an extra 5-Day on hand to do with the Kidney stone/bad calcium flush if needed.

Occasionally when folks have taken a lot of calcium supplements (or ingested a lot of rock-minerals or had lots of hard/spring/mineral water), they experience a lessening of urine flow in their first kidney cleanse (that's typically just the herbs breaking up all the hardened minerals throughout the kidneys, which can cause a bit of slight congestion). If that should be the case, then you can go right into another cleanse and add the "Kidney stone/bad calcium flush" along with it. I see you sell a 5-day and a 10-day Kidney Cleanse. It seems more cost effective to buy a 10-day and then use that for two 5-day Cleanses. Is there any reason I would not do this?   The only reason I can think of is if you were sure were only going to do a 5-day cleanse.

So basically if I find that I am urinating much less than go right into my 2nd cleanse adding in the flush? YesI mentioned previously that I have always urinated frequently so I should be able to tell if it changes. Many people that urinate normally think they urinate 'frequently'. We should urinate around 6-8 times per day and void around 6 1/2 cups of urine (some say 8 cups). One of the most overlooked things about urinating too frequently (or 'leaking' when there's any type of bladder stress) is that 'colon thing' again. Before my first cleanse I'd reached the point (sometimes) that I would leak when I sneezed, coughed, laughed hard, or jumped on the trampoline. 'Turns out that was because of the engorged colon pressing on the bladder - when my colon was not longer engorged, I stopped leaking :) Another reason (believe it or not) is dehydration. If the bladder is dehydrated it shrinks and becomes non-elastic (so it can't hold nearly as much urine as it should), and that causes lot of times in the bathroom, with very little urinary output. Typically most people urinate like fire-hydrants when they kidney cleanse - your mileage may vary, of course.

Do I do the “Kidney stone/bad calcium flush" only if there is a dramatic lessening of urine flow? I am a little nervous that I won’t have any idea if I need to do this or not

And I assume I need to go ahead and purchase the "Kidney stone/bad calcium flush" to have on hand in case there is a problem? You'd likely feel more comfortable having it 'at the ready' if you discern you need it :)

I want to make sure I understand these directions. I split the 5oz mixture you are sending me into ½. I take each half which is 2.5 ounces and combine with freshly squeezed organic apple juice and allow to sit overnight out of the fridge, is this correct?

The next day I simmer both quarts but only strain one of them and drink it all that day, correct?

If I am drinking 2ozs/hour the first day then I am this for 16 hours. So I need to make sure I am up for 16 hours or I have to wake up to drink the 2oz/hour correct?

On the 2nd day I am straining all of the 2nd quart correct?

On the directions it says “On the morning of the 2nd day, strain and drink t his 1 qt. at a rate of 1 oz./hr., using up 16 oz. by the end of this 2nd day” Since a quart is 32 ozs so am I correct that I would only be drinking ½ of the 2nd quart on the 2nd day? Then drinking the other 16 ozs on the 3rd day?

What am I doing with the leftover 16oz from the 2nd quart that I strained on the 2nd day to drink on the 3rd ? Does it just get left out of the fridge waiting to drink on the 3rd day?

Rewriting those instructions (which would confuse Einstein!) is something I've needed to do since the forum opened - now's as good a time as any!

Thanks!

Kidney Stone - Bad Calcium Flush (4 days total, 3 days if juice fasting -- for dissolving kidney stones and/or hard minerals from the flesh of the kidneys & urinary tract, as well as dissolving hard minerals/calcium throughout the veins, arteries and other areas)

 Ingredients needed:

--5 ounces of mixed herbs (2oz of Hydrangea root; 2oz of Gravel root and 1 oz of Marshmallow root)

--1 4oz bag of Kidney/Bladder tea (or one 5-day Kidney Cleanse)

--2 quarts of (preferably) freshly juiced apple juice

--in addition to the regular amount of water you drink, you'll need 32 oz of distilled or R/O water the first 3 days (and a total of 64oz of distilled water on Day 4)

--if not juice fasting, you'll need 32 oz of juice on Days 2 & 3 and 64 oz of juice on Day 4. If juice fasting, be sure to drink at least 64oz of water of Day 4

 Instructions

 Evening before Day 1

--Using 2 quart jars, put 2.5 oz of the herb blend in each quart jar. Add one quart of apple juice to each jar. Allow both to sit overnight.

-- Put 3-4 Tablespoons of Kidney Tea herbs into 48 oz of distilled water to soak overnight.

 Day 1

--Prepare Kidney Tea as instructed below

-- Bring the contents of each jar to a boil, cover, and allow to simmer for at least 15 minutes. Cool. Strain/press the contents of Jar #1 (putting used herbs in mulch pot/pile or throw away). After straining/pressing the contents of Jar #1 and disposing of the herbs, if necessary, add enough water to equal 1 quart (32 oz) of herb/apple juice mixture.

After straining/pressing the contents of Jar #1 I refrigerate it, correct?

--Return the contents of Jar #2 to Jar #2. Do not strain/press the second jar. Instead, cover it tightly and put it in a cool dark place until Day 2 (shaking the jar every time you walk past it). Shake it at least 8x on Day 1

--Drink all 32 ounces of the contents of Jar #1 at the rate of 2oz every waking hour (16 hours) - that is 2 Tablespoons (1/8 of a cup) every hour. Drink an extra 32 oz of distilled or R/O water on Day 1.

So I need to make sure I am up for 16 hours or I have to wake up to drink the 2oz/hour correct?

--Drink at least 4 cups of Kidney Tea on Day 1 (6 cups is better)

 Day 2 -

--Prepare Kidney Tea as instructed below

--Shake the contents of Jar #2 thoroughly and strain/press out the herbs. Add distilled water (if needed) to equal 32 ounces. Split this into two smaller jars of 16 oz each. Refrigerate.

--Consume 16 of the strained herb/apple juice blend at the rate of 1 oz every waking hour (16 hours). 1 oz = 1 Tablespoon

--Drink an extra 32 oz of distilled or R/O water on Day 2.

--Drink at least 4 cups of Kidney Tea on Day 1 (6 cups is better)

 Day 3

--Prepare Kidney Tea as instructed below

--Shake the contents of last jar of apple juice/herb mixture.

--Consume 16oz of the strained herb/apple juice blend at the rate of 1 oz every waking hour (16 hours). 1 oz = 1 Tablespoon

--Drink an extra 32 oz of distilled or R/O water on Day 2.

--Drink at least 4 cups of Kidney Tea on Day 1 (6 cups is better)

 Day 4

--Juice & water/liquids fast - consume at least 64 oz of fresh juice and 64 oz of distilled or R/O filtered water.

You may repeat this cleanse at 1 week intervals until all Kidney stones are dissolved or desired results are achieved.

Remember - one large stone will dissolve much slower than 20 small stones.

If doing this with a 5-Day Kidney cleanse, it is recommended to start this protocol on the 2nd day of the 5-Day cleanse.

I would do a 2nd Kidney Cleanse with the Kidney Stone - Bad Calcium Flush, correct?

 Instructions for Kidney Tea:

Put three heaping tablespoons (medium) or four heaping tablespoons (strong) of the tea into 48 ounces of distilled water (water must be distilled, or high grade reverse osmosis only – we want the water to be as ‘empty’ as possible to absorb all the ‘herbal goodies’…other filtered & ionized water or spring/mineral water are not as good), and soak overnight. Be sure to use only stainless steel, glass, or enameled cookware. The next morning put it all into a blender and puree. Next, transfer to a pot and bring to a boil, immediately reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain out the herbs, but do not discard them. Let cool, but drink hot. Put the used herbs back into the container of tea for further soaking. (OR, do not strain the herbs out of the tea at all, and just strain each cup as you fill your cup). In the evening add 2-3 tablespoons more of the Kidney Tea herbs and enough water for the next day. Let sit overnite and repeat the process again. Keep adding new herbs/water to the old ones until the evening of the third day, then discard all herbs and start over.

Is there an easy way to strain the herbs out?

This was very helpful!

Liver Cleansing - once you get your bm's regulated and have done 7-10 days of the IF#2, you can start prepping your liver for series of Liver Flushes. The absolute best "prep" for a liver flush is Dr. Schulzes 5 Day Liver Cleanse; http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1617299 Is this your 5 Day Liver Cleanse (Tincture & Tea)?    Yes it is.

Sorry I have a lot of questions in regards to the liver. I am really confused about the instructions for the Five Day Liver Prep and the actual Liver Flush. On the link there is “Unyquity's Suggested Flush”, “Dr. Schulze’s 5-Day Liver Flush & Detoxification Program” and “The full-strength liver/gallbladder flush (The BIG Flush)”. I am not sure if one of these is the prep and one the flush and if I do all three things?  I am not sure what each of these are and where they fit into the plan? You said that “Dr. Schulte’s 5 Day Liver Cleanse” was the prep for the liver flush and in the storefront it was called “5 Day Liver Cleanse (Tincture & Tea”.

Can you please help me to understand which is the prep and which is the flush and confirm that all I need to buy is the 5 Day Liver Cleanse (Tincture & Tea)?

On this link you said “I always keep a jar of ginger juice in the freezer” I think this would be great for me to do for both the liver and my nausea issues.  You said “ You can just throw a big 'thumb sized' piece of ginger root in the blender with the olive oil, but you'll want to strain out the pulp (so be sure to add extra oil for that which will stay in the blender and that ends up in the pulp)”,is this still the best way? Would I grate the outside of the ginger off before I add it? You said “strain the pulp”, I am wondering if my blender will just mush all of this up and if I would be able to strain the pulp? If it is in a jar frozen when you need it do you defrost the whole jar and then refreeze it all?

Questions from the link on the Dr. Schulze’s 5-Day Liver Flush & Detoxification Program

For breakfast I drink the Morning Drink (Liver & Gallbladder Flush. They give different juices for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. For me I am guessing it is still summer since it is 90 degrees in Florida, correct?

It says “Consume 2 dropperfuls of Liver/Gallbladder - Anti-Parasite tonic 4 times daily during this cleanse. Take in a few ounces of water. It should be quite bitter.”

I see your notes that this is not the best way to do it, I think I would put it my tongue as you instructed previously with the Liver/GB tincture, correct?

I have compared the 5-Day Liver Flush & Detoxification Program and the Five-day Cleansing and Detoxification Program for Kidney (again I am still confused about which I am doing when) and they are very similar. You suggested that I start the liver prep 7-10 days onto IF#2 and the Kidney Cleanse right when I started IF#2 but I was not sure if you would do both of these together since they were similar or if it is too confusing/conflicting?

If I do not do them at the same time is it okay if the Kidney and Liver Flushes overlap? If I had to do a 2nd Kidney Cleanse it seems it would run into the start of the Liver Prep?  If they do overlap I am wondering how you would do the teas and breakfast drinks since they are different (this would be my same question if you did the Kidney and Liver together) If you do not do them together and they should not overlap would I postpone my liver prep until I had completed the kidney if I need to do the Kidney Stone - Bad Calcium Flush and the 2nd kidney flush with it?

When I compared the instructions for both, the drink you have within 1 hour of waking are different. With both you drink tea 15 minutes after the morning drink but I assume the teas are different? With the liver you are adding in the increase in Liver/GB tincture. But, what you eat/drink for the 5-days is the exact same. So if I do these together can you explain how I would do the teas and the morning drinks?

This Liver Plan, as with the Kidney Plan, gives detailed instructions for what you should eat and when each of the five days.  For Days #2, #3 and #4 you are supposed to juice fast. It gives very specific instructions on what you can drink for example “it is BEST, while on this program NOT to mix fruit and vegetables together.” Should I be following these instructions and not mixing the fruit and vegetable juices?

Also on Day 5, states I am supposed to break my fast it says “Remember, breaking your fast is a very important part of this program.” If this is the case (like with the Kidney) how do I do this while juice fasting?

On this link you also said “Anyone that doesn't do some type of parasite cleanse before flushing their liver is asking for trouble.”  I believe I am starting my parasite cleanse when I begin the IF#2. If I am starting the liver prep 7-10 days into the IF#2 and then the Liver Flush six days later, is that long enough of a parasite cleanse to begin on the liver?

If this is correct I am wondering about the juice fast.  I am not sure how long I will be able to do the fast. In the instructions for Dr. Schulze’s 5-Day Liver Flush & Detoxification Program Days #2, #3 and #4 suggest juice fasting but I see a note from you that says “You do not "have" to do the 3-day juice fast in the middle of the 5 day cleanse, but it's beneficial.”

I did not see any instructions on the link for what to do on the 5 day liver cleanse, maybe I am missing it?  Hmmm, the instructionss for the 5 Day Liver Cleanse are in the Liver FAQ here: http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1617299

Would purchasing the 5 day Liver Cleanse be enough or should I get the 10-Day? I was not sure if I was doing this more than once?  You will likely/definitely want to be doing more than one 5-Day cleanse, but perhaps not every time you do a liver flush.

When would you expect I would do my next Liver Prep and how often would I do the preps? Just wondering if I should get the 10-day now or if I could wait. Below you said “It takes most people a 'series' of liver flushes to adequately cleanse their liver - so you'll likely be working on your liver (on & off) for at least 4-5 months" but you said that I might not do a prep every time I do a flush.

When would I do the actual liver flush? Just wondering if I there is anything I would order now?  After doing the 5-Day Liver Cleanse, most people like do the liver flush on the evening of Day 6 - but that's not something you "have" to do, it's just seems to work out best if you plan it that way.

The one thing I suggest getting now for your liver (which, like your kidneys, is likely desperately in need of some attention), is a 2oz bottle of the Liver/GB tincture. I see this is included in the 5 Day Liver Cleanse package, would I need an additional 2oz bottle? For starters, for the first couple of weeks while you're getting accustomed to the IF#1/IF#2 and starting to work on the Kidney Cleanse & juice fasting, you might just want to get the 2oz bottle of the Liver/GB tincture and do the 'tongue drops' every day to start assisting digestion and flow of bile. Then after the Kidney cleanse you could order the 5-Day Liver Cleanses.

On the link for “Dr. Schulze’s 5-Day Liver Flush & Detoxification Program” it says to “consume 2 dropperfuls of Liver/Gallbladder - Anti-Parasite tonic 4 times daily during this cleanse”.  Also, below you said so you'll likely be working on your liver (on & off) for at least 4-5 months…. so I suggest 5x daily (3x daily minimum)” Does that mean while I am doing the “5-Day Liver Flush & Detoxification Program” I consume the Liver/GB tincture at 2 droppersful 4x/day and then after I would return to “5 drops of the tincture on your tongue 5 times a day”?

You'll need all the Liver/GB tincture in the 'package' for doing the 5 (or 10) Day Cleanse - so yes, you'll want that extra bottle.

You suggested I do “put 5 drops of the tincture on your tongue 5 times a day.”Does it matter when I do this each day? For example on empty stomach, etc? Since the point of this is NOT to assimilate herbs into the bloodstream, it doesn't matter whether or ot there is food in your stomach. But since it triggers bile production/release, it would be a good idea to do a few drops before every meal.

You mention later that “The Liver Tincture needs to be taken by itself because of the "bitters action" and you also say “it would be a good idea to do a few drops before every meal.”, I am trying to figure out where to fit this in with everything else.

I am still working on my daily schedule but I think 1 hour before my morning nutritional drink I was planning to take IF#2 and the Parasite Herbs, ½ hour before lunch and dinner I was planning to take IF#2 and the ACV Bomb, between lunch & dinner (and also between dinner and bed) I was taking IF#2 and parasite Herbs. So I am not sure where to fit this in each day. Maybe it would be better to decide when I get the whole daily schedule laid out?

How long would you suggest I do this for?  It takes most people a 'series' of liver flushes to adequately cleanse their liver - so you'll likely be working on your liver (on & off) for at least 4-5 months. This is a very beneficial, yet cheap & easy way to assist the process...so I suggest 5x daily (3x daily minimum).

Is there a schedule I should follow in regards to when to do the liver flushes or a way to know when I need to do one? How will I know when my liver is adequately cleansed?

This we use as "bitters" (it is VERY bitter). When we put anything bitter on our tongue, our liver is triggered to create/release bile - and getting a good flow of bile established is essential for cleansing & restoring the liver. All you need to do is put 5 drops of the tincture on your tongue 5 times a day (a 2oz bottle will last well over 2 months :) In the meantime, make sure you get a colander and a stethoscope. Being Your Own Doctor - Liver Flushing/Coffee Enemas [posted by Unyquity] Please forgive the 'tone' of that post (I was a bit zealous over some post/pm or another) – No worries at all. Your poop talk reminded me of the people who helped me when I had my colostomy bag. At first I was so grossed out but then at the end of 5 months it was much better. Can’t say I ever loved it but I did get over my poop…lol. YAY!!! (well, not for the colostomy bag of course) - but as you already know, "poop" in general can be a bit tough to learn how to deal with. Around here (like you and the colostomy situation), with all this colon cleansing (and parasites, too), it's something we've just gotta do! It seems like nearly every person I've ever known on CZ has always ended up laughing, saying something like "Who would have ever thought I'd be talking about my poop (or sharing PICTURES of it) on the internet?! At least no one needs to feel like they're the Lone Ranger! :)

That is almost exactly what I used to say while I had the colostomy bag. I would often say I cannot believe how much I am talking about my poop and how much people want to know about my poop!

also the entire thread has a LOT of good tips (and be sure to check out Listen to your Liver - STETHOSCOPE TUTORIAL [posted by Unyquity] when you get the time)   I will look over it all and in the meantime order a ADC Adscope Lite 609 Professional Stethoscope, sounds like I will need one. I saw one for sale on the ebay link for $16.95 -- That's the one we've always had (going on 10 years)...and it's survived being under a LOT of 'castor oil cloths'). We had to pay almost $30 for it 'back then'...thank heavens some things actually do get cheaper!

Castor Oil packs - you'll definitely be using these for your 'liver work'. We use castor oil packs "wherever it hurts or needs healing". In some countries castor oil is known as Palma Christa (the hand of Christ). There's not a lot we actually know about how it works, but the one thing that's for sure is that it's HIGHLY underestimated and under-utilized. You'll likely speed the healing of your knees incredibly (and relieve pain if you're having it), by wrapping them in a castor oil pack at night. [FAQ] Healing Cleanse: Castor Oil Packs: Working File Thread   I know I am going to have questions about this (as with everything..lol) but I thought perhaps I could do a separate post to you after I read thru all the information on the link. So since you say you can do them on “whatever 'part is broken'’ can I do a full body mummy pack for my broken body…lol!   It's funny you say that, cuz we're always wishing we could do that "mummy thing"!! Dr. Schulze (or was it Christopher) had a patient that decided he wanted to do just that, so he saturated a sleeping bag in castor oil and did 'full body all nighters' in the castor oil sleeping bag! That really WOULD be super! Indeed!

Other questions:

Is it okay to start all of this at once? I have had issues in the past when starting a lot of stuff at the same time, side effects etc but this has been medicine/vitamins and not natural herbs. I just wonder if there are any side effects or issues will it be too hard to tell what is causing it if I am on so much? For example the colon cleanses, slippery elm, cayenne, Lady's Slippers, Super Food, Kefir. Ashwagandha etc?   In the last post, I touched on this with the 'car example'. With unnatural supplements and NDs (that don't usually address anything structural or ensure toxins are being adequately adsorbed or flushed out) and don't ensure the body is assimilating all the fuel it need... doing this much would likely be cause for concern. However, we're using 100% natural foods, juices & herbs (except for the alcohol), and we're covering all the bases. AND we're following in the footsteps of healers that successfully (and safely) healed thousands of people (tens of thousands if you count those that have followed their protocols without getting to go to their clinic). Everything I see on that list is going to be healing & cleansing for your body (along with supporting it). Always remember...when our bodies start to 'break down' or exhibit symptoms, it really is the only have they have to cry out for help. It's always more stressful to any "machine" to force it to run when it's broken and in need of repair, than it is to repair it.

Oh yeah, of course, there's bound to be some dips in the "steady upward trend" (as well as some 'die off' and 'urpy-burpy' as you kill overgrowths and stir up decades old crud)...but you're going to have charcoal & bentonite to sop up the poisons (and some of the gas); IF#1 to keep things moving; Slippery Elm to soothe; Cayenne to keep the blood flowing, Lady's Slipper to help you sleep; Ashwagandha to help your body adapt (it's also an anti-inflammatory amongst other things) and St. John's to help you see that healing light at the end of the tunnel! Ample pure water to hydrate you and keep things 'liquid'; coffee enemas to help your liver SO much (yer libber is gonna lub you for those); EFT to soothe and heal your emotions (and relieve pain of all kinds); Superfood, juices, broths, & kefirs to provide an extravaganza of nutrition to your body...and all kinds of other "goodness" to support the process. Well when you put it like that…it sounds like you have created a very well rounded plan! And a whole bunch of us to hold your hand, share our stories, kiss yer boo-boos, shake our pom-poms and make sure you make it to the victory dance! And when it's all said & done...?...YOU will have earned the biggest prize of all. For the rest of your life you'll be 100% in charge of your own mind, body and health...and there's no 'urpy burpy' that's too high a price to pay for that!

Can any of this stuff upset my stomach or make me nauseous especially when I am juice fasting? Such as the IF, brain formula, Ashwagandha, etc?  Yep, there are some things that might (I would never yank yer winkie :) - the most likely is the oil in the liver cleansing & flushing and/or the raw garlic (until you get used to it). And of course any of us can react 'grumpily' to anything until our bodies get used to it. Start slow and just keep working on the 'steady upward trend'. We're catching up on a lifetime of overdue maintenance and having to repair some fairly serious damage, too. We've got anti-nausea herbs at our disposal and EFT is VERY effective for this. There's been a couple of folks (I think Bundles was one) that was having troubles getting down the IF#2...a few rounds of EFT and *poof*, all gone urpy!

I hate to ask anything considering all that you have done & are doing but would it be possible for you to create a daily schedule of sorts for me on the items you suggest I start with? I am a little confused by what to take when each day. There is a lot of stuff and I want to make sure I know when and how to take it all each day and for how long. I need a schedule of sorts to follow every day if possible. For things like the ACV bomb, the calcium tinuture, the cayenne tinture, the slippey elm, kidney stuff, liver stuff etc There's not one person on this forum that hasn't been exactly where you are 'once upon a time'! And yes, we'll/I'll help...but you'll need to put together an outline of 'here's what I'm gonna do & take' once you get that decided.  Wanna here some good news about the tinctures? The only tinctures you can't mix together are the ones that simply don't make sense to mix together (like the Lady's Slipper to make you sleepy, and the Brain Tincture with the Kola Nut/caffeine). The Liver Tincture needs to be taken by itself because of the "bitters action", but other than those you can mix them together (and splash them with some boiling water to 'steam off' the majority of the alcohol, if you want to), and mix some juice with them (or not). So that makes the 'tincture thing' MUCH easier.

Except for the liver one, can all the tinctures be mixed with juice or water for taste? For example the Echinacea, and Herbal Calcium Tincture? I am not sure if they all taste bad?

I know you get this question a lot but what about protein? I know when I did raw there was a lot I read about it. I mainly got my protein from spirulina and other superfoods. Does the superfoods formula give me all I need? Would I need additional superfoods or is everything I need in the superfoods formula? Gotcha covered! The first three short "protein chapters" are very VERY good (this is written by a "Gerson person") Regarding Protein, Juicing, and Healing

The links to the chapters are not working.

On the FAQs link it mentioned healthy oils [plant-sourced]: organic, unrefined, cold-pressed, virgin; [examples: coconut, olive, sunflower, flaxseed]. Is this something I should be doing as well? Is this where I would get my omega from such as the flaxseed oil? If I am raw/juicing I assume I am drinking these? I saw a post from you that mentioned different things about oils some things saying not to take any for awhile, just wondering your thoughts for me on oil. The whole "oil thing" is kind of up for grabs (I wish I had totally solid answers, but I just can't find/get them, for this protocol). We know this 100% for sure - Gerson used ZERO oils (none-zada-zip-zilch) for his first years in practice - tried many kinds of oils/fats and found that fresh flaxseed oil was the only one that didn't cause cancer to grow or return. So he changed his protocol to include 1-3 tablespoons of flaxseed oil daily. period. Schulze had no added oils except the olive oil used for liver cleansing and flushing. In the SaveYourManual, we hear interviewer Bizer talking about his wife needs to add flaxseed oil and flaxseed, but we don't hear Schulze say that. Dr. Christopher was big on olive oil and wheat germ oil. The two oils that *I* recommend for this protocol are those two. If you haven't checked out the benefits of Wheat Germ oil, be sure to check these: Benefits of Wheat Germ Oil   Superfood Profile: Find the Health Benefits of Wheat Germ Oil

Thank you I had never ever read anything on wheat germ oil sounds like good stuff!

Mountain Rose has top quality wheat germ oil - to my knowledge, no one has found a true organic offering anywhere.

When I'm juice fasting, I sometimes add a tablespoon or two of olive oil to the mineral broth (but not very often). I sometimes blend some coconut milk into a juice mix or two. (Surprisingly good combo - kiwi, celery, apple, with a lil' splash of coconut milk - organic kiwi are sometimes REALLY inexpensive. You can juice them with the skins on, you'll never notice the difference).

Yes, we need a tablespoon or two of oil daily - but with the Wheat Germ Oil (1-3 T daily), the fish oil (if using) and all the olive oil for the liver cleansing (plus any oils in the fruits, veggies, sprouted seeds, nuts & grains), that seems plenty good to me. BUT, if you feel otherwise (and have evidence of other healers having used the oil successfully in a healing protocol), then by all means, add what you feel is necessary. (But be careful/cautious of adding somethingbecause of someone with no clinical experience that wrote a book about it and made thousands by publishing his/her "oil theories")

That sounds like plenty to me. With the Wheat Germ oil how do you take it? Just drink it straight (sounds yucky) or mix? I am going to continue with my fish oil supplements. For the olive oil when you are not doing liver cleansing I do not think I would need to add additional, right? Especially if I am eating raw I would use it on my salads and such.

On the same FAQ’s link it also mentioned “non-active nutritional yeast”. I see it is in the superfoods but would I take additional?  There's no need to take additional, but if you want to, here's the cheapest source (it tastes similar to parmesan cheese): BulkFoods.com Fruits & Nuts, Chocolates & Candy, Spices & Seasonings, Gifts & Snack Mixes.

If no need than I will do with what I have!

On the same FAQ’s link it mentioned potassium broth but says it should only be used by very sick people. Would I do this?  Answered previously

When I did raw/juicing previously I read that it was good to drink a lemon with hot water first thing in the am for digestion. Do you think this is good? I see a version of this with the kidney stuff just wondering if I would do something like this long term? It's always good to have a big glass of water upon rising - lemon water is better yet :) That's a great thing to add!

I currently have ground flaxseed that I am trying to eat each day for additional fiber. Would you recommend that I continue this? You're going to be getting plenty of fiber with the IF#2, but if you wanna throw in some more ground flax with the IF#2 (or take it separately), that'll work.

Perhaps for the day when I stop IF#2 if that day comes!

I notice some people eat 2 to 4 tablespoons of coconut oil daily? If you recommend this do you have a product you like? None of the healers upon which this protocol is based utilized coconut oil...BUT...coconut oil wasn't readily available 'then' like it is now. I don't know what they would have done with coconut oil.   If you and your doctor within want to add it, it's not likely going to 'make or break' your success...but do keep in mind that oil takes a lot of energy to process and utilize.

Also in regards to the coconut oil I have seen that it can be good for many other things such as a body lotion. I have an older bottle that I am trying but it makes me very greasy? Any thoughts on this?  Other than I agree...it's really greasy? Not many thoughts. We use coconut oil as a base for our herbal oils (and I like them for that). But there's something about using coconut oil as a moisturizer that just doesn't quite 'sit right' with me. I don't know what it is exactly that's not sitting right, but I don't like it 'as a lotion'. (How was THAT for a scientific answer? lol) It was a great answer…lol. It is very greasy like well, oil!

Are there any other things (products, kitchen stuff etc) that you think I should get to stock my home for juice fasting/eating raw? I would rather go ahead and get what I need now to start my journey. Definitely canning jars! Quart, pint and 8oz sizes, and lots of 'em! We ship all our dry/powdered herbs in plastic baggies, and it's always best to get everything we ingest away from plastic. You'll want canning jars for your juices (1 cup or pint sized - when we use the 'canning jar method' it's very important we drink ALL of the juice in the jar after we open it (no putting back partial jars in the fridge to oxidize and degrade the enzymes), so get the most of whatever size you'll use most for your juices. (Btw, the apple juice for the kidney stone/calcium flush can be in partially filled jar, because the enzymes aren't integral to the process/formula).   I also use canning jars for storing the ACV and molasses (premixed) out on the countertop where I can easily get to it.

Yes I realized I need loads of jars. Is Azure the least expensive place for buying them?

If you're into 'short term loss for long term savings' (and major benefits), switch all your personal hygeine soaps, lotion and laundry, cleaning supplies to totally non-toxic  Miracle II products. They are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! And talk about a healing bath? WOW - it's SO energizing!!! And the lotion/moisturizer...it's FANTASTIC! Here's more info for checking out: Attention! MIRACLE II PRODUCTS - fanstastic! AND lowest prices!! (new thread/more info and better source) - http://curezone.com/forums/am.asp?i=1686066

In the link that had the stethoscope links, there was a plastic colander. You'll need one of those when liver flushing.

Hot water bottle for castor oil packs and hot/cold therapy? (you could get two and use one for cold): http://tinyurl.com/2g78hex

Oh yes, for securing castor oil pack anywhere on your torso, here's some images of what works great:

"Chux" - I find these indispensable for using with Coffee Enemas, Castor Oil packs, and to cover Activated Charcoal (other) poultices -- disposable blue, absorbent waterproof 'bed pads'/liners (typically used for incontinence or house-training puppies). You can use them with the absorbent side "up" for 'catching spills' from enemas, or use the waterproof side for castor oil packs (or anything you need to 'water/oil proof'. Here's the most versatile size (17"x24") and the best quality & price I've found ($39.99 for 300)...AND free shipping, too (at least, it's free shipping at the time I'm writing this): http://www.mednetdirect.com/Puppy-Training-Pads-Pet-Care-s/390.htm http://curezone.com/upload/_N_Forums/Natural_Heali/chuxonbed.jpg

Let me tell you what, chux (above) have saved the day/night so many times, I'd pay $1 each for them if I had to! I generally put two cheap "wal-mart rugs" atop my bed, then put a chux pad atop those, and do my CE's comfortably in my bed (of course, my bed is only 7/8 steps from my bathroom. But it's SO much better than the bathroom floor (or the bathtub, where I started out doing them...because I was SURE I was going to "poopy coffee" all over myself and the bathroom.

Anything else like the garlic press for instance I might buy that would be helpful?  That garlic-twister is a 'must have' (as far as I'm concerned).

Is there an online store or place that you might reommnend that I purchase some of the organic items I need? For example the ACV, blackstrap molasses, raw honey, other sweeteners, Spices (like cinnamin/nutmeg) etc? I can go to whole foods but I wondered if you knew of better/less expensive place? I also see that with the kefir and other things I will need to get some mason/canning jars, glass bottles, collander, plastic mesh strainer etc. Any places online you can reommend for this type stuff as well? Since you have done this all for so long I thought you might have some ideas on where I might get this type stuff. Hmmm, I think between Azure Standard (the place I suggested for produce before - they also have all KINDS of staples, sugars and organic everythings), and all of the aboves, I'm pretty sure that about covers it. I found my colander at the local 'dollar general store' (but back in the 'stethoscope link' there's a couple of online selections). If you want to get individual bottles for storing water kefir, these are a bit pricey, but they are GREAT: http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=116

(they have all KINDS of neat/fun/functional bottles!)

Can you give me any idea how I might feel as I start this? I think I read in regards to the colon cleanse at first I might be constipated and if I am fasting I might not feel 100%. Just wondering what to expect. Hmmm, let's see...scared, nervous, tense, uptight, worried, stressed - naaaah, that's what you're feeling NOW, but you won't likely be feeling after you get your order and start 'becoming one with the healing goodies'. Sure, you'll feel a little unsure of yourself (and maybe a little bit of self-doubt, etc)...but you've already decided to 'work into this cleanse', rather than jumping in without warming up. Most likely you're going to feel VERY excited. And when you see the lil' surprise in your box, you're not hardly going to be able to wait until you can 'use it'. Hmmmm, the lil' surprise?

If you're not constipated now, you're not going to become constipated by improving your diet and starting the IF#1 (which is to make sure you don't get constipated!). Just start slowly - no hurries, no worries; it's a chance to 'make new friends' with more of Nature's/God's healing goodness. And always remember...you are NOT the first person to ever do this! Tens of thousands of people have used these exact products over many, many decades. Yes, it's new to you...but it's NOT new at all. Yes, you may be technically 'alone', but you're NOT 'all by yourself'...you've got all of us! (and for most of this, you really wouldn't want us any closer than we are! lol. It's one thing to share poop-stories on the 'net with strangers, it's a whole other experience to share a bathroom!)

Thank you, I am excited!

Are there any interactions I should worry about between any of this natural stuff and my migraine or other meds if I have to take them? Obviously my hope is I will no longer need them but if I have a migraine that won’t go away and need imitrex, narcotics etc could there be a problem? You mentioned St. John’s & imitrex, I also saw info on not mixing with narcotics.  The most likely "reaction" with St. John's is that it will simply lower the blood level of the Imitrex. That's not really a chemical interaction, it just lowers the blood level because it helps the liver to detox the Imitrex faster. The Cayenne will not react with any pharmaceutical, so that's no problem for sure. After I see a list of what exactly you order, I'll be sure to check my database and see if I can find any others I'm might be missing or forgetting.

Thank you very much for checking the database, I appreciate it. As I said I hope to stay away from everything but it is good to know just in case. The main things to check would be Imitrex, Percocet (in case the headache gets really bad). Phernergan and Zofran (in case the nausea is very bad)

I see on a post you mentioned soaking non-organic produce in 1/2 cup of benonite liquid, is this what I should be doing? Is there an inexpensive place to buy the benonite liquid? We've got Bentonite clay in the Storefront (1/2 pound or 1 pound), it's much cheaper to mix your own than to buy it premixed. If you want 5#, here's where we get ours - Bentonite - The Natural Holistic Health Care Option

How would I utilize the clay for soaking the produce? You said it is easier to mix my own, would I mix it first and then use as a produce wash?

I see a lot of the tinctures are mixed with alcohol. Is there any concern about this making me drowsy or anything else?   Splash 'em with boiling water and the majority of the alcohol will evaporate away :)

If I am out and use the tincture with a migraine should I be concerned with the alcohol since I am taking so much? I know the first few times I need to test when I am home to see if I have any effects. Just wondering your thoughts and what my alcohol level might be? Since I am out I cannot splash with the boiling water I was wondering.

Also, I am taking a lot of tinctures with alcohol during the day so perhaps it is best for me to do the boiling water thing with them all when I am home because I do not want to get too tired?

In regards to castor oil I realize it is important but I do want to take some time and read through everything and then format my questions for you. Is this anything I would need to start right away or can it wait? At least until my liver flushes right? This would give me a bit to look it all over and do another post to you about it
