Whats GCG? And what other ways are there to get rid of the stones when not flushing? So far everytime I've flushed I've only got green stones making me think its not doing anything however it does make me feel good so I'm wondering essentially why.
Hi Chris
GCG is cold coin grass. To chinese herbalists it is also known as Jin Qian Cao.
You can get it in a tincture, tablet, or powdered form to dissolve into a tea. I take the tablet form because tinctures and teas unsettled my stomach.
I was in quite a bit of pain and just after a day 1/2 of starting this herb, my pain began to subside. After awhile I noticed I was passing black shard like pieces in my stools off and on. When I asked the chinese herbalist about this, I learned how gold coin works. It soothes the spasms of the gallbladder and begins working on the stones by slowly breaking them down, crushing and softening them. I had no idea what to expect when I started using gold coin! I was pretty much at my wits end because I had been in pain over a month straight. I remember telling my husband on the way to pick up the herb that day that if this didn't work I was going in for surgery. I was really worn down.
I can't praise this herb enough. Even the acid reflux problem I had has eased.
Using this, with a healthy diet, healthy oils, water, yoga, really helped me.
If you are interested in the brand of tablets I use let me know.
Many people on this board like Julia Chang's herbs. I tried to use her tincture but it upset my stomach so I had to switch to tablet again. But you know many people have found relief in using Julia Chang's stuff.
Good luck to you! Hope you find your cure : )
