I like the analogy of dropping an atomic bomb. If you have a so-called terrorist cell in a neighborhood, you don't wipe out the whole city to get rid of it. Neither do you get rid of it with something that will end up poisioning the rest of the neighborhood.
As regards the liver and bile ducts, when they operate properly they process toxins and fats (which store toxins) out of the body. When they do not operate properly, the liver becomes a fat and toxin storage facility and, instead of toxins being processed out through the bile duct, they remain in the body and are recirculated to cause even further damage.
