Re: Good Calories Bad Calories

Just to throw another variable into the mix regarding diabetic health (i'm a type I for the last 20 yrs) and all the info out there from the establishment that is based on a fundamentally flawed and unexamined for the last 50 odd years thesis.....i offer up the book by a man named Andreas Moritz : The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse. The liver is the workhorse of the body, filtering out all the poisons we ingest (smoking, pollutants, medicines, drugs-both prescription and recreational, alcohol, animal protein, caffeine, sugar, milk products) and between our snacking, overeating and eating of garbage processed foods on top of all the rest, it gets chock full of liver stones and the gall bladder of gall stones and nowhere does it ever mention that fat is bad for you but it is the KIND of fat that is bad for you, your liver, that is, butter, milk, lowfat milk products, reduced fat products and fats from animals. And it goes into how the hepatic ducts become overwhelmed in producing bile to digest all this garbage and snacking and overeating stops it from working on the last meal, abandoning it for the lastest foods ingested and leaving the previous meal to putrify and cause bacteria to grow....and the unused bile and bile salts then clog ducts, arteries and don't get flushed out and this disrupts cholesterol production in the liver and also leaves hardened bile stones (liver and gall stones) all over the place. Cleansing the liver and ridding it of all these stones as well as changing our eating habits and diet rebalances our lymphatic system, our cholesterol production, our aterial health and venous health (plaques disapper) cardiac, renal, and so on down the line. But i blather on and the best way to find out about this is to read the book. I HIGHLY recommend it to all diabetics because since the pancreas is "asleep" so to speak, the liver picks up a lot of the slack and therein lie all the diabetic complications and meds that they are always trying to throw down our throats.
