Re: Good Calories Bad Calories

I'm absolutely shocked at the changes in my body and my brain fog. Sugar and carbs were doing very bad things to me. I definitely have an insulin resistant body type, as does my husband. By cutting out sugars the weight is just falling off of us. I feel really healthy.

The message that Taubes shares is that it's how our body metabolizes Sugar is the key. Fat has zero to do with it. We have been brainwashed to believe that fat is the boogeyman, and carbs is our savior. It's all BS. It was hard to wrap my brain around all this, but the book definitely changed my mind.

All the things I was doing at CZ, all the little successes and failures trying this and that was a good learning experience, but it was my Sugar intake that at the end of the day, was the thing making me unhealthy. Live and learn.

For the first time in many many years I can clearly see my future of health, along with my husbands.
