Re: Good Calories Bad Calories

Well at the risk of upsetting vegitarians, etc, I eat mostly meat and eggs. I'm in the "losing" stage so I have to be very careful to limit my carbs to no more than 30g a day.

My husband and I have been experimenting with a lot of cabbage, cauliflower etc. I'm addicted to sliced beef on arugula with truffle oil sprinkled over. I had some teriyaki chicken with some co-workers the other day, and I swear I felt almost lightheaded. The Sugar was just coursing through, and I had the most intense cravings for carbs in the afternoon. It's been quite awhile since I felt that intensity.

I am eating a lot more dairy than I normally used to as well. I'm not a big dairy fan, so it pains me.

Once I get down to a mangeable weight, I will definitely start to incorporate small amounts of carbs back into my diet.

Truthfully I don't think that any of these food plans are one size fits all. But I do think that for anyone that has issues with insulin production, it's the hands down best way to go. They have very adequately linked insulin problems to cancer and heart disease, and a whole host of other physical problems.

We have so many discussions at this website. Could it be as easy as insulin that makes most everyone ill? It certainly seems to be that way for me.

That book was beyond an eye-opener. It just may have saved my life.
