Re: TO GAIN WEIGHT/ stop weight loss on a protein diet, you need 5-7k KCALS daily, not 1, not 2, not 3 not even 4!!!
anna, so sorry you are on
Antibiotics again. i had late diagnosed lyme beginning in 1999 and went through several rounds of oral
Antibiotics and then 6 weeks of intravenous ceftin
Antibiotic that i administered myself through a home health care provider. back then i had to take 'Lactinex' chewable tabs every time i ate while on the
Antibiotics . the pharmacist has them behind the counter in fridge. i don't know why they helped me so much, but they did the trick for stopping the stomach cramping, nausea and diarrhea caused by the antibiotic. this was before the current probiotics were around. lol
i finally remembered a tick bite i had seven months before finally going to the doctor when i began wondering if i had early altzheimer's b/c i was only 45yrs old then and got to a stop sign by work and didn't know which way to turn. i also had lots of joint and muscle pain. the doc thought to test me for lyme so i am very fortunate to have gotten a diagnoses and treatment i received.
it has taken me years to get my health to a tolerably stable level. it may take you awhile, but you will get better. i made the most progress when i went to a naturopath and detoxed and rebuilt my immune system with correct diet and supplements. my adrenals were shot. i had allergies all my life and when i got on a strict gluten/dairy free diet and it helped me alot.
probiotics have been one of the best things i have done for my body. and massage therapy has been very helpful in supporting my immune system and helps the lymph glands if you can find someone who knows what they are doing.
my naturopath guy looks at my blood under a microscope to check for red/white cell shape, fungus, and other stuff i don't remember. he shows it to me on a computer screen. very interesting.
did you find a lyme literate doc near you? when i searched for one the nearest one is 5-6hrs away so i haven't gone.
i hope you are withstanding the
Antibiotic okay. don't give up hope, you are not alone!! there are lots of us out here, we just need to connect.
