Re: Very thin to begin with, First week of candida diet, please help, I need some hope

Jorge: I easily get 2,500 calories a day on my diet. I track everything I eat. Also I never advocated a zero carb diet, I keep my carbs around 45-60g a day all from non-starchy veggies.

Just quick sample of my calories for reference:

Fats: 6 tbsps of Coconut Oil a day 130 calories * 6 = 780 calories

Protein: 8 eggs over two meals = 70 calories * 8 = 560 calories

Chicken Thighs: anywhere from 8-10oz a day = 260-300 calories

Wild Salmon fillet 4-6oz = 200-250 calories

Carbs: 12-15 oz of red cabbage over two meals: 200-220 calories

8-12 oz of broccoli: 160-180 calories

7-10 oz of Cauliflower: 75-90 calories

Supplements: 1 tbsp Cod Liver Oil: 120 calories

Do the math, that's anywhere between 2,400-2,500 calories and YES that is literally what I eat EVERYDAY, of course there's days when I substitute items, but I always make sure it fits into my macros. I try to keep my range at 60-65% fat 25-30% protein and carbs around 7-8%.

I have seen a dramatic improvement in every single one of my symptoms following this routine over the past 3 months. The only thing I have left symptom wise is a very slight coating on part of my tongue, which I believe the detoxing I just started will take care of...

I fail to see how its impossible to get that level of caloric intake in, I find it rather easy especially with the high fat.

Yeast does feed on sugar, but its been proven that a portion of fats and protein get broken down into glucose for use in body when carbs are low. I was never pushing a zero carb diet, don't know where you got that from unless someone else mentioned it.

You mention killing candida, and I don't agree with that school of thought. I'm all about building up the immune system through proper nutrient intake (diet) exercise, rest and detoxing.

Again you don't starve off candida, at least not in my opinion, you build up the immune system to help the fungi return to their harmless yeast form.
