Pain and Stress Center
Pioneer1
I looked up the Pain and Stress center online. It looked like I might be able to get some help/support. I called the 800 number and they gave me the office number and told me to call in the morning when they opened.
I did and I spoke to someone by the name of Laura. I told her that I had found out about them online.
I told her I was going off my psych med Pristiq and wanted to know more about what they had to offer etc.
She sounded short and I felt blown off. She said I could order a book and that I could use that protocol at home. She said that they had consulting for 30 minute and 60 minute sessions, that I could go online and fill out a new patient form. She really did not say more than that and I was getting frustrated. I asked if she was having a bad day, for she seemed kind of short. The wall came up even more. I told her I was in the midst of getting off the anti depressants and needed some help. I asked where I could get the book. She said I could order it online. (That was going to take several days to receive, then read it and then order any supplements, etc.)I said well I guess I am not going to get any help. She said we are not set up like that. It will take two weeks before you can even speak to anyone - consulting. I then thanked her for her help and said my good byes.
Very very disappointed. I was left feeling very insignificant and minimized.
For one I would think that these practitioners would be a bit more understanding to what I am going through and be a bit more helpful.
I read the about us and there were two originators . . . Sahley and Birkner. I wonder if they know customers or potential customers are being treated in this manner.
Oh I did ask about Sahley and Laura (the person I was speaking to) said Sahley does not do any consulting any longer. There are only 2 - herself (Laura) and a Linda. There were more listed on the site.
