Re: Water Quality...
dontstopdreaming,
love the nose.......although I can't say the same about the glasses.
You are quite right...............
"And more people should use it (fasting) for starting a more healthy life thereafter".
But this comment is only partially true.......
"But there are so many who just jump into it and fail. And that is what is the real pity".
"They do not, and this unhealthy path is certainly not what is taught here. Fasting followed by extremely nutritious eating is. Have you actually read through this forum at all?"
You should try to understand that almost everyone here is attempting to carry out a process that is not generally recognised or accepted and akin with starvation to the general populace, despite its therapeutic history.
Each individual who attempts a fast here realises that this is only one of very few venues that can provide an avenue of support and encouragement, and probably against a tide of opinion in opposition at home and within their own family.
Under these circumstances is it really very surprising that there are failures in original goals?
But you are entirely wrong concerning what is actually taught here: the benefits of water-only-fasting and where each question is painstakingly answered by those who have the experience and knowledge of its process for the benefit of the questioner.
Perhaps you would like to explain what you actually mean when members fast here for "the wrong reasons"?
"How are you to know who is in need of a water fast?"
Just about everyone, as their endogenous and exogenous toxins build with the passage of time requiring a good "clean-out" in preventing disease.
"The purpose of my message was to make people question things, and look more into their lifestyle outside of a fast. And NOT to generally question water fasting".
I think you are right on this score because there can be too much emphasis on, or preoccupation with water-only fasting, instead of using it as a tool for a healthier life thereafter.
But, in case we forget, this is actually the "Water-Fast-Only-Support-forum, (not the plant-based-eating forum) and where people will come here for advice and of course support in allowing fasting to be a stepping-stone to a healthier life.
"Nutritious eating" I think was a generalisation for a low-calorie nutrient-dense diet that is mainly plant-based.
