Re: Water Quality...

"Juice-fasting is actually juice-feasting, as you are still living from external sources of nutrition."
Yes, though we usually still refer to it by fasting. And some people consider excluding grains and meat to be a kind of fast too.

"no diet (regardless of its quality) is of any use in the absence of little to no appetite, and where the body is unable to digest or assimilate food."
Yes, if people could only do a Water Fast then, it would be ideal.
But so many people here seem to think Water Fasting to be the best method to lose weight or to detoxify the body.

But there are easier ways, and I would claim that there are more efficient ways.

And what if your natural detoxification system is in poor shape? What to do, if your liver and colon is clogged?

I very much believe in the power of certain kinds of fibre to bind to the toxins.

"A water-only fast is in fact a physiological rest, and whose worried, and about what exactly?"
I mean generally worried and tense. The values of the masses ensure that they keep straining and stressing to achieve "happiness".
I also think that Water Fasting gives the body a great rest, where all the stimulants from food is gone.
But the colon is the main-channel for eliminating toxins, not just the indigestible materials.

Many people, including me in the past, would benefit a lot by just eliminating all the damn cooked food! And all grain and meat.
Much more so than starving themselves by water-fasting, and then eating junk-food again.

I mean, people hope that they will become blessed or something because they strain themselves and will themselves to do things.
But all they get is a temporary high, and then a crash.

In reality it's very simple and effortless, and naturally super-healthy and strong animals don't strain themselves at all, they just eat what they know is good to them directly from the source.

But no, people continue to strain and punish themselves...

"No one to my knowledge has recommended tap-water on a fast, but only the best purest water available: distilled."
Ok, but no one recommended me to drink higher quality water.

So you don't believe that the broad spectrum of minerals in spring water is beneficial?
It is natural after all, and if it's hard to decide: I tend to go with what is the most natural and of the highest quality. It has been filtered by nature just fine, and got some minerals dissolved in it. And it has got some H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) to boot.
And minerals are essential to all the processes in the body.

Though I still believe in distilled water. And I will try to build a sun still if I can just find the materials...

Clogging the arteries? Has anyone proved the cause-effect relation of that?
It would be interesting to see how distilled water and spring water compares on a water fast.

So all I'm saying is most of the people here aren't truly in need of a water fast. All they need is more high quality foods.
That is the permanent solution that truly works at all times.
