Re: christian cliches

Yes, she does. I met a retired Irish Catholic priest some years ago. He had preached from the pulpit for 35 years, retiring in his early 60's - and then he got married! Out came his carpet slippers and a bottle, and after a few years his wife threatened divorce if he did not stop drinking, so he went to A.A. for help. I was there for his most powerful story - "After preaching the WORD for over 3 decades, I found the authentic GOD in Alcoholics Anonymous" - he said to the amazement of the audience, and wished he had "the principles of the The Program for his congregation for all those years- could have really helped them, rather than the Catholic hogwash..." (A.A. has the pick-a-God, all inclusive, whatever your conception may be version of spirituality).

So one priest changed his mind and decided there is no God, and the other changed his mind and decided the one he believed was wrong and found a different one that worked for him until his sober death last year at 85 years young.

Yes, she is laughing too!!! aaaalllll the time .....
