Re: Scar tissue and the colon

If you carry a lot of stress/worries/anxieties, it will exaggerate and amplify any physical problem.

Exercise always helps ... it can help tire the body but not the mind. So maybe consider adding in different forms of exercise - yoga, tai chi, pilates etc. ... ones which help to center you and may include a little meditation chucked in as well. If those are not available, walking quietly in nature will help.

There is a mind-body connection to constipation. It is linked with holding onto things/fear of letting go - this could be in any form: relationships, clutter, grudges etc. A wholistic approach (mind-body-spirit) for yourself will include thinking about what you have in your life (people, things, thoughts, beliefs etc.) that no longer serve you. Letting go of those, can relax your body and produce easier bowel movements.

You might like to add some rice bran to your diet, as that contains good fiber + vitamin E which will help scar tissue soften.

Of course, seek professional physical therapy as well.

Oh, and make sure you read this article on squatting and the effects on the colon: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2004/07/28/fear-the-squat-...

I'm sure you'll find a solution that doesn't include surgery. Relax :-)

Best of health to you!

Maya
