Thanks Kathy. Yeah, we all learned quite a bit from them, it gets passed generationally too. How's the school band gig ? I never made it that way, my business seems to keep me here, one thing after another, the days all melt together like in the cartoons when the pages on the calendar flip fast-forward style. Grandfather's mother was a bootlegger, had the only car on the street and didn't speak a word of english. Feds would come bust her periodically, she'd pay $ 500 (lot of money then) and they'd leave her alone for six months. she bought a roller piano but wouldn't let the kids touch it, but grandfather would put on a roll when nobody was around and put his fingers on the keys as they went down and learned all the songs. He played great for abou 70 years or more and will always live on in the several prof. quality CD's he had made. Grandmother made CD's of all her cooking recipes, how to make everything she knew how to make, so those crafts won't be lost. Its a rough time for many but helps alot knowing how practically pragmatic they both are. Words insuffice.
