A post giving Thanks to the forum and it's core people...
Again, this is very interesting to point out the BS filtering, which is not nearly as easy as one might thing.
Specifically, have seen you cut to the chase, nay, cut a poster's head off at the knees, and sure enough, you were right. They were forum trolls. Picked up that right away, your ability to ferret out the trolls. Your BS filter operaing at high efficiency. Which I knew comes from a not insignificant amount of research and insight.
17 years ago when my sweetie was over the cliff and few gave her a chance, at the core of my belief was that smart, aggressive people could find the right elements to hand to her, as the body would respond to the right things if availed. She's in the other room right now, singing. This has been at the center of everything for me... that given the right things, the body, mind, etc, can follow. We've had so many things stacked up that it is too often having to figure out which 5 of the first 10 major issues do we deal with at that moment. It has often been constant heart in throat having to make choices that have repercussions. Like, the need to advance some supplements to support disintegrating connective tissue, while risking bolstering an immunosuppressed system which is counterintuitive and also dangerous. Waiting for monthly labs alone is harrowing sometimes.
Anyway, you get the idea. Study is not always convenient. That nagging thing called 'time' coupled with complications gets in the way. Which is why this recent event, of literally reversing a downward spiral heading towards yet another major surgery was jaw dropping. We've had several impossible situations become not so impossible through shear force of will. Never give up. You should have seen the look on the ortho doc's face, no really, you should have seen the look on the doc's face when the results of a myriad of tests were laid out. The before and after picture was affected in a little over two months. He was at a loss to explain how the construct of her hip integrity changed FOR THE BETTER until I was asked, what happened. I did. The doc was still at a loss. Not us. We knew.
The operative words to be attached to 'study' would be 'rentless'. 'Tenacious' comes to mind too.
I hope you will continue to dip in and sprinkle your BS filter pixie dust on these threads. Some of us owe a debt of gratitude to you that words don't even come close to expressing...
