Re: The myth of chronic acidosis

Why is ok to manipulate the pH of the acidic parts of the body such as the stomach and skin? A body in balance on a healthy Diet and lifestyle should not need to do this. If you will say due to age, then why dont the other parts of the body get effected?

Once again the blood pH should be neutral. Outside of neutral is dangerous. The alkalzing proponents do not suggest trying to alkalinize the blood.

Nor do they suggest alkalinizing the gut or skin.

Im not sure what alkalinizing drinks are, Ive been talking about diet and lifestyle but if they are fresh juices then that is fine.

They also do not suggest avoiding acidic foods per say. For example, lemons are acidic by themselves, but highly recommended by these proponents. The minerals within them are great for the internal system.
