True indeed, why mess with what nature has created, the perfect body..forcing the body to become to alkaline is dangerous is as being too acidic, but as HV has mentioned the body has so many different buffer systems to balance out in order to properly function. Actually, being too alkaline has a whole host of problems as well from bone damage to organ failure. So, I think it's not whether we should be checking our PH everytime we breathe, but rather finding that balance that makes us feel happy and healthy. I know allot of people where I work, who eat crap, smoke, drink, but for the most part from what I see are happy. Now, of course I don't live with them, so I am only judging them on the time I see them at work, but they seem to be happy.
