Re: The myth of chronic acidosis

I think it is really important to inform people that their own bodies already have systems in place to make sure that their bodies do not become too acidic or too alkaline. People need to know that true acidosis or alkalosis is rare, and there is nearly always an underlying cause.

People can manipulate the acidity or alkalinity of certain areas of the body , such as the stomach, skin, mouth etc, but this will not effect the alkalinity or acidity of the lymph system or the blood.

I still find it very hard to believe that so many people are suffering from years of candida overgrowth. Yeast infections are a common thing when taking anti-biotics, or forcing the stomach into an alkaline state, but when the cause is removed, and the diet conducive to good gut flora growth, and ample stomach acid, the candida (yeast infection) in most cases, clears up.

I'm interested to know how people can 'feel' that they are acidic, and how people are diagnosing candida, particularly those who believe that they have had this overgrowth for years.
