Re: Is xylitol a poison?

Yes. People do go around eating trees. Not counting fruit trees or those who produce berries (juniper) and nuts.

Gen. George Washington saved his Valley Forge troops from starvation when he got them to chew on fir bark.

The Pacific yew tree helps to fight ovarian cancer; and probably other forms of cancer.

The maritime pine tree (France) is one source of pycnogenol.

Then there is the delicious maple syrup.

The native Americans used tree resin (pitch) for numerous health benefits.

We love trees.
