Good post though.
Since we are talking cytokines and neurotransmitters, I would like to mention, that "my" parasite, which I believe is the likely cause of the candida phenomenon, may inhibit SIgA by some signaling factor, or enzyme and possibly prompts the production of IL-10, by direct infection of macrophages.
I have seen these parasites invade mast cells as well, and the litany of mediators produced in those cells + cKit is still being studied. These are just some of the immune mechanisms that I believe contribute to fungal over production. Shroom
