Re: My Doctor Wants Me to See a Psychiatrist
I'd to see that N.D. The cost will only be for the initial first appointment and consultation. And, actually, that may be all you will need. It may be a bit costly, but try and save up for it. You will get a lot of information that will be helpful as far as a correct eating program and some vitamins.
I've been hypoglycemic for 22 years. It takes time too, even when eating right for the first time, for you body to adjust. For some, it takes a few weeks, others a few months, but you will see progress during this time.
First of all: always eat breakfast as soon as you wake up. And try to avoid foods that have lots of carbohydrates. Add foods that are high in fiber.
Breakfast: 1 piece of 12 grain toast, buttered
1 cup of cottage cheese or 2 hard boil. eggs
1/2 cup of milk
1/4 cup of frozen or fresh unsweetned berries
decaf tea, NO COFFEE
Lunch: 1 big lean hamburger patty with onions
sliced tomatoes
green beans
2 or 3 Rye Krist crackers, buttered
1/2 cup of V-8 juice
3:00 Snack: hand full of raw nuts or a few cheese sl.
1/2 apple
Dinner: chicken breast
non starchy vegetable
salad
1 piece of 12 grain toast
herb tea
Bed snack ( a MUST )
a few whole grain crackers with nut butter
a few cherry tomatoes
1/2 sliced raw bell pepper
1/2 cup of milk
1 thick slice of chedder cheese
Hope this helps.
