Re: My Doctor Wants Me to See a Psychiatrist

Perhaps I should have started my own thread but this seems easier (as I'm new to this forum!)

I have read your posts with great interest! We have recently been taking my 11yr old daughter to drs & specialist & she's had various tests to try & confirm what her symptoms are coming from. We do suspect Hypoglycemia but a 12hr fasting blt came back normal. Her symptoms of extreme tiredness in the morning to the extreme of not being able to correspond or do anything without falling back to sleep, hunger, lack of energy that she can not partispate in sport, craving for sweets. With unexplained reason she was on crutches for 2 mths with swollen & painful feet unable to bear any weight Is often hurting her feet & has had trouble for a couple of years esp after activity.
Does anyone know if is it possible to be hyperglycemic but not show in a blood test?

The Dr said they have drawn a blank & feel it is behavioural overtones. I am totally discussed by his conclusion. She is not an attention seeker in any way.
I'm at wits end to know where to go but have started treating her with Chromium tab this week. I guess I was looking for a Medical diognosos so that I cd then treat her naturally.

We did a test for a couple of mornings & gave her a spoon of honey while still in bed asleep & within 20 mins she had woken & was ready to get up. I know honey isn't the answer but it was our little test. We actually bought a Acru blood tester for diebetis but she test ok. So wonder if there's some blood ready that isn't easy to read for hypoglycemia. From what I've read it'seems it's abit of a dark area.

Look forward to some feed back.
