Re: Actually, ozone was tested in HIV+ patients

Actually, ozone WAS tested in HIV patients many years ago:

(removing the blood, treating it with ozone, and returning it to the patients) – no effect. This is the abstract for the phase II trial. You’ll see it reported that in the uncontrolled phase I trial, a few patients appeared to show some improvement. There was also some in vitro work that suggested that ozone would help. This pattern (preliminary results suggesting a benefit, followed by more rigorous – and often longer-term – trials showing no benefit) is a common theme in research into new HIV treatments.
Anyone who has been alive with this virus for at least a couple decades remembers when there was a lot of interest in ozone for HIV. Most of the people I know who tried to cure their HIV with ozone are now dead.

Other studies have proven otherwise. The problem with the abstract is that there is a lot of information about the study missing. Such as what was the ozone concentration being used? If they used suboptimal ozone concentrations then this would explain their findings including no effect on other immune factors. I find their study hard to believe since studies conducted at the SF Veteran's Hospital and from Germany show it to be very effective. And due to the fact that ozone has been shown in numerous studies to enhance various immune factors such as increases in peroxides needed to activate white blood cells, increases in immune stimulating cytokines, and SOD. The fact that they found no increases in any of these leads me to believe that they deliberately used ineffective levels of ozone, or somehow otherwise screwed up the test. This would be like giving people an ounce of water a day and coming to the conclusion that water does not help to hydrate the body.
